We loved our stay. The house is very well
Outfitted and makes both a great âretreatâ and launching off point for sites in the area like the Frank Lloyd Wright houses. We were 3 women on a âgirlsâ weekend but would also accommodate 3 couples.
This home is charming. Itâs so soothing to listen to the stream in the morning with a cup of coffee on the porch or in the evening by the fire. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could need during your stay. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is like being at a spa. If you want peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay.
I decided to pick this rental due to the beauty and location as it was close to places I love and visit frequently. It was also the 90th birthday of my grandfather who I brought with me, as well as my gram and 9 year old son. We had a blast, the home is super clean, even more beautiful in person than online! The host was very kind and easy to reach if need be. I did catch a fish and saw many others as well as frogs, salamanders, newts, etc. All from the yard and stream line, just perfect. We can't travel much with my grandparents but this place was perfect because there was so much to do We didn't have to leave anywhere else and still enjoyed our time! The pavilion was a beautiful touch, all top of the line appliances and grills, anything u need is there! I packed a lot of things that were available for use and laughed!!! Definitely will be back with my husband if the host will allow! Thank you for the beautiful 3 day getaway. We definitely made memories to last and I got some great family photos!!!! Blessings.
I rented this cabin so I could come back home to PA to spend time with family for Christmas. The owner was very responsive to my questions and even decorated for Christmas. My son was so excited to see a Christmas tree when we walked in. Cabin was stocked with everything you needed. Wifi was excellent. Very clean and maintained well. Tvs in all the bedrooms. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Huge yard with a beautiful stream. I have stayed in a lot of vrbos and this was one of our top stays. If I could rate this property more stars I would. Perfect place to spend quality time with family.
This is the third year we have stayed here. It is beautiful and well kept. Every time we go, something is updated/added. The location is gorgeous. We enjoy the firepit and creek the most! I look forward to our next visit to this cabin.
This is a lovely cottage, impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. It is centrally located in the Laurel Highlands, close to Falling Water, Ohio Pyle and many other attractions.
Overall amazing
clean and updated
they thought of everything
Conveniently located to many local attractions
Driveways steep but accessible with four-wheel-drive and higher vehicles low profile vehicles we have trouble navigating the driveway
The property is a secluded retreat that allows you get away with your family. Extremely comfortable, clean and private, it give you the chance to re-connect with your loved ones.
Our overall experience was fantastic. The cabin was clean, modern, and setup perfectly. Just bring your clothes, swim suit, a good book, and enjoy a very peaceful stay.
The location allowed everyone to do as much or as little they wanted.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful place, and the coffee bar.
I rate the host with something less than one star - the house and itâs amenities get a 5-star rating. I am also a Premier Partner with VRBO with 5 houses in Costa Rica and a SuperHost on a different platform. Hosting is literally my job.
We had a lovely, easy stay at this house. We thoroughly enjoyed its comforts and picnic table and sitting by the stream - not to mention its ideal Location to Ohiopyle and Fallingwaters, however everything fell apart after we left.
Backstory: the day before we left late in the afternoon during our wine hour - some guys stopped by from the local power company saying they had to enter the property to look at trees by the powerlines - note: we did not give them permission, but rather we were told what they were doing.
We asked the guys not to trim any trees or make any noise and they said they would be back a different day. I did not mention this to the owner because shortly after our ideal wine hour listening to the stream, my niece was hospitalized and I spent the rest of the night dealing with that.
Upon leaving the next morning, after washing and putting away all dishes, removing the trash, cleaning the grill and following all other protocols they asked us to, including sending a friendly email saying that we had left the property and that âby the way, there are some guys who just showed up to trim some trees on your property,â I was called by VRBO saying the owner wanted a conference call because I had pretended to be the owner and had given the power company permission to cut trees on her property. What???!!!! During the call the owner would not let me speak - for which I notably got very frustrated as she kept speaking over me - and accused me of what was said above. I explained that nothing of the sort was true - at no time had we given permission - we were told what was happening - not asked - by the power company.
Everything about the way the owner treated us, her condescending manner on the âconference callâ (interesting side note: even the VRBO representative said to the owner that her problem was with the power company and NOT us), her refusal to let me speak and to LISTEN to our side of the story was appalling. So yeah - she gets a one star - how you finish things matters. Our lovely, peaceful stay is now rippled with memories of a crazy owner who accused us of allowing a power company to cut trees on and around their power lines and easement.
Everything was perfect. Itâs the ideal getaway, the hosts were wonderful, the scenery is incredible, itâs even better than it looks in the photos. Canât wait to come back. There are not any grocery stores near by so plan ahead on groceries.
The pictures of the house and grounds are accurate. Cabin and yard area are beautiful. The furniture and niceties in every room made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. We discovered more things every day. There are nice porches on front and back of the house, a swing near the creek, fire pit with seating as well as a table under a gazebo which was perfect for playing games with the grandkids. Be sure to take it slow on the driveway! Easy to get to Ohiopyle and the Yough Marina.
Place is as advertised. Very private. Very peaceful. Wonderful property with fire pit, stream and secluded setting. Quick drive to Ohiopile, falling water, rafting and hiking. Smart TVs, decked out kitchen and coffee bar.
My friends and I went away for a weekend and booked this listing. House is nice place, updated and in an exclusive location tucked in woods. Nice cooking ware and blackstone grille. House is clean, comfortable bedrooms. However if you plan on booking with some friends and want to have a couple guest join you for dinner one evening, donât plan on it. We had 2 guests over the 6 person âpropertyâ limit on this 2 acres in the middle of the woods cabin and were told our guests had to leave due to âinsurance reasonâ and âfire code reasonâ or our reservation would be canceled and would be forced to leave immediately and this was at 6:30pm saturday evening right in the middle of cooking a nice steak, tri-tip, burgers and sides dinner for everyone. Told owners our guests were not staying the night either but was still told they had to leave. We respected owners request and had to force friends of ours to leave we havenât seen since pre-pandemic. They said the neighbor across the creek contacted them which means if you arenât liking your time to their liking, they will contact the owners. If itâs a parking issue, you have a big place there, expand the driveway. And for âprivate getawayâ, the cabin is surrounded by 6 or 7 cameras on the porches and connected around the outside of the house. Even if told they were not to âspy on guestsâ, itâs uncomfortable to have a 360 camera view on you with cam/audio capabilities. This house should be rented by families or couples only in my opinion.
Remarkably clean, quite, charming, gorgeous property. Surprised with a snowstorm, but quite impressed to see a snowplow early afternoon to clear the driveway. Definitely would stay here again.
Amazing!! This three bedroom had the most comfortable mattresses, the kitchen was fully stocked with an adorable coffee bar and any appliance you would ever need and the lot where the cabin was situated was beautiful. The stream running next to the house and the climbable tree dappled hill on the other side afforded a sense of being in your own private, peaceful world. I highly recommend staying here! The owners were great to work with and very responsive. And it was an easy drive to the ski resorts nearby.
We traveled up for a week of skiing and could not have been happier with the house. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The cleanliness and extra touches were exceptional. We really appreciated the thought that went into this property. There is no question that every room was well prepared with attention to detail. The towel warmer in the bathroom was well used by our family,
Thank you Josh for the ease of checking in and out!
This well-appointed lovely cabin was a great place to unwind. Sitting on the front and back porches while the rain was falling was wonderful. The location was perfect ⊠stream-side with a fantastic fire pit that is surrounded by mature trees. Our dogs were able to get in some good runs in the large open backyard. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, appliances, etc. Appliances are new and clean! The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were well-appointed as well. We will definitely return if possible.
