Enjoyed my visit at the lake house. It was nice and quaint. The neighbors were welcoming. Right in the middle of great restaurants and stores. Do not hesitate to book this listing you will not regret it!

Nice House

Ein sehr schönes kleines Haus. Hatte alle was man brauchte. Schön verteilt auf 2 Etagen. Lediglich die Lage zwischen 2 Reihen on ReihenhĂ€usern und einem ziemlichen schmuddeligem Haus gegenĂŒber. Leider konnte man nicht ins Wasser gehen (angrenzender Flussarm vom Meer), da Privatbesitz. Aber alles im allem sehr gut.

House was perfect for our ladies trip to Norfolk. Lots of room downstairs in the kitchen/living room area, bright and happy vibe and the beds were very comfy. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing family weekend

The host was great with communication. The house was comfortable and clean. We were in the area for a wedding at the bay club so it was nice to be close by. The area was very walkable. We walked to a farmers market on Saturday morning and to a restaurant for brunch. The neighborhood is eclectic and honestly at first glance I was concerned about safety, but we never had any problems and the people we encountered on our walks were friendly.

Very nice and clean, and the checkout process was super clear. Used it for a wedding 'getting ready', and there was plenty of space for the hair and makeup people, who said it was great for lighting and space!

Amazing!!

There truly are not enough stars to rate how wonderful this place is! It is immaculate and well stocked with anything you could ever need and more. Betty was an absolute pleasure to work with, and went overboard to make our stay a wonderful experience. She even put a Christmas tree up, which our three-year-old granddaughter was enthralled with! We will definitely be staying here whenever we are in town! Truly, a blessing to have found this beautiful place!

My high school friends and I like to get away and relax so that we can catch up and have a little break from the kiddos. This was a great spot where we could enjoy the bay and the beach. We didn’t have a chance to enjoy the firepit but wish we could have! Definitely recommend for a visit!

Only a short walk to the beach!

My friends and I stayed here for a short weekend get-away. It was a comfortable place with plenty of space for all of us. I had a question about the listing prior to booking and the property manager got back to me very quickly. The beach is only a short walk away (and there were dolphins)!

We had a great short stay. Place was convenient around Norfolk and beach. It was a little time consuming going to williamsburg a couple of times through tunnel. We had a nice stay overall. Beds were comfy. Hostess very accommodating. Would stay again.

Lovely home in great location

Staying at Betty’s home at was a highlight of our trip to Norfolk/Virginia Beach. The home is well kept and nicely laid out. It has everything you need and is within walking distance to the beach. We hope to stay there again in the future!

Such a lovely home!

My family and I really enjoyed our spring break stay at this home! Betty is a great communicator which started way before our arrival! She provided us with everything we needed
she literally thought of everything and I appreciate that. At one point, I was trying to open a pack of bacon and I thought to myself “wonder if there’s scissors” and low & behold
there were! Lol! It’s the little things that excite me! In addition, the house is spotless and we felt pretty comfortable there. I’ll echo what some of the other reviewers have said in terms of the lovely neighbors who spontaneously rev up their car engines
a lot!
obviously that’s not the Betty’s fault but definitely something to be mindful of! Otherwise it was a great stay and I would definitely stay again!

Perfect weekend!

I'm a Norfolk and Ocean View native and had the best time coming back home with my family for a short weekend. Betty's house is so comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the backyard fire-pit very much. We had 6 guests total but it never once felt crowded – perfect! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Nice place in driving distance to a lot of fun

We had a great stay in this beautiful Norfolk house. The house is setup very well and has a lot of very thoughtful items throughout the house go help with your stay. (Fans in each closet, good soap/shampoo, air mattress) The vents for the a/c are a bit unusual (small holes instead of vents) and this creates a bit of a louder than normal sound as the air passes through it. The area and neighborhood are mostly ok though you drive through a few concerning/run down areas on your way in. We had no issues and it was quiet at night. It is however located within driving distance to a ton of attractions in the area. Overall we had a great experience and great communication with the owner. The house is in excellent shape and is very pleasant to stay in.
