The Bach was comfortable and had everything you need. I also want to add that it was very well curated which added to the overall enjoyment. It was great to be able to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the ocean and mountain views.
Th house was delightful, the view of the ocean was stunning. House was clean and had all the basic supplies that we needed close to hand (cleaning supplies under the kitchen sink, washer and dryer were a great benefit for a stay halfway through our NZ vacation)
I very much wish we had stayed for 2 or 3 nights to enjoy the area instead of having just one night here.
Weâll be back! Stunning views, super well equipped kitchen (knives even sharp enough to cut tomatoes!), great rooms with lovely comfortable beds, excellent bbq, comfortable living room and just a great all round feel to this place. It was recommended to us and we werenât disappointed. And Tania really helped us out finding a second place for some extra people. Next time we will book the main house and the studio directly next door.
Loved the concrete floor, open plan living/dining/kitchen. Works really well having bedrooms off main, was great for our family two adults two teens. Would work equally well for up to three couples. Bathroom rated well with us - spacious room and claw bath was absolutely fantastic. Great to have our two pet dogs - large decked enclosure but not secure on grass as no driveway gate. This property is elevated, private, and has the very best view and walks and tracks accessible from the property. Love to come back again and book the adjacent Bach for an extra couple.
Perfect place to catch up with friends. Great views, indoor outdoor spots to sit and chat. Relaxing environment, the house was comfy with a chilled vibe.
The house is comfy and warm with a beauty of a deck overlooking the shoreline of Kaikoura. Very comfortable for 3 of us, well laid out and felt very homey every time we returned from o e of the many adventures in the area. Quiet and restful while still close to town. We loved it!
Weekend of our 47th wedding anniversary. The Bach was as described in words and pictures - the view is absolutely superb and the facilities leave nothing to be desired. Our Blue Heeler was quite at home and loved the Pa next door. The host deserves top marks for communication, description and most importantly an outstanding cottage. Thank you Tania
A wonderful cottage, which lived up to our expectations (based on the many positive reviews here). Great views, quiet and well fitted out. We appreciated being able to bring our dogs and we enjoyed walking into town and exploring Kaikoura. We'll be back soon.
Not the best property we have stayed in for the price. Advertises as quiet but tyre marks up the road outside and we eperienced drag racing up the road. A LOT of noise from properties below the house. Dishwasher available but no dishwasher tablets, No wardrobes just a coat rack with two coathangers in each room. Enjoyed our stay fo the incerdible views but wont be back again sadly
This property was wonderful - we loved our stay & will be back
The views are amazing & itâs very peaceful
The property had everything you needed & contact with the owner was very easy
This was a fantastic place to stay rain or shine. Awesome retro decor feel. Great views northward over town and the coast. You could spot whales from the deck! Easy to get in and out of town, but on the ridge above town so nice and quiet for a sound nights sleep!
What a wonderful treat staying here. The views are gorgeous, the surroundings are peaceful, the bach is so comfortable and relaxing, and everyone in town was so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!
Looking for somewhere fabulous to stay in Kaikoura with your dog
This fabulous three bedroom cottage surpassed our expectations. We were delighted. It was clean, comfortable and a really nice place to stay and relax. The weather was very wet and miserable whilst we were in Kaikoura, but we were cosy and comfortable. Even better, we could take our wee dog. The view is gorgeous. We really appreciated the vases of fresh flowers which made us feel very welcome. I cannot recommend enough.
3 couples from different cities In NZ get together in different places twice a year, after 20 odd trips this would rate as one of the best places we have stayed , great views and lovely feeling
I came to Kaikoura when I was eighteen years old as I have many extended family members in Kaikoura and purchased this property seven years later. I am married to a wonderful man and we have three fantastic boys who enjoy hunting and fishing and most outdoor pursuits. The apartment and the cottage has become a fun and fulfilling project that we have put a lot of time and energy into making it the perfect holiday place. We love to hear our guests tell us how much they enjoyed their stay, and wish they could stay longer. We hope you will come to our quaint town in this amazing part of this beautiful country.
A Room With A View is special for many reasons but top of the list is it's amazing view and it's close proximity to the Nga Niho pa site. You can walk to the beach down a gazetted track from the Nga Niho pa site and be there in ten minutes. Kaikoura's rugged coastline is beautiful even in rugged weather.
