One of our best Vrbo experiences

This was definitely one of our best Vrbo experiences! Rancy was a thoughtful host who went the extra miles to make sure that we felt comfortable. The house was clean, well-taken care of, spacious, and even more beautiful in person. Every basics that we needed were provided. It truly felt like home for the weekend. We went for a skiing trip and Camelback was only 20 minutes away, along with plenty of options for dining, entertainment, and groceries. We couldn't have asked for a better long weekend and would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

Nice place to stay

This is a good place to stay If your looking for somewhere to stay with some peace and quiet. If your looking to stay and watch TV and be on wifi it may not be the place for you. The host was very nice and had good communication.

Spontaneous Birthday Getaway

We booked this property on the spur of the moment. We have used VRBO since it came to be & this is one of the nicest homes we’ve stayed in. There wasn’t 1 thing that compromised our stay. The owner was in contact, to make sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated her. The beds were comfy, the kitchen & bathrooms well stocked. Plenty of games & books for my granddaughter. The deck, yard & firepit were perfect for our group. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to parks for hiking, swimming, grocery stores, etc. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Lovely Stay

We did a NYE stay here and it was great! House was clean and it is located only 20 mins from Camelback mountain. Rancy was very responsive and answered our questions immediately. Two couples and it was the perfect house for the ski trip getaway. Thank you, Rancy! Would stay again!

Weekend Getaway

Together with wife, son & daughter-in-law, I enjoyed a very pleasant, post-holiday weekend at Rancy’s Ranch. I hesitate rating at 5 Star - this is not a resort. This ranch style home is cozy, private and comfortable. For a few close friends or family to gather, and get away, I have no hesitation passing along my recommendation. The property manager (think owner) is kind, accommodating and responsive. Thank you Rancy! BT 😊

Nice property with good location and amenities

This is nice property with enough space for upto 8 people. Has nice backyard and large deck to enjoy mornings and evenings. Also, has a sunroom in case the weather is not agreeable for outside seating but you still want to enjoy nature. Rancy was good host and easily reachable via text and call. She promptly replied to our queries.

Quiet, clean house but old with unreliable connection if you need to work remotely

The property was clean (except for the outdoor grill that needs a thorough clean before use) and in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, but our trip was less than perfect due to a number of factors: - Biggest issue is the internet connection. We planned on working remotely for a couple of days during our stay and Rancy indicated to us that there is WiFi connection at the property. When we arrived it worked fine for a couple of hours and then the connection was lost. Rancy wasn’t very helpful at first, insisted that she believes it was working (since her camera signal still worked), and just refused to help us further, saying that we just had to wait and it would “magically” come back. We kept pushing and finally she sent someone to the property to give us access to the router that needed to be reset. We wasted hours and lots of stress to resolve the internet issues, partly due to her resistance to have the router being reset, which was exactly what we suggested and what fixed the issues. From that time on, everyday the internet was down multiple times and needed to be reset a couple of times. Beware if you need reliable internet during your stay - Secondly, perhaps we might not have had the right expectation and others might enjoy the old charm, but the property was very old with tiny bathrooms and super low ceiling making it feel very cramped and air circulation wasn’t great. The doors and windows are small and we didn’t particularly enjoy the mattresses. It was by far the oldest property I have ever been in my life and was a bit unexpected. If you are expecting a reasonably renovated property, this is probably not the one. - While the listing and stellar reviews seem to indicate that the properties is well stocked, beware to bring your own dishwasher tablets as the host only supplies 2 tablets during our 4 day stay. Honestly this leaves a bad taste in our mouth - we have no problem bringing our own and would rather be given a heads up to do so (and I did ask Rancy prior to the trip if we needed to bring any household supply that she thinks was not there). Hopefully this gives anyone considering this property a more informed view to make a decision as we were underwhelmed after reading the stellar reviews.

Fantastic and beautiful

I booked this property to spend my spouse birthday week end. This property is beautiful, neat and clean. Home looks exactly same like in the pictures. All major attractions are in drivable distance. I would like to give a special mention to the property owner Rancy. She will respond to the texts for any questions you have and will follow up from check in to check out. I will visit this property again and recommend to others.

Breath of fresh air!

Our vacation at this beautiful home was delightful from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. It’s a very clean and welcoming house. The bedrooms are pretty spacious and cozy. The carpeted floors in the bedrooms are extremely soft and plush. The living room area was very accommodating making it easy to sit and relax. The kitchen was pretty spacious and well equipped including a dishwasher and oven. The mud room is also pretty big with a washing machine and dryer that worked great. It also leads to the sun room where we spent our late nights enjoying the cool night away from the little ones. The backyard was my favorite. It was well kept and pretty big allowing for lots of outdoor play. The view of the big tall trees, nice cut grass, fresh and clean air was much appreciated. There’s a big fire pit and wood logs that come with the home making it great for s’mores and sitting around it when it gets cool at night. The owner was always available when we had questions, although it was rare since everything was accesible. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it. It feels like an actual home away from home specially when your home is an NYC (tiny) apartment lol.

Great stay!

The house was clean and neat and we loved the deck. In the early morning we saw turkeys and one evening we saw a bear! I really appreciated that the linens were provided, the beds were made, and the host supplied toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. Not all rentals do that, even before Covid. There were basic kitchen supplies provided, but missing baking dishes (muffin pan, etc.) for breakfast and enough sharp knives. Also, the wine bottle cork screw was broken. I mentioned these things to the host and she says she has already included the items for the next guest. It was a fabulous trip. Great location- we had a fun time at Tobyhanna State Park, just 10 minutes away. Would definitely return and rent again.

We enjoyed our stay at Rancy’s Ranch home. It was extremely clean which was most important to us especially during this time. Spacious and accommodating we all had our space when we needed it. The house was well stocked with everything that we needed. Would absolutely recommend Rancy’s home.

Marvelous

I recently stayed in this lovely and peaceful home with my husband and my son's family. The entire stay was sheer perfection from the check in to check out. The home itself is beyond clean , which is very important during these times.. We enjoyed the spacious backyard with a deck and a grill. The owner was always available to answer any questions and graciously mailed some items to my home that I had left behind. Highly recommend!!!

A slice of peace!

My husband, 4-year old daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our seven-day stay at this beautiful, well-kept, peaceful home. The home was so clean and organized, and the owner was easy to reach at all times. Our mornings and evenings were mainly spent on the deck in the backyard, taking in the cool breeze and listening to the sounds of nature. When we left the property, we visited the state lake/beach and scored some delicious fruit from the nearby farmer's market - all suggestions from the gracious host. It wasn't long before we recommended this property to our friends and family. We expect to book another visit before the end of the year! Thank you, Rancy!

We made great memories here. We love the nature and the many outdoor activities that come with it. We bike and kayak at the nearby scenic Tobyhanna State Park frequently. We enjoy the good company of family and friends and often entertain, the many backyard cookouts, outdoor plays and the cozy hangouts around the fireplace...

This home is in the heart of the scenic Pocono Mountains, Tobyhanna, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It’s easily accessible by car, only a few miles north off Exit 298, The Crossings Premium Outlets, on I-80W, north of the Delaware Water Gap National Park. It’s less than a two hour car drive from New York City.

We find it tranquil and serene and like it neat in this development with no looped utility poles on display above ground.

We are fortunate to be able to share our home and offer a wonderful accommodation option for your weekend getaway or vacation retreat in the beautiful Mount Pocono.
