Billa Bush Cottage - Point Lookout, Queensland

Billa Bush Cottage est une maison insulaire récemment rénovée (novembre 2018) qui a gardé son beau charme et ses qualités originales, mais a été entraßnée dans le monde moderne avec une belle salle de bains moderne `` salle d'eau '' et une belle cuisine.

La maison dispose de planchers en bois poli tout au long et d'une grande cuisine américaine avec un four micro-ondes, une cuisiniÚre à gaz et une machine à café Nespresso (apportez vos propres dosettes). La terrasse avec barbecue à gaz et coin repas donne sur la brousse indigÚne. Il y a aussi un mini haut-parleur Bluetooth pour écouter vos morceaux préférés.

Les chambres (les deux lits king size) sont climatisĂ©es mais une fois les fenĂȘtres grillagĂ©es ouvertes, la brise commence Ă  traverser la maison.

Billa Street est bien connue pour sa proximitĂ© avec le cƓur de Point Lookout et est Ă  distance de marche de tous les commerces et plages.

Veuillez noter qu'il s'agit d'un chalet "sans écran", mais c'est une promenade trÚs facile au Pub Straddie pour regarder tous les événements spéciaux sur leur grand écran.

Linge fourni pour les rĂ©servations effectuĂ©es aprĂšs le 1/12/18, NB Les lits ne sont pas faits et le linge peut ĂȘtre Ă  retourner Ă  notre bureau lors du retour des clĂ©s.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, the maintenance and cleanliness of the property was poor. Upon arrival we were greeted with a dirty deck and dust, grime and dog hair on the outdoor furniture. Inside was much the same; marks on the doona covers, dirty plates, cutlery, pots and pans, an empty gas bottle for the BBQ, broken oven and the list goes on. The property had ants crawling from the verandah ceilings to the countertops inside.Overall, the property is in a great location, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Point Lookout. Just a short walk to the beach and pub. Spacious enough for a few people, great outdoor area, it just lacked upkeep. Despite all of this, we did have a good stay at the Billa Bush Cottage. I would recommend the property owners to either hire a new cleaner or inspect it before guests arrive.

We had an incredible stay.The house is beautifully set among Straddie’s stunning bushland and wildlife, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The management team was fantastic—professional, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Everything about our experience was seamless, from the home itself to the outstanding service. Straddie never disappoints, and this trip was no exception. We highly recommend the property.

We had a very comfortable stay. The house had everything we needed to be able to cook at home. It’s a bit of a walk into the main part of town so we were glad to have a car.

However in the middle of June when we were there it was very cold and unpleasant. The sun does not get down in the ravine where it is situated at all. It is almost colder in the house than outside. Not enough blankets to be warm at night.

Lovely spot

A lovely house - open, bright and breezy. Managed to cook for 8 people comfortably. On issue was the oven not working. Overall, a great place.

I was even more impressed with the property in person vs the photos. A short walk to cylinder beach and the local pub for a drink (and they have a bottle shop too). Lots of basic items provided like salt and pepper.Something to consider if taking little kids is that the curtains are completely sheer.

Beautiful renovated beach house close to Cylinder Beach

Property was well maintained and beautifully renovated. Good supply of games and books. Close to Cylinder beach, but a fair walk to Point Lookout restaurants. Remember to bring shampoo and a hairdryer.

Poor advice re pantry.. we’re told no salt & pepper ,cleaning dishwasher stuff etc. sorry , better pantry than st my home. I suspect this a generic setup but needs to be updated for each rental as we filled a box with totally superfluous stuff that was already there. I realise this is more work for you but real basics like s & p sugar washing up stuff should be mandatory for owners. A few minor problems that we sorted due to non information but looking about sorted them. Loved arriving on s hot & sticky day to find aircon & fans going. Nice touch.

Beautiful house

Beautiful house to stay in. Short walk to the beach and bus stops which then take you into the main townships. Would recommend an island pass if staying for more than 5 days. Was all very clean and had everything you would need for a week or more stay. At the end of a very quiet street and surround by trees. Would definitely visit again. Thank you!
