We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy and comfortable cabin! Owner was very easy to communicate with. Cabin had everything we needed. Beautiful balcony! We would go back!
We loved our stay. I took my kids to ski at Snow Valley and we stayed here. The home is lovely, comfortable, and host Nalani was incredibly kind and communicative. The location is fantastic, in a nice residential neighborhood just off the main road and close to Snow Valley resort for skiing. We would love to come back again!
We loved our visit Running Springs! The cabin was cozy and comfortable with everything that we needed. The couch was super comfy and the best place to relax next to the fireplace (which was really easy to operate.) Our kids had so much fun sleeping in the bunk beds and we were very comfortable up in the primary suite. When we arrived we had a small issue with the heat and the owners were super responsive and got it solved for us quickly. The location is great - peaceful but still easily driveable to all the fun stuff in Running Springs and Lake Arrowhead. We loved it all!
My friend and I get a cabin for 4th of July to escape the fireworks with our dogs. This was a pleasant cabin to stay in. Nice area to walk our dogs, bbq with large deck thatâs also perfect for coffee in the mornings amongst the trees. The kitchen is amazing to cook meals and thereâs plenty of space. Nalani is easy friendly, considerate, and easy to communicate. She also responds quickly to questions/concerns. I would highly recommend and stay here again.
Weâve stayed here before and will stay again. Great location! Host are very responsive and quick with any actions needed. We had a water leak and they were up and fixed it quickly.
Fantastic mountain getaway - fully stocked, owner was very responsive and welcoming. Thank you!
Rented for 4 days, 3 nights during late winter. Had FANTASTIC snow - we were cozy and comfortable the entire stay. Our 8 and 6 year old kids loved the sleds for snow play behind the cabin, fireplace was great and we had everything we needed. Thank you Nalani!
We usually have a hard time sleeping the first night anywhere but not here the beds were comfortable everyone sleep great. Kitchen was stocked with every kind of cooking utensils you could need. We hiked, shopped and visited family. Wonderful experience we will be back!
The property seemed like it is in middle of renovation or upgrade as there were tools & stuff in kitchen drawers and rooms had open electrical outlets. Other than the kitchen and the master bedroom everything other area needed lot of upgrade/work.
This house was the perfect quick getaway. Last minute decided to book a place for my birthday. Super easy, the host was so nice and accommodating. With great info and suggestions. The cabin was clean with a beautiful view. Thanks again.
This property delivers everything it promises - and more. We had a warm and wonderful stay, made possible by a very responsive owner, a super clean place, and a stunning view. Our two children had a ball playing in snow and doing virtual school with a gorgeous setting to look at, while we warmed ourselves by a fireplace and enjoyed family cooking in a stunning kitchen. This is the best value and a wonderful location to relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy. THANK YOU for delivering everything promised and then some! We will definitely stay again.
The upstairs loft was beautiful, spacious and offered nice views. Kid's room with bunk bed was a hit with the little ones and could easily fit up to 4 younger children. We loved the main living area with the huge windows, lovely fireplace, and amazing kitchen. Updated appliances, tons of cabinet space (I like to bring all my own food from home), plenty of counter space. The bar was great for entertaining. I think I spent most of my time in the kitchen, happily! Close to snow valley and town for any essentials you forgot. Could not have picked a better place for a snow trip! Very happy with everything!
We stayed here to spend some family time in the snow. The home has undergone some renovation, with some nice upgrades. However, the overall cleanliness of the home was not up to our standard. We may have a high standard of cleanliness than most, and are highly sensitive to smoke and pet dander. It is a great location on a quiet cul-de-sac. Pay attention to the "pet friendly" portion of the listing as the home smelled of dog and smoke. The furniture was dingy and worn. Overall it wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't on par in terms of cleanliness with other VRBO properties that we've stayed in.
We rented this home over Thanksgiving (Wed-Sun). The cabin location and overall interior upgrades look great. It was quiet and being at the end of the cul de sac gave our grandkids room to play out front. The hiking trail the hosts provided directions to was a very nice trail, although if you have little kids, it's better to drive to the trailhead.
The main problem with our experience was with the TV situation. When we arrived and turned on the TV on the main floor, we discovered it had clearly been hit with something. There were several black lines running across the whole top third of the screen and down the right quarter of the screen with an "impact point" where the lines came together. It was technically watchable in that it turned on and showed a picture, but did make it very difficult as much of the screen you couldn't see through the lines and couldn't see anything through the impact point. After contacting the owners, they told us they were aware of it and waiting for the insurance claim money before replacing it. We also asked about a missing remote for the only other TV in the house (master bedroom) and were told just to use the remote from the main TV as they're the same. We're pretty easy going people so although it wasn't ideal, we made do.
By Saturday morning, the main floor TV had stopped working altogether. The screen was all black. We contacted the hosts to let them know and never received a reply or return phone call. The only working TV was in the upstairs bedroom with no seating other than the bed.
We understand things happen, especially with rentals. However a few simple things could have made this into a much more positive review. At the very least, it would have been nice to get a heads up from the owners about the broken TV since they knew about it well before we arrived. (they said it wasn't the renters before us that broke it) It would have also saved us 30 minutes of searching if they would have told us one of the remotes was missing. Ideally, it would have been nice to get a temporary replacement TV knowing Thanksgiving is typically a holiday where people get together and watch TV, whether football, parades, movies, etc. You can get a TV for $225 at Walmart to use until the insurance money arrives. Since the TV stopped working altogether, it would have been nice if they offered a small refund, but at the very least should have returned our phone call about it. That was pretty crappy.
I am a born and raised Californian. Heritage is Hawaiian / Scandinavian...what a combination! I am retired now, but, worked with designers for several years. My husband is a GC, so, we have put alot of energy into the cabin redesign. I also love to cook, so, wanted to make sure that our guests were able to enjoy our open kitchen.
Running Springs is a quiet, quaint little town minutes from skiing, hiking, boating, fishing and snow play. It is a short drive up the hill and sits approximately at 7000 ft., so, we get plenty of snow. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac, so, not alot of traffic and kids are in a safe area to play. The yard is large and deck is huge, so, it is great for a furry friend!
My husband and I put much thought into the redesign of our cabin. We wanted guests to feel at home in a lodge type setting. We kept the knotty pine paneling and natural stone fireplace, and added stacked stone on walls and backsplash to give it a rustic feel. Large kitchen is for a chef and wall of windows out to deck makes the Great room even larger.
