Love the feedback—thanks! When you return you’ll see that I’ve placed a couple of chairs by the fire pit, to add to the bench, and replenished the firewood. I took a look at the pillows and you’re right…they were ridiculously thin (if you like a plumper one!). I replaced the pillows in the master bedroom of both the house and adjacent cottage with fatter ones you will enjoy, but left some thin ones in the closet should guests prefer those. Finding the state champion chestnut tree is a bit of a treasure hunt: it’s in the center of the knoll just above the Willet Nest. Sadly it, like all chestnuts, has caught the blight and is dying. Apple season is fun! The harvest begins just before Labor Day weekend and stretches into November. Come in summer to pick blueberries, currants, and gooseberries.

Thanks for letting us know about the bunk bed mattresses. We have replaced them with new comfortable Serta mattresses., so that all of our guests--kids and adults alike--can enjoy a better night's sleep. :) Hope to see you and your sweet family another time.
