We travel as a family every November. This place was AWESOME! It was very relaxing. They had everything you need to cook all your meals. The hot tub was a bonus, which we enjoyed one night. I recommend this place and will return in the future.
I would challenge you to find nicer mountain & valley views almost anywhere in the NC + TN area. This updated cabin showcases the Smoky Mountains beautifully. Sadly, it wasn't as clean as it should've been.
We so enjoyed our stay at this delightful cabin. The View was absolutely beautiful! The only problem was trying to get in the cabin when we got there. The code for the Yale lock did not work. After much frustration, we finally had to use the backup code for the actual key. Overall, this cabin was awesome and we will be back!
Loved this property! The views were amazing. I would definitely stay here again. My only suggestion would be that the porches need to be swept/cleaned more often, lots and lots of cob webs and huge spiders.
There is a newly built house to the left of this property. Otherwise pretty private. Beautiful views and nice property. Nicely appointed. We did have to fill the hot tub a bit.
Excellent place to stay and very spacious! Willing to come back!
This property was at the top of a hill and provided an amazing view and backyard. Very spacious indoors and the outdoor balcony is a great spot to relax and unwind. Not too far from the nearest grocery store and gas station either.
Gorgeous location, close to the National park and national forest. The cabin itself is spotless, tests fully decorated and very functional - especially the beautiful new huge screened-in porch and hot tub. We loved our time and canât wait to return! Book it!
So upon entering the cabin I was overall pleased with the location, set up and Christmas ambience. I was not pleased to find long globs of hair strung across the shower wall. The following day a pipe busted, which I understand unexpected things but it also meant family had to leave early due to the time frame and having 7 people needing water to start the day. We tried to also book things with the explorium that was advertised, but the Biltmore was booked until Jan 5th and the only other option was a train ride that started at 9am, so it was a bit disheartening to hear things that are âincludedâ overall the property choice was a good selection but not much else.
We just returned from a long weekend at this cabin. It was nice and the views are amazing. Some things you should know:
It is up a very steep road with loose gravel. We had heavy rain while there and it was quite treacherous. I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle, especially if the weather is wet or icy.
The cabin appeared larger online. I thought we were getting two stories of living space but that is not the case. All of the rooms are on the top floor (kitchen, bedrooms, living room, etc) and the bottom floor is not open to guests (Not sure what is in the locked up bottom floor). So space is a little tighter than you might expect from pictures.
The cabin was clean upon arrival. The beds were comfortable. Usually we are provided with âbasicsâ at cabins but this cabin left room for improvement with starter supplies. For example, there was no dishwasher soap, laundry soap, counter cleaner spray, etc. So come with everything you need.
The views are amazing. Just come with everything you need and a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
Very steep road to the house! We had midsize suvâs and an Accord. We all did fine but canât imagine driving that road in rain or snow especially! We lucked out with warmer Dec weather. Well worth it for the view though. This house is at the top of the hill with out any obstruction. The bunk room doesnât get as warm as the rest of the house and the bunk beds are poor quality, definitely canât handle much weight. No instructions left for you on the property. The confirmation email gives you the key code and confirms GPS location. Find the rest on the rental website FAQs (ie. linens, laundry, trash, etc.) they only left 1 small pack of detergent so bring your own if you plan on doing laundry/longer stays. 30min from Bryson City. 1 hour from Cherokee. Both towns have SMNP entrances. Bryson is a better town to visit, but the Cherokee Entrance to the park is on 441 and itâs a beautiful drive! The cabin is in a dry county but lots of options en route to stock up. The cabin had all the kitchen supplies we needed otherwise. Although, the host gift was a bag of whole bean coffee, hot cocoa and tea bags...but no tea kettle or coffee grinder provided?? Otherwise, beautiful private property with a great hot tub and sun porch views to sit and sip coffee or champagne!
Very much enjoyed, beautiful property with gorgeous view. The road to cabin was more rustic than the cabin itself. Wish it were closer to more activities.
