Enjoyed the convenience of the location and the available space for entertainment & games for the family In our opinion the mattresses in some of the rooms are in need of an upgrade
The property is old and full of history, good location short walk to shops cafe beach. The property could do with better heating although we loved the fire, needs a new table tennis table and the back yard bbq area was a mess. Also we believe this property is overpriced.
Beauvais is situated in an excellent location, part way between the beach and town. Unfortunately on arrival, she the rooms were clean, kitchen utensils were often filthy. In addition, many basics that you would expect for a holiday rental were missing (washing basket, net for ping pong table, wine glasses, pegs etc). There was no working bbq despite this being advertised. Nor would I describe the bath set up as a deluxe spa! The back she'd contained a drum full of rubbish and cigarette butts. The property manager was excellent in trying to make amends at a busy time.
The house was very dark on a rainy day as well. For the smallest of investment, this place could be a special rustic destination.
Plus side was the bedroom layout, expansive and pet friendly garden and location.
We were disappointed the table tennis table was broken and packed up. Also the description says two bathrooms but there's actually only one toilet and it's out in the laundry via the games room. Otherwise everything was fine.
We love this home. Even though it is big and there are only 2 of us and a doggy, we love it. Big yard, great proximity to everything, and old world charm.
We had the pleasure of staying at Beauvais over Easter. Six adults and one very contented Labrador! It was perfect for us and so close to everything. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the wood fire was a bonus, as was the table tennis table/games room.We will definitely stay here again!
