We had a good stay at Studio411 in Bennington. The place was as described with all we needed to be comfortable. Duane was very responsive. Itâs a pretty town centrally located for tourists like us, and we would stay here again if in the area.
Nicely located apartment in this historic town. This place had everything we needed for our trip. Great coffee shops and restaurants close by. The owner was always in touch when we had questions, it was much appreciated. We will come back!
Great, large apartment in downtown Bennington, Vermont. Walk to restaurants and shops. Short drive to area attractions. Small amount of traffic noise did not bother us at all. We slept well each night.
Loved this VRBO in downtown Bennington. The place had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Duane was a text away and thorough about location, access and parking. Your vehicle is literally steps from the door and the apt is steps from restaurants, coffee shops, etc. You do have to manage a flight of stairs, but I think the description tells you that. Our barking dog (sorry!) loved it as well :) A great stay!
Very clean , safe and comfortable studio apartment . Only reason location and neighborhood was 4 not 5 stars is that Iâm a very light sleeper and it is located on Main St so there is traffic noises. Duane was wonderful and made checking in very easy!
I had a great experience staying here in the middle of the most beautiful town of Bennington. I was there for family weekend at Bennington College and it was convenient not having to drive far, 8 minutes drive to the campus. I loved that all restaurants were next to me and every day had a taste of the delicious authentic foods. The apartment is spacious with a beautiful kitchen and dining area. It definitely saved me money too. Duane, the host is very welcoming and helpful!
All is well in the comfortable studio apartment above the yogurt shop. I stayed a month, due to delays in a construction project. I was glad to have somewhere mellow to hang my hat. The apartment totally met my needs.
The studio was clean and seemed newly decorated. Great to have a full kitchen if you were staying for several days. The space is right on a very busy street, perfect for people who like to stay out late and want an easy commute home at the end of the night. It was a bit loud for us and the downtown sounds kept us awake.
A lovely renovated space in an older building. Comfortable, clean, and convienient.
Bennington is a pretty town to walk in. There are many historical estates surrounding the monument for the Battle of Bennington. The architecture of the old homes is interesting and beautiful. We enjoyed our visit to this part of Vermont.
We stayed here for 2 weeks while in between buying/selling a house. The space worked great for the three of us plus a few furry friends. We walked to different restaurants several nights for dinner, cafes for coffee and breakfast, frozen yogurt (right beneath us!) and ice cream, the gym, etc. Everything is very close and in a safe location. All you may need was provided, and the owners were super nice and always very responsive to my questions. We will return :-)
There were more good things about the place than were listed in the description!
Everything we needed was within walking distance, the place was big, clean, and had everything we needed. The only thing that wouldâve helped in the cold weather was to have a hairdryer.
I've lived, and with my wife Betsy, raised my family here in Bennington since 1992. I was born and attended school in Fairfield, CT then moved north to be closer to the ski slopes I enjoyed during my youth. I'm a big supporter of the downtown revitalization efforts here which ultimately led me to purchase this building which was vacant and in need of much TLC. In my professional capacity I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) licensed in Vermont. After tax season ends in April, I enjoy designing and managing the rehabilitation of older buildings like this one to get them back into productive use.
Vermont is a magical place, especially in Autumn when the sugar maple, white oak, and birch trees display their annual colors. Winter is no less spectacular with snow covered mountains, sparkling tree branches, and deep blue skies. Spring and summer are times for street festivals, parades, and the nearby drive-in movie theatre. But more than the changing seasons, the comfort and security of small town America is Bennington's greatest asset. Rich in art, culture, and history, Bennington has an almost endless variety of things to experience. From the world class museum to the revolutionary war battle monument and battle field, Bennington has a past to share with you.
The energy and excitement of Bennington's 4 Corners Downtown District, in the center of town, is magnified many times over when you are actually living right there. Imagine waking up in the morning and being only steps from a hot cup of coffee and a great breakfast at a local restaurant. When it's time to satisfy your sweet tooth, visit the self-serve frozen yogurt shop just below you on the ground floor where you can "Create-Your-Own-Desert". You don't need a car or even a bicycle to get around town from this location. When you are done exploring on foot, hop in your car to nearby attractions and destinations more easily reached in a vehicle.
