Family had great stay for visits to Mammoth Cave and surrounding areas. Loved fire pit, wooded views and privacy! House very comfortable with everything we needed. Stephanie was great with instructions and communication. Would recommend.

My wife and I stayed at this amazing cabin for our 20th anniversary. If you are looking for a peaceful location to relax in the woods look no further. The owners were very kind, helpful and respond promptly. Beautiful property that is secluded, lots of scenery and a lovely drive to get to. The house was very clean and welcoming, TV, Fireplace, games, fire pit outside, and a great deck to sit on and talk. We plan to book again in the future and bring out family with us.

Mammoth Caves Family Vacation

We had a great stay at the cabin. We were traveling with our 4 teenage sons and it was nice that they each had their own bed and that we had two bathrooms. It was also great to cook some meals at home to save some money! The option of a campfire at night was a nice addition and we even got the teenagers to play some games as a family. Highly recommend!

Visit to nearby Mammoth Cave

The scenery was beautiful and the house felt secluded. There was plenty of room for our family. Unexpectedly, there was everything needed for S’Mores which the kids loved! The fire pit was lovely. The house had many extras that are not always included with VRBO rentals, such as bottled water and K-cups, which is greatly appreciated!

The property was remote and away from everything. My only suggestion is be prepared for lots of bugs :)

Thanks so much for the 5 star review. We Appreciate your comment and are going to set up the Outdoor motion light to only come on for a minute or so in an effort to decrease the nighttime bugs. Thanks again- hope to see you again in the future!

Bear Creak Cabin

The property was very nice, as described. It was within 30 minutes of everything we wanted to do. We had a great time. The only thing I didn’t like were the cameras and motion sensor flood lights. Renting a property like this is normally for seclusion, but it doesn’t feel very secluded when there’s bright cameras with audio feed. However, this did not damper our time at all, and I do understand the owners wanting to keep an eye on their Property. We just would have preferred total seclusion and the feeling of being alone in the woods. The home was clean and very comfortable. Very well stocked with anything you may have forgotten. The small touches, like the welcome book, s’more stuff, walking sticks, map of where all the guests came from, towels, board games, and map of the property really gave it a little something extra. Overall it was a great Trip!

Thanks so much for your review. We understand your feelings concerning the floodlights and security system. You did fail to mention that when you asked us to turn off the flood lights that we did so immediately. The security system is in place as this is a very remote property and can be quite dark in the evenings and the auto triggered flood lights are installed so guests can safely find their way to the door. The home is very secluded and the security system is necessary to alert us if anything goes awry. Thanks again for your review.

Cozy place with fire pit

Very clean and comfy house, even provided coffee and small snacks. Best part is the fire pit and outdoor area.

Great place to relax.

We stayed at this little "cabin" Memorial Day weekend and had a really great time. If you're looking for a luxury, this cabin is not, but if you want to get away and relax, do not hesitate and book this property. It is fully stocked with everything you may need and more. The fire pit was great, the host even left the marshmallows, chocolate and crackers to make s'mores. It took us around 30 minutes to get to the Mammoth Cave. Loved the peace and quiet. Would definitely be back.

Wonderful Vacation in This Comfy Little Cabin

We had a wonderful family vacation in this comfy little cabin in the woods! The check-in instructions sent to us in advance and the binder of info on the dining table were both very helpful for our visit! The weather spoiled our plans for a campfire and a few other outdoor activities but we still managed to squeeze in a session of zip lining, a cave tour, a couple trails at Mammoth Cave National Park, and a couple hours of on-site exploring between the April showers. And my daughter didn't let the rain and wet firewood hamper her ability to make and enjoy her s'mores, lol. We would love to come back again sometime to make up some of the experiences we missed on this trip. Especially since we finally figured out the right timing for showers for the 6 of us so the water heater could keep up and no one had to take a cold shower. (It's a pretty common struggle when you have as many kids as we do!)

Great Vacation

We came to Kentucky to visit the Mammoth Caves. Bear Creek was such a wonderful find. The house was inviting and made your feel at home. Definitely would come back!

Beautiful setting

We chose this place because it was close to Mammoth Caves. It is about a 30 minute drive to the visitor center at the park. Other than the time at the park we spent most of our time in the cool AC at the “cabin” because it was just too hot for us Yankees 😄 The place was just as described, not fancy but clean and met or needs. We did enjoy a couple walks down the roads in the morning or evening when it wasn’t so hot.

Relaxation in Nature

We absolutely loved our time at Bearcreek. So peaceful and beautiful. We hiked all day followed with a beautiful fire. The house had everything we needed. Loved the selection of tabletop games once we headed inside for the night. Perfect family fun.

Great Get Away

The place was well documented in the photos, so it was spot on to what I expected. We did a motorcycle trip from Cleveland, OH to Mammoth Cave and to tour a couple distilleries...and just ride. It was a great home base, Especially to relax after a long day of riding.
