Le Scenic Ridge Cabin est vraiment un endroit spécial! C'est une retraite privée située sur trois acres juste au nord de Lawton et de Medicine Park, dans l'Oklahoma, et située au pied des montagnes de Wichita. L'emplacement comprend un patio panoramique offrant une vue panoramique sans précédent sur le mont Sheridan, les monts Tarbone et Scott, au sud, et sur le parc éolien de Slick Hills et de Blue Canyon, au nord.

Notre cabine confortable et romantique en forme d’octogone est situĂ©e prĂšs du refuge faunique de Wichita Mountain, oĂč vous trouverez plus de 60 000 hectares de randonnĂ©e, escalade, pĂȘche, navigation de plaisance et observation de la faune. Le cĂ©lĂšbre restaurant Meers se trouve Ă  seulement trois kilomĂštres Ă  l'est et la pittoresque communautĂ© de pavĂ©s pavĂ©s de Medicine Park est Ă  seulement 15 minutes.

My wife and I spent three nights while visiting the Wichita Mountains. We were very pleased with the accomodation. Everything was clean and as advertised. Really good view of the mountains. We enjoyed the serenity of the evenings and sitting out on the porch. Excellent location. Just 15 minutes or so from the refuge. Definitely recommend staying.

This place is impressive! The views, the space, the location, the ammenities. All top notch. Literally minutes from the wildlife refuge. I would stop at a grocery store before arriving because the nearest one is 30 min away. There are no spices, or coffee/creamer so you will need to grab those things. Other than that I will definately be back. We had such a great time!

Scenic Ridge cabin was so beautiful! Our 1st time staying in a cabin and we loved it! We came down from Louisiana for our son’s AIT graduation at Fort Sill. We all enjoyed just sitting on the porch chilling and enjoying the time we had with our family. Nice, cozy atmosphere! Would definitely love to stay here again!

Scenic is right!

We wanted a place that was quiet and beautiful and this was it! Remote but not too far from civilization
and the views right outside the front door were gorgeous, not to mention the areas all around the property.

2nd time here!!

This is our second time to stay here, we stayed in July and January, so we got to experience both the hottest and coldest months of the year. We loved both stays! The only thing that we regret is not understanding that the beautiful wood burning stove was for show only. Other than that, our stay was PERFECT! David and Dara are excellent hosts and we cannot wait for our third stay.

Christmas in the Wichitas

My partner and I had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful and very cozy. We appreciated the recommendations and info sent to us by our hosts, and had a wonderful Christmas dinner. We both agreed we would love to be back in the spring to see the area again when it isn’t winter, though the misty mountain tops we saw during our stay had a certain charm as well and made for some beautiful scenery.

We have loved coming to the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park since we moved back to Oklahoma City in 2000. Scenic Ridge Cabin provides us a welcome reset from our day-to-day lives in OKC. We appreciate every opportunity we can to enjoy our cabin and escape our busy lives, but when we can't make it - we love sharing it with others!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We had frequently daydreamed about having a little getaway near the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge and Medicine Park and were thrilled to stumble onto the Scenic Ridge Cabin "for sale" over Memorial Day weekend of 2015. We stayed for a "test" weekend and immediately fell in love with the cabin, with its special location on three acres overlooking Mount Scott, Mount Sheridan, Tarbone Mountain, the Slick Hills and the windmill farm. Our unique octagon shaped cabin has been lovingly and thoughtfully renovated and furnished. The views are incredible, and nothing beats relaxing on the wrap around patio.

Some of our favorite things about our cabin include: coffee or a glass of wine on the wrap around patio; the artisan touches and finishes; the privacy and solitude; nightly bunny sightings (most often at dusk;) collared lizards hanging out on the rocks; occasional owl sightings; proximity to Meers, Medicine Park, and the Wichita Wildlife Refuge; cooking dinner for a relaxing evening on the couch, watching a movies or a football game; wild turkeys scattered about our neighborhood; our kind neighbors and their sweet and loving dogs.
