We loved this cute little house. It is walking distance to downtown, is in a quiet neighborhood, has private parking, and was the perfect place to stay. We enjoyed it very much.
We enjoyed everything about this spacious cottage in Moscow's historic district--from relaxing on the front porch and cooking in the well equipped kitchen to admiring the cute decor and sleeping in the comfy beds. This is our new home away from home when we visit family in Moscow.
This was the perfect home-base for my daughter and I to land for a couple of days while in the area to attend her husband's "white coat" ceremony at WSU veterinary school. We were so happy to find Larissa's home on VRBO at such a reasonable rate so we could each have our own private bedrooms and not have to go to the expense of paying for 2 separate hotel rooms. This is an older, updated home, but everything from the ease of the key pad security lock for entry and exit, to the spotless cleanliness of the home were perfect for us. We were especially grateful the upstairs air conditioning unit was on when we arrived and kept the home at a pleasant temperature the whole time we were there. Although we didn't do any cooking, the kitchen appeared well appointed and there was a coffee pot *and* filters! Nothing more aggravating that renting a vacation home and arriving to find a coffee pot and NO filters. So I was grateful for that! There were other renters in the basement apartment that we knew were there, but never heard a peep from. The neighborhood is quiet and we had no security concerns whatsoever. I wouldn't hesitate to rent Larissa's home again. Thank you!
We travel up from Chile to a family reunion in Idaho every year. This was our first visit to the Fort Russell Cottage. It was set up perfect for us. We had 3 grandkids and two dogs, and it had plenty of room, with lots of great books and games. The kids loved it! The rules for dogs are reasonable and it was so nice to find a space that accepted them. Our dogs sleep in kennels at night, so they had no problems with this requirement. We were able to walk downtown easily, and the off street parking was easy and secure.
We were visiting Moscow for my sister's wedding and found this home perfect for our family's needs. Charming older home with plenty of things for the kids to do.
We love to host people! Hospitality is a big part of our life, and we hope that is evident when you stay in our Fort Russell Cottage. We want you to feel at home and able to focus on family and friends during your visit, and enjoy Moscow as much as we do! This is why you won't see a big (or small) TV in the middle of the living room! We've spent the last couple of years fixing up this lovely place (we still have lots to do), and we've discovered that we love old homes, full of history and memories and beauty.
We fell in love with this cozy cottage built in 1900 the first time we visited (by Skype!). We've tried to give it a calming coastal air, though it is situated in Moscow's historic Fort Russell district, in the middle of the beautiful rolling Palouse. Lots of lovely old windows brighten up the rooms, and there's plenty of living and dining space to host a friendly gathering.
This sweet home is just up the street from all the Moscow action! Only a block from the library, and a short walk to downtown restaurants and the seasonal Farmer's Market. Walking distance from parks, U of I, and a quick drive to WSU.
