A gorgeous stay that exceeded expectations!

This was a beautiful lakeside cottage with the most amazing views. Even more beautiful in person. The home was really comfortable and had everything you need for an incredible stay. It was the perfect place to spend the weekend with my loved ones and I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Wonderful experience!

We had an amazing family vacation at Woodhaven. The cottage is beautifully appointed and spotless. Location on Bala Bay is great for swimming, boating and easy access to town. John and Stephanie are great hosts and very responsive.

Fabulous Property

We had a wonderful time at Woodhaven. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with necessities. There were several places to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Lake Muskoka. The location was excellent - only a couple of minutes in to Bala with everything you’d need available there. Stephanie and John were incredibly responsive and excellent hosts.

The perfect lakeside Muskoka cottage!

My family had a great time staying at Stephanie's cottage in Bala. The location was perfect and the cottage itself was very clean, beautifully furnished and decorated and the kitchen was perfect with 2 full size fridges! Also the hottub and hammocks by the lake and the oversized firepit all gave us the sense that we were at a resort but with all of the amenities and comforts of home. It was a great place to enjoy the last days of summer, thank you Stephanie and Peter! Ashli

Great Muskoka property

Very well located near Bala. Cottage was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Very private setting. Well stocked with everything you would need. Great view across Bala Bay with very little boat traffic near the cottage. Wonderful sitting area beside the water with a cover for shade or full sun if you like. Covered boat slip. Hot tub very clean and accessible. Owners are very responsive. 5 star rating. Would definitely go back.

Celebrating our engagement at this beautiful cottage!

I was on the hunt for a beautiful cottage to rent with my fiancée after our proposal within the city. I had selected Stephanie and John's cottage as the perfect spot to celebrate! Here are a few points that made it the perfect cottage: 1) It was in Muskoka Cottage Country - getting from the city to the cottage wasn't a rather long drive but an enjoyable getaway 2) It had a hot tub! Reminiscing about our trip in Iceland made us realize we needed a hot tub during the cooler months. 3) Lake views - What really made this cottage stand out is that it's by the lake, it has the sun room that you can enjoy any special moment (the cottage had the Christmas tree too) 4) A firepit - We made s'mores, yummm. 5) The kitchen was fully stocked - If you're a foodie and love to cook instead of getting outside food, this is the perfect cottage as kitchen was fully prepped for a professional chef I would love to come back and visit this cottage again during the summer time or even the winter. Highly recommend it for couples and families for a 5-star experience. The photos don’t do enough justice to how beautiful this cottage really is.

This is a beautiful cottage on Lake Muskoka…perfect for a family. Walkable into Bala, where you will find a selection of shops and restaurants. We loved The Pearl and Jack & Stella in particular. The kitchen is extremely well stocked for cooking and the barbecue is easy to use.Great bedding and bath products. Great swimming and fantastic views from the deck! We will be back next year!

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. The location is perfect, a quiet waterfront but also just steps away from Bala.The entire place was very clean and welcoming, as a bonus the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook, bake or make whatever you please. Steph was very communicative and quick to respond too. Cannot recommend enough!

Perfection!

After over two years of no vacation, my wife and I needed a peaceful getaway from the wilds of Washington, DC! Choosing this gorgeous property was one of the best travel decisions we ever made. The hosts were communicative, friendly, and very kind. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a charming welcome basket and Steph’s Dad who explained everything in-depth. We especially loved the amazing view, hot tub (which we used daily), and the well-stocked kitchen (including a pizza slicer and even birthday cake candles)! Anything you could possibly want or need for a pleasant stay is included! This cottage is a definite TEN +. Very LGBTQ+ friendly. Enjoy!

This cottage is exactly as depicted in the photos. My family and I had a wonderful stay. Bala Bay is the perfect lake for swimming, jet skiing, etc. Owners are very responsive to any questions. A++

Excellent place just to chill, and spend time with Family.

Beautiful place!! Breathtaking view! Cottage was very clean, Beds were extremely comfortable, Hot tub a must! Gazebo on the deck was a great place to chill as well. The sun room was our go to room just to relax and enjoy the beautiful view. Had everything you would need for a enjoyable stay. Stephanie and John payed attention to every detail to make our stay very enjoyable. Would stay again. :)

wonderful cottage experience!

My family had an amazing 10 days at this beautiful cottage! The inside is so clean and well maintained and the view from the living room is spectacular! the deck area is so spacious with easy access to the water. we loved that it has a hot tub for rainy/cooler days. absolutely perfect! would definitely stay again! also the hosts are very kind!

Great week away with the family. Cottage is all one level inside. Great for our little guy to walk around. View is absolutely unreal.

Girls Trip

Loved the location of the cottage the lake view from the living room was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality pots and dishes. The bed linens and towels were of a high quality we felt like we were staying at a high end hotel. Thank you Stephanie we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage for a family reunion

The owner is lovely. The facilities were well appointed. Convenient to Bala, and Hardy Provincial Park for hiking.
