Itâs very relaxing atmosphere connecting to nature with excellent views of mountains. The treetop cottage gives you warm and cozy feeling just like home away from home and close to most of attractions in marysville and its town. We enjoyed our stay.
Tree Top could be a cute and compact country cottage but lack of certain amenities is a put off. The toilet and shower downstairs, is minuscule, and the bizzarre window looking into the toilet/ spa bathroom in the upstairs bedroomâŠ.provides no privacy. A screen would be good, so would some hooks to hang towels. For cleanliness it is 2/10. Bedside tables were dusty, carpet on the stairs were stained, probably due to the unsealed driveway. The driveway is diabolical, especially at night and some lights would be welcome at the entrance to the driveway from the road. The seating in the lounge room, would give one a crick in the neck if one is inclined to watch TV.There is NO internet available.
Very cute, clean and comfortable and in a gorgeous spot. Suggest arriving on daylight as pebble driveway and carport tricky. DVDs and no dvd player an amusing touch. Do not use spa jets as water sprays everywhere. Only four dining room seats so I guess byo if thereâs a fifth guest.
Unfortunately, cosy was a euphemism for closet sized. The upstairs bathroom was large but useless with only a spa bath and no shower, the downstairs shower barely fit a small adult. More disappointing was that the house was not clean, the BBQ was dirty and there were no amenities in the kitchen, not even dishwashing liquid. No surprise then that the batteries were dead in the TV remote. The cooling upstairs was inadequate, not suitable for a summer stay. Sadly, a very disappointing stay.
Although was good location and nice view, we did not realise how small the amenities would be. Very small and poorly equipped kitchen, make sure to bring all your cooking needs, ie oil, cling wrap, foil. The bbq is a tiny George Forman, not really good enough for grilling the delicious sausages from town grocer. The shower was so small it felt like it was inside a closet/wardrobe and the taps the wrong directions. It would have also been helpful if it had had a washing machine, when there was clearly room one as we were there to enjoy the beautiful mountain range of Lake Mountain and Buxton.
Great place to stay.
12-15min walk to town.
Comfortable beds and amazing master bedroom.
Shower / bathroom is quite small but it does have a large spa in the master.
A little maintenance required on loose tap fittings otherwise very tidy and comfortable.
We had a lovely stay here, but however the driveway needs sealing, we were locked in by flyscreen, bur rescued quickly by the realestate. We also didnât understand why there is a large glassless window between the bedroom and ensuite enabling you to see people on the toilet!
Great location within walking distance to town in a quite neighbourhood.
Not big enough for a family but suitable for a couple.
Unfortunately both toilets leaked, the driveway is steep gravel which needs to be mentioned so people are aware of it!
Bathrooms are a joke (tiny downstairs bathroom which had the only shower). Lots of little things that need fixing that wouldnât require alot of money but would make peoples stay more enjoyable.
just enough for our family of four. A short walk to town centre. It is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately thereâs no washing machine, understandably thereâs no room for it - but if staying for a longer period with young children having access to a washing machine will be handy.
The small house looks superficially very attractive, but it has some preculiar anachronisms for a new cottage - namely, a giant fake Victoriana grate/gas fire in the living room, and an equally giant and not very successful wood-framed and chain-pull toilet cistern, that overwhelms the miniscule downstairs bathroom. But the tale-home message was the bonkers upstairs bathroom - a big space with a huge spa (no shower, that was squeezed very tightly into the tiny downstairs bathroom) and a giant window-like space above the spa between the bedroom and bathroom. So anyone in the bedroom has unlimited access to whatever someone was doing on the toilet. Bathroom door - but wide open space next to it. The bizarre design of the hopeless bathrooms more than detracted from the otherwise pleasant and well-eqipped cottage and reasonable view.
Good location. House clean and tidy. Needs quite a few minor repairs. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Great verandah to breakfast on, and gaze at the mountains. Downstairs Bathroom (only one with shower) ridiculously small, with very limited space for anything. Would be a challenge for more than 2 guests.
This house was a very good base for my family (2 adults and 2 kids) whilst staying in Marysville. It is clean, comfortable and pretty- an easy to walk to the shops and cafes.
Nice quiet place to stay. Beautiful king parrots payed us a visit. Had a small issue with a bathroom that was fixed very quickly by the property manager so would definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
This is a nice cosy house in a lovely location. House is smaller than it looks in the photo, but is a fine size. It was quiet and peaceful, and a lovely setting. Some of the set up could be improved - only 1 tea-towel for 3 days for 5 people is not enough, the towels were very small, the kitchen needs a bigger saucepan and perhaps some serving bowls etc, an introduction and welcome to the house and area would be good. It was described as having a cosy gas fire, but we did not see one. Overall though, it is a good house, although perhaps a little overpriced, given the above. Thank you for letting us stay in the lovely house.
