Situé dans les lots de Waimanalo Beach, à seulement 30 minutes d'Honolulu et de Waikiki. La plage de Waimanalo est l’une des plus grandes, des plus propres et des plus privées d’Oahu. Cette plage de sable blanc est très sûre (en ce qui concerne l'océan / le surf). Vous pourrez donc vous détendre sans avoir à vous inquiéter car votre famille profite de l'océan. Évadez-vous de l'agitation et échappez-vous vers cette plage immaculée classée n ° 1.

Ensuite, profitez de tout ce que cette maison tout compris a à offrir. Vous aurez tout à portée de main pour passer un bon moment sur la plage. Détendez-vous sur les chaises de plage ou prenez les planches de surf (3), les kayaks (3) ou les planches à voile (2) sur la plage et attrapez des vagues. Si l’eau est plate, utilisez les masques et les palmes de plongée en apnée (équipement de qualité et en suffisance pour tout le groupe) pour voir ce qui se cache sous la surface. Pour les plus ambitieux du groupe, des réductions sont disponibles pour la plongée sous-marine, les visites d'observation de dauphins et de baleines et de nombreuses autres activités.

Après les activités de la journée, détendez-vous sur le porche couvert et écoutez les vagues entrer. Préparez votre dîner dans la cuisine ou jetez des hamburgers sur le gril à gaz. Grand salon avec TV et DVD. La table à manger peut accueillir 8 personnes et le bar de la cuisine peut accueillir 4 personnes. La cuisine a tout ce dont vous aurez besoin. Il y a aussi une laveuse et une sécheuse dans l'unité afin que vous puissiez emballer un peu plus léger.

La chambre principale a l'air conditionné, mais vous n'en aurez pas besoin, car la brise du commerce souffle dans les sons et les odeurs de l'océan. 2ème chambre a également 2 lits jumeaux et le salon a 2 futons queen pour les invités supplémentaires.

Place was as stated. The location was perfect as we have family in Waimanalo. House had plenty of room. Was clean and just a short walk to the beach.

Was nice staying somewhere with all the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay like we were at home. Mark answered any questions we had and left info i n a binder that was really helpful to find extra things to do. I will stay here again next time I come to Oahu! The owner of the property has 2 dogs that are both well behaved and helped us feel more at home since we didn't bring our dogs with. The home is within walking distance to the beach and the neighborhood felt safe. This is not a resort it is a home and we felt at home here. We grilled, cooked, kept groceries, and drinks, and snacks at the house saving us from having to eat or every meal or snack. Also has a nice deck area for grilling or hanging out. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect for what we were looking for

After reading previous reviews I set my expectations accordingly not knowing what to expect. What we ended up with was a perfect vacation and place to stay for our family week. This is not to say the place is perfect, but the gorgeous mountains in back of us, the quiet nice neighborhood and 2 blocks (yes 2) to a gorgeous beach you just can't beat. The house was perfect for our family with a great layout and everything from the kitchen to the bath to the beach stuff was fully stocked. With the upstairs lanai we felt safe sleeping with the door open and getting the cross breeze. I would advise that the owner add smoke detectors to the bedroom. And yes the yard was a mess but the Koi fish were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. My whole family loved this low key beach pad and would stay again for sure. The owner was very nice and helpful too. Also yes we saw the dogs but they looked super sweet and if they ever did bark it wasn't prolonged and not a problem at all. The Koi pond also provides a nice white noise to the other neighborhood sounds. This place is ideal for those who would prefer a more authentic experience over having the more commercial experience of a big hotel. Thank you for a great week!

Home away from home in Waimanalo

Our host, Mark, made everything simple to find the house and check in. The house was very welcoming and homey. He thought of everything a guest would need to enjoy the stay. Waimānalo Beach is about 6 minutes away. There were even snorkeling gear, chairs, toys and accessories for the beach. Beach towels were provided, stashed in a cute old trunk in the living room area. The kitchen had everything but the food to cook. Although, there were some condiments, butter, coffee, cream, sugar, etc. There was even a welcoming gift with a box of Hawaiian chocolates with macadamia nuts. Extra bed linens, pillows, towels, shampoo, conditioner, a bar of soap, laundry detergent and dryer sheets were provided. I especially enjoyed reading the binder on the coffee table. It had very important information about the house and neighborhood expectations, suggestions on restaurants, tours, points of interests. It had a few pages on the history of the island and islands, nice touch. The warnings given as a tourist swimming in the ocean was very helpful. I was with my 4 daughters, son and a boyfriend of one of my girls. Coming from one of the 19 pueblos in New Mexico, as Indigenous Peoples, we felt the warmth and love of the house and felt right at home. We especially enjoyed the more rural area of the island, away from the tourists. This home is located on the 2nd level of the house. It is very easily accessible, parking is right in front. I very highly recommend this home. Come enjoy Hawaii!

RED FLAGS FIRST NIGHT - NOT AS DESCRIBED!!

I was offered $ NOT to post this review. We traveled 13 hours so excited for our destination vacation to begin. We knew we were staying in an existing older neighborhood home that we had Google mapped. But what is advertised in the VRBO listing is not what we got!! We arrived at a house with a large barking dog on the property (never disclosed!), and found the interior to not match the we photos (older, darker furniture & paint, & the windows by the dining table don’t even exist!), used linens and overall dirty from the previous guests, and outside the view from the deck is of the homeowners unmaintained backyard and the hot tub which was unusable because of green algae that covers the patio, lawn furniture, and koi pond. Where we also saw laundry from the previous guests/homeowner in a heap. I contacted Mark and he responded quickly, and said the dog was friendly and not to worry about him that he was a big baby and he wasn’t aware of any maintenance issues? WTAF Later that night the list just kept getting longer: - bait and switch property listing - dog on property (never disclosed!) the hot tub, kayaks, boogie boards, and koi pond are all in the yard with barking dog. And dog shit! - property not maintained - property not cleaned - living room sleeps 4 but we couldn’t get the blinds to close and ended up using beach towels to improvise. - no smoke detectors in bedrooms! - old refrigerator (no ice maker) - terrible WiFi We loved Hawaii, but DON’T stay here!!

Family of 4 Paradise

This was an excellent property for our family of 4. You can have 4 more people with the 2 futons in the livingroom so lots of room. It was comfortable and homey. The available boogie boards, snorkel gear, surf boards, and kyaks were awesome. The location was excellent. The beautiful beach was just a short walk down the road and the hottub was an added bonus. The location of the property is only about a 20-30 min drive to downtown Waikiki and an hour to the North Shore. Keeps you out of the hussle and bussle of the city but close enough to zip over. The owner is super friendly, available if needed, and open to suggestions. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Beach Location

Great location with a short walk to beautiful Waimanalolo Beach!!! Perfect for a small family or group!! Can't beat starting or ending the night in the hot tub either. Great location out of all the craziness with easy access to all the sites!!! Hosts are so helpful & welcoming!!!

Cozy, quiet neighborhood, fantastic beach nearby

Excellent place for a peaceful getaway. The beach is incredible, safe and fun for all ages, and never very crowded. The house is well stocked with amenities and we were able to grill up some excellent meals and clean our clothes. Not very big but lots of sleeping options if you are ok with sleeping in the living room too, the futons were very nice for options. Also, having boogie boards, chairs and all made the beach even more enjoyable. Along with the detailed and interesting welcome booklet, Mark has thought of pretty much everything you'll need to have a great vacation!

Great off-the-beaten-path location for a family

We had a fantastic time in Hawaii and this rental was a big part of making that happen. It was great being off the beaten path a bit but still able to get to the North Shore or western side of the island in less than an hour. Having a very beautiful and almost empty beach, at least during the week, just a 3-4 minute walk away was great! Our kids were at the beach daily, either before or after our island adventure for the day, and really enjoyed taking the boogie boards out into the 2-3 foot waves. The rental was well setup, had everything we needed. Mark and Holly were both very personable and accommodating. If we make it back we'll most certainly stay here again!

Not what I expected...

The add did not explain very well the property or location. The path to the hot tub was difficult to get to even though the dogs were friendly but not what I expected. There was a massive ant and gecko problem. The cable tv didnt work very well kept cutting out loosing service. There was trash under the master bedroom bed. When asked about possible refund there was not one and the owner was not very friendly. Not till after it was time to check out. Dogs barked at all hours of the day and night. It was not on the beach like we thought when we arrived its 6 blocks from there did not have much amenities for the bathroom. Overall just glad we found a place to stay but not like this.

Great location....some housekeeping needed.

The best feature of this property was the location....2 blocks from Waimanalo Beach. Communication was satisfactory. Floors need a deep cleaning. We moved the couch over slightly to practice hula. The floor under the couches were very dirty. We had to wipe the wood floor prior to practicing. The ceiling lights and fan in the twin beds bedroom did not work at all. He told us to use the lamp in the closet. We were told he would repair it the next day, but that didn't happen. We again mentioned it a couple days before departing stating that the dining room light was not working either nor was one of the ceiling lights and fan in the living room. He said he would try to come by the next day, but I told him not to bother as it was already close to the end of our trip and suggested he make sure they work for the next guests. My suggestion to the owner would be prior to renting the property, check all the lights and switches, and do a deep cleaning.. We were asked to give a 5 star rating in exchange for an early check in, which I feel is quite unethical. I would definitely give a 5 star rating if it was warranted. The property met our needs; however, better housekeeping would be suggested for an overall improved experience. Mahalo for the stay.

Exactly what we wanted

My wife and 2 kids spent a week at this location and we were very happy. It has every modern amenity you would want in a house. Washer/dryer full bathroom, hallway in between the kids room and the parents room. Patio with tables and BBQ, dinner table, futons, coffee maker, hair dryer, you name its provided. If you are looking for a non tourist destination very close to the beach then this is a solid place. We had an issue with bugs (this is why I left 4/5 stars for cleanliness) but the owners were very response and communication was quick and helpful. Seperate entry and plenty of parking. All of the beach equipment is also provided; we used umbrellas, sand toys and there is snorkel gear available. The rooms, sheets and towels were very clean and a service comes through to provide a great living environment. There are mini-marts and grocery stores near by along with restaurants to get you through your stay. I would choose this location again for a long stay in Hawaii.

I thought we were renting a separate house, not a duplex. However the Hosts who live below were vary accommodating and gracious to our needs. The kitchen was easy to use. the dishwasher needed repair. It would be nice to have a second 1/2 bathroom. We had 5 adults and 2 kids. Location to Waimanalo beach is its best feature. Plenty of water toys for the beach. Bring your own life vest.

Unmet expectations on our part

I read the previous reviews and was assured by the owner/manager that all of the previous complaints and issues had been dealt with. Some had, some had not. It just wasn’t for us. I didn’t spend this amount of money to live “as Hawaiians live.” I should have better understood the neighborhood, and other things. Some people love this, we just didn’t. I’ve already suggested to the owner that he hire a new cleaning service and that some time be spent doing a deep cleaning and repainting of the residence. The owner is a very nice man; the family happened to be out of town during our visit.

Glad we picked this place over crowded Honolulu. Great access to a beautiful beach. Owner is friendly and accommodating. Lots of beach gear to pick from. Construction on highway 72 caused a little inconvenience but not a big problem.

Excellent location and good value

The location was ideal. Hot tub was enjoyable. Quite a few amenities were stocked which was great. It was nice to have so many towels available and to have a washer and dryer there in the kitchen. There wasn’t much among the snorkel gear that worked for us, so I wouldn’t rely on that. But I’d you want to go snorkeling, you can get some good gear at Costco there on the island or rent it. Some in our group didn’t love the pillows, so if you’re picky about that, maybe bring your own. Also, the ice machine didn’t work, so if you’re planning on ice, make sure to fill the trays in the freezer.

We loved having access to beach, to kaila and Waimea ali town and the Ko’olau range. Mark and his family were very generous with their space. The home is small but comfortably sleeps 5. Definitely funky and homey!

Needs repairs and a DEEP clean.

Looks way better in the video than in reality. The current family is not the family in the video. It seems to have been let go over the years. Here are just a few things that need attention. 1st a very DEEP CLEANING and de-cluttering. Several minor repairs needed. Bedroom doors don't close properly, dishwasher doesn't drain, grill is filthy, light fixtures falling off ceiling, clothes washer needs repair, screens off tracks, bath fan covered in lint, fridge door doesn't close properly. Friendly advise is to take it off the market for 30 days and clean the place up. Great location just expected a way nicer place. Mahalo!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

I bought this house for a couple simple reasons LOCATION, Location, Location. Its just a very short walk from the nicest beach on the island (Rated Best Beach USA in 2015 (Forbes)). It has many other awards but we prefer to keep it "on the down low". I can't imagine ever selling this property.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

As you will notice if you read my online guestbook, we make all of our toys available to our guests. I have a pile of boogie boards, 4 or more surfboards, 4 or more kayaks, and quality snorkeling gear for your whole group. I invite you to bring your children down to feed the Koi in the pond and am always available if you have any questions. Yes, this also includes the occasional call for directions should you happen to get lost or just have a question about the island.
