Fun

We had an amazing stay in Wollombi. Couldn't have asked for better. Great property. Everything we could ask for at hand. Comfortable rooms. We had a blast with our little grandson watching ducks and cows. Playing in the fields and swinging in the hammock. Host was just brilliant.

Pretty Wollombi house

A comfortable quirkily-decorated house good for friends with three separate double rooms with lovely views and own bathrooms.. beautiful and quiet location. Spa not working but gorgeous sitting around fire pit. Only complaint was a lot of rules but maybe owners have had some bad experiences.

We are also pleased that you received the benefit of the brand-new renovations and use of the additional bathroom that were not part of the listing at the time of your booking. Regarding the spa, we would like to clarify that it is not listed as an amenity in our standard offering. While available for hire separately, it was not rented during your stay due to inclement weather. Our house rules are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and respect of all our guests, as well as the preservation of the property. They are also designed to protect guests' damage deposits from unnecessary claims. For example, guests may not know that if they drive on our lawn, they will potentially burst our sewer pipes under the ground. We aim to be transparent about these rules, and we encourage all potential guests to familiarize themselves with them before booking. They reflect standard practice. Luckily, the vast majority of our guests are respectful and follow the rules without issue. We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Wollombi wonderland

Another wonderfull winter week in this idyllic Wollombi valley! Arrived to find the slow combustion fire lit and gentle music playing making the cottage cosy and warm on a cold, windy day. Over the week we enjoyed sitting on the front verandah in the sun shine with visits from the wallabies, lyrebirds and Baz the butcher bird. Love waking up during the night to look at the stars and moon from the attic bed! As usual we didn't want to leave so we will be booking again next winter to do it all again!

Country living at its best!

A peaceful and relaxing stay in the bush. The house is very well kept and comes well stocked with the little things you sometimes forget. The property is secluded but not far from the centre of town or the Wollombi wine trail, which made it really convenient for us when we wanted to venture out and explore. And the spa! So relaxing and perfect for watching the world go by. Our favourite thing to do was to watch the wildlife! Wombats, kangaroos and birds were just some of the beautiful creatures we got to share our weekend with. Antonina was a great host! She is very accommodating and easy to communicate with :) Overall we had an amazing experience and couldn't fault a single thing! It was the perfect weekend.

Hidden gem

This is a lovely property that is secluded and private, yet close to town. There were great amenities and the house was clean and tidy. A lovely spot for a winter getaway. Antonina was a wonderful host, going above and beyond in helping us with some car troubles we had while staying. We will certainly be back.

Bushland escape

We enjoyed the total seclusion of this Wollombi farmhouse which slowly reveal itself as you drive along the driveway past the cows and alpacas. While enjoying the spa, slow combustion fireplace or reading on the verandah the wallabies come out to graze on the lush grass in the paddocks, some with joey's in their pouches. The loft bedroom is amazing, being able to watch the starry nights from bed and then been woken by the lyre birds calls while they fossick around the back yard I wish we'd stayed longer...

Wedding weekend

The ppl Roberts is in alovely little Valley away from the bustle of wollombi but easy walking distance. Only negative was we all had formal wear for the wedding but their is no wardrobe space. Even a rack would be good. Great place for relaxed weekend .

Hi Rick Thank you for your review, it was lovely to host you and your guests and I am glad you had a relaxing weekend. I apologise if you were inconvenienced. We do not have all of the ammenites of a hotel but try to accomodate our guests comfortably. While there are no wardrobes to utilise for hanging garments, the attic bedroom does indeed have a sizeable hanging rack and every other bedroom is fitted with several hooks for hanging clothes with coat and clip hangers provided. We attract many wedding parties at our accomodation and while we have not received this feedback before, we appreciate you sharing it with us. It is regrettable that we were not infomed as we could have provided you with a solution.

Lovely farm cottage

We had a wonderful weekend at Antonina’s cottage. The place is comfortable and spacious with a lovely wood burning stove which made it very warm and cozy in winter. The location is spectacular, surrounded by trees and fields and very private. It’s a short drive to Wollombi to get supplies - although it’s a dirt road so would be wary with a very small car. Antonina was very responsive and helpful and was very accommodating of our requests to get set up for our toddler. I would happily stay again!

Great spot for a long weekend

Group of 4 had an awesome long weekend wine tasting and relaxing at this amazing property. Drinks outside by the firepit were a definite highlight. Great communication with the host and everything you can think of provided at the house. Would certainly stay there again

Fabulous Family Weekend

Lazy Acres is the perfect description of this wonderful property. We had a fabulous family weekend, the house was so comfortable, beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we needed. There was plenty of room for our party of 7 adults. The surrounding bushland was beautiful - even in the rain. We had visits from kangaroos, a wombat and a variety of birds - amazing! The property owner was easy to communicate with and super helpful - thanks so much Antonina!

Birthday getaway!

I highly recommend this property, whether you're a family, couple or group of friends. I loved how private it was and how beautiful the surroundings were. The property itself was rustic and had a lot of character. A lot of thought has clearly gone in to making it the perfect getaway home and all those touches were much appreciated. It was very peaceful yet not too far from the shops and the wineries and we were even met by a couple of kangaroos when we arrived! Antonina, the property owner has been really helpful. I made a few adjustments to the booking but she was very flexible, helpful and accommodating the whole way through. Thanks Antonina for accommodating my friends and I. It's a birthday i'll never forget! :)

Fantastic place, everything was fabulously maintained and your new en-suite upstairs is beautiful. The spa was very relaxing and we enjoyed just getting away and just chilling out and doing nothing at all. Had the best couple of days and we will definitely be back again. Many thanks again

Wonderful stay

We just had the most wonderful stay at lazy acres finally after rescheduling due to fires and covid we made it and it was well worth the wait! Antonia was an amazing host communicating and adapting to our changing booking and even then giving us a night for free! Total seclusion was perfect and allowed us to relax and take in the scenery, watching Roos from the hot tub was awesome. Such a wonderfully peaceful location. House was very clean and welcoming with everything and more that you need to enjoy your stay. Thank you was just perfect!

100% Perfection

This is the 2nd time my partner & I have stayed at Lazy Acres. The home is extremely well appointed and offers total seclusion and 100% peace & tranquility. Antonina is a gem of a person and we had no problem getting in touch. Her friendly text messages were well received and it was really nice to hear from her. Antonina, you have done a great job with Lazy Acres and we would love to stay again. A few days away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney really does help recharge the batteries. Martin & Jazz.

Beautiful Wollombi Escape

An amazing and peaceful home. Secluded enough to get away, but still near to town. Antonina maintains an exceptionally clean and well organised cabin. Well equipped with everything you need. Our host was thoughtful and quick to respond to any enquiries. Comfortable and charming with a beautiful vista and a multitude of bird sounds and wildlife. The house was uniquely decorated with lots of character. All modcons provided: wood burning combustion fireplace with wood provided...this kept the house warm for the entire stay, gas stove in kitchen. I felt very welcome and would love to return as soon as possible!

Great property, very relaxing stay

Perfect place to getaway. Set on a very private acreage the farmhouse has everything you require for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. Antonina’s attention to detail in how the house is presented and thoughtfulness in the provisions provided ensure you feel comfortable and at home. Finally the hot tub is amazing set on a lower deck allowing you to soak for hours In total privacy other than getting the occasional look from the kangaroos.

Escaping for New Years Eve

Fantastic property to just sit back and relax which is just what we were after. Private, secluded and quiet. Lovely house, very well equipped kitchen and a beautiful loft bedroom. The spa pool was very relaxing and refreshing. Antonina was easy to communicate with, open and honest with any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely be looking to return in the future, hopefully once the rains return and valley is back to its verdant best.
