Perfect for our short visit in Welland

The property was exactly as pictured and very, very clean. Communication was clear and timely. No complaints at all, but…. A few additional amenities would make it even better—mainly nightstands, additional bed pillows and an afghan or lightweight blanket since temperature isn’t controlled by renter.

The house is very close to one of the largest lock system for boats navgating in all the big lakes in Canada, also only 40 minutes from Niagara Falls. I would suggest written instructions for using the TV, AC system a little noisy in one room but easy to adapt. I am happy to refer anyone to this house in the futur.

Absolutely Clean Property

This is a very cute, well maintained property with a very responsive host. The property is clean with a lot of amenities and utensils for visitors who like to prepare some of their meals. It has many stores and eateries just around the corner, and only 4 minutes to Welland Main Street. The only caveat, which is not really a showstopper for us, is the property having only one combined bathroom/toilet. This could make it a logistic and strategic puzzle for some visitors to juggle. We were able to overcome this issue, because the wife is very structured in planning ahead, on how to manage this situation. Hence again not a big issue or showstopper for us. We plan to stay here again as the property cleanliness and tranquil location trumps everything for us.

Simple and cheap

This property was very inexpensive therefore you do get what you pay for which is a bare bone apartment. It minimally checks all the boxes however the quality of everything is low end. If you are looking for cozy and attractive this is not for. If you just need a place to lay your head it will definetly do, however one of the beds is uncomfortable and sags in the middle. The air conditioners run continually and are overly loud. Ann was very accommodating when we requested it simply be turned off as our first night we barely slept due to the noice. There are no accessible controls for it on site. The apartment was very clean. Some improvements would include: - night tables in the bedrooms - more hangers - some throw blankets - higher quality bedding and pillows - the lawns front and back to be mowed Unfortunately the city of Welland decided to do some Construction on the sewer system and without any notice pounded in the door at 7:30 wanting us to move our car. We had to spend the day off site as it was noisy with heavy duty machinery on-site all day. When reported it to Ann she was very apologetic as she had no prior notice of this. Ann was quick to reposed to our emails and very friendly. Overall the apartment was okay, we have family in the area therefore we spent very little time on site.

Hi Patricia I’m sorry to see that you are still not happy that I did not agree to your request for a refund because the City knocked on door to ask you to remove your car from the street so they could replace public sewer lines. Again, I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused by the City, but this was not in my control, so I could not refund you as you’ve requested. The only complaint you made was about the city. Had you complaint about issues with bed, it would have been addressed immediately since we want our guests to have comfortable rest. There were only 2 of you staying there, and there is another queen size bed in the other room. I’ve never had any complaint about bed prior to your stay, or after your stay. I’ve replaced 2 pillows in second room so future guests will have have pillows that are comfy. . This 2 bedroom apartment is equipped with several amenities including central air conditioner / heat, washer, dryer, stainless steel fridge and dishwasher, stove, electric firesplace, iron and ironboard, tv, plates, pots, utensils, new beds, couch, and sofa, and clean beddings, dresser and chest of drawer among other things, so I’m disappointed to hear that you feel it’s bareboned. I am sorry that only front lawn was mowed the day you arrived because the rain came down and the back could not be mowed. Due to privacy concerns, we do not attend the property outside of an emergency during guests stays. Replacement night tables will arrive soon. Thank you and your many friends/ families of all ages for returning the indoor furnitures after having the whole day party on July 31st, which other guests who were inconvenienced complaint about (and I otherwise confirmed). Please note, there is a ‘no party’ policy on this listing. I will continue to improve my listing so that guests will continue to have excellent accommodations and guests may be comfortable to provide fair and meaningful feedback to improve my services.

Short getaway with family to Welland and Niagara

Our host Ann provided very clear and easy details for check in and also made herself available to address any questions we may have had in relation to our stay. We have family in Welland but had some additional out of country family here and needed somewhere to basically rest for a few nights, as we spent most of our days out and about in the region. This location was very quiet and nearby many local amenities which made breakfast, dinner, etc easy to line up. If you wanted to do your own cooking the lovely kitchen and appliances were more than up to the job too. It is an older property but with some quite modern upgrades having been applied. Having individual bedrooms was a key improvement over getting say a hotel room for 4 individuals and having the other regular house areas notched it over the top for us. Had some great sleeps and no real issues. Would be more than happy to return and wish Ann all the best for further satisfied customers.
