Le Saltaire Cottages est un établissement pittoresque au bord de l’océan, situé au milepost 2. 5 à Kitty Hawk, en Caroline du Nord. Ce monument accueille les familles aux Outer Banks depuis plus de 50 ans!

Il y a des cottages de 1 à 4 chambres dotés chacun d'une cuisine complète, d'une salle familiale et d'un balcon aménagé. Notre accès à la plage privée se trouve directement de l'autre côté de la rue et une belle piscine avec solarium surélevée est sur place. Chaque unité dispose de la chaleur / air, TV, cuisinière / four, micro-ondes, Keurig, grille-pain, casseroles / poêles, vaisselle et couverts
L'espace:
Ce chalet confortable 4 chambres / 2 salles de bain offre toutes les commodités dans un environnement magnifique et paisible.

Les chambres sont simples, propres et confortables. Ce cottage dispose de 4 chambres, de 2 salles de bains et d’un grand porche avec vue sur l’océan. Il y a une télévision à écran plat et la télévision par câble.

Great location and beautiful house

Great property, super close to the beach entrance, easy to get to the pool as well. Outdoor shower was great, i don’t think it was advertised. It was a very chill place.

Resort pool. Warm water. The ocean was freezing im afraid.

Great location and cottage

This cottage is very charming with plenty of room to sleep many guests!! It's close to the beach and has private beach access. It's close to grocery stores and restaurants. Access to the pool was awesome. The weather wasn't great during our stay so the pool was a great amenity. Check in and out was really easy. Overall we had a great time!! My only complaint is that the sliding door to the deck was really tough to open and close, but didn't affect our stay! We can't wait to come back!

Terrible communication by the owner/property manager especially given the severity of the hurricane during my stay. Lots of flies inside the unit. Beds uncomfortable. Proximity to the beach is the only positive here.

Would stay again!

The view in the picture is exactly what you will see from the front porch, the location is great and this worked perfect for a quick adult family get away - although we all said our kids would have loved it too! As for the property: The cottage was right across the street from the ocean, it was next to the Saltaire and managed by them but it was like you were on your own too. The girls at the office were very helpful and nice (I think her name was Kayla?). The neighbor, Deborah, was super helpful too. She was very welcoming and gave us a lot of good tips for the area (she's lived there forever). We had separate parking from the resort area too which was nice. I wouldn't say the cottage was updated, but it was nice and clean. The living space/dining area was small but really we spent most of the time we were there outside on the porch, it was covered and had a pretty nice view. The basement had a separate bathroom and the washer dryer, but it was also perfect for storing our wagon and beach stuff. They had a nice outdoor shower and even a separate hose by the steps just for your feet. There were 2 bedrooms with a d/t bunk beds, a 3rd room with a queen and then the 4th room with a queen and a half bath attached. We were able to use the pool at Saltaire which looked nice but never made it over there. The office also had beach chairs and umbrellas you could rent for like $5 a day too. Would recommend! The overall location was perfect too, it was a decent distance from Nags Head and Corolla so we were able to do sight seeing, in the morning and spend the afternoon/evenings at the beach. Thinking about this all again makes me want to go back :)

Great Family Vacation

We were delightfully impressed with the amount of space we had. Bedrooms were a little small, especially the one with the King bed. Kitchen was nice.

It was a nice place besides having bugs in the house. There were several large roaches in the house. Also one day the water did not get hot.

Great Location

I stayed here with my extended family and this place was really great. The communication with management was very good, and they had great customer service. The only complaint was the floor was very dirty/sandy when we first arrived. Otherwise everything was very nice and as the pictures described, the cottage was great and the private propane grill was a great bonus!

Perfection in Kitty Hawk

Location is lovely. Great beach access. Pool is adequate. We stayed in unit 14 with 4 adults and three children. Kids loved the bunks and personal TV. Beds could be a little more comfortable. Kitchen is adequately stocked. The friendliness and attention by the property manager makes this place perfect, he was prompt and friendly. AC went out and was fixed in no time. Nice tips on local areas for sunsets. I’d stay with the family again.

1st annual company fishing trip

Cottage was as advertised. Was just looking for a place to sleep for the guys but it turned out to be the perfect spot. Plenty of room outside for cornhole and even a basketball goal.

Good location but house in general very cheap in every aspect

Location is really nice, just few steps from beach and you get very good views of ocean. We rented unit#14, this doesn't have Fully covered porch. Furniture in house is very cheap quality, stain marks on couch & rug extremely dirty. kitchen is equipped with bare minimum low quality stuff. We had to get our own Toiletries since the owner provided only 2 small bottles for a family of 7. I would say house is more of level of renting room in Motel. No good common area to enjoy meal/ drinks with family & friends. I would not recommend this place.

Our Stay

Overall, the stay was great! We enjoyed our time and had a wonderful neighbor that gave us all of the insights. The only problem we had was our early check in. I had been in contact about early check in and had it verified that I was good to go, but upon arriving the house was not ready and the cleaners were unaware of us having an early check in. Thankfully, the cleaners were wonderful and did their best to get us in as soon as they were done!

Good place, but stay on management

I enjoyed my stay here. The upstairs portion of the property was very clean. The pictures do not at all show you the mostly unfinished basement underneath of the place. It's dirty and the extra bathroom could use some work compared to the upstairs bathrooms. Management was helpful for the most part. My only frustration was that as soon as I booked I requested to pay the extra fee for late checkout through email. I got no response for two weeks after it was offered to me by management. When I checked back in to make sure I had the late checkout they had already leased the space early to another guest. It makes me angry that I requested it first after it was offered to me, and then they could not follow up in time for me to secure the opening after providing it to someone else. In addition, the neighbor to this spot is a very nice lady with what I believe to be good intentions who also feels as though she runs the neighborhood. I was told by her multiple times to move a car out of one of our designated parking spots because "she just did not feel it was going to be safe there" while the car was parked on the asphalt away from her property. This is obviously not an issue that management can do anything about, but it's something to note when you stay here. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend the place to people as long as they follow some of my suggestions above.

Perfect Getaway

My friends and I had an amazing four days staying at this property. It was so clean and ready for us when we arrived. Everyone on the property was so nice and accommodating. The check in was very smooth and easy. We were pleasantly surprised, we thought the pictures made the place look a bit smaller than it was. We had plenty of space for the 9 of us to hang out, cook, and play games. The porch is wonderful and the view is exactly as pictured, beautiful view and beach front. It is easy and safe to cross the road to the beach which is right there. This place had one and a half baths upstairs, full bath and laundry downstairs, and an outdoor shower which was magical. Fenced in front yard with our own grill, perfect for corn hole. We also had a picnic table and plenty of parking space for games/corn hole by the house. Parking was not an issue at all, we had three cars and I believe plenty more space for parking. We would stay here again in a heart beat and we loved it!!!
