Hillside House

Hillside House offre des vues panoramiques sur le Pacifique à couper le souffle et la lumière à travers de grandes fenêtres. Sa vaste pelouse et ses jardins s'ajoutent au sentiment d'espace, ouvert et détendu de ce refuge de vacances fantastique. L’étage supérieur est accessible par deux petites marches depuis la porte principale, ce qui facilite l’accès à la grande salle avec son mur de fenêtres à l’ouest et ses trois chambres doubles, dont deux suites et une avec douche accessible. La cuisine est grande et suffisamment ouverte pour plusieurs cuisiniers. Le bar et la table à manger permettent à tout le monde de s’asseoir. Le rez-de-chaussée est également ravissant, avec une salle de jeux avec table de billard, mini-cuisine, canapé-lit et télévision, ainsi que des lits superposés supplémentaires dans une chambre adjacente. Les enfants seront ravis de rester sous le pont, notamment parce que les grandes fenêtres qui s’ouvrent au rez-de-chaussée apportent lumière et vues au rez-de-chaussée. Depuis que vous êtes à Roads End, des kilomètres de plage de sable se trouvent juste en bas de la colline. Vous trouverez également des restaurants, un pub-brasserie McMenamins, des boutiques et le casino Chinook Winds à 5 minutes de route. Mais vous pourrez peut-être simplement vous détendre dans votre refuge à flanc de colline, en regardant les surfeurs et les couchers de soleil depuis le grand pont à étages.

Excellent place to gather family!

Lovely and spacious home that is cozy and warm. Great space to gather a group (there were 9 adults) with plenty of beds.The ocean view is absolutely stunning. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful views!

The driveway is really steep but we got used to it. I don't know how 4 vehicles could park at the top and still have room to maneuver. The house was very spacious. The living room furniture could use a refresh. The shower in the basement didn't work. Management was very quick to respond the one time I did vontact yhemtimdidcontact

Christmas with our children and 90 year old mother.

Beautiful view. New windows and blinds. Kitchen was well stocked. New washer and dryer. The beds need updating but we would definitely stat again, and would recommend to friends.

Spacious! Beautiful view!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! Very close to beach access. Nice yard. Very clean. Nice large rooms and common areas. The only thing I wish I knew before hand, that wasn’t disclosed, was this house has a very steep driveway.

Adequate

Place was large and clean but was minimal in making things comfortable. Electronic lock was acting up, perhaps needing a battery or calibration. No bathmats, no extra towels for beach, no Keurig, old pillows (very flat) - as examples. The views and area are nice, but some money needs to be put in to it make it a place one would like to come back to.

Family reunion

Great home for small family reunion. Walked to beach. Steep driveway and old pool table with no pool sticks you could use, no power in downstairs bedroom only complaints. Could use better fry pans too. Good sleeping for our group! Enjoyed the view and pur stay, thx!!!

Hilltop House

Cleaners were still cleaning at check-in time. 4 beds did not have bottom sheets. We found the clean sheets in a cupboard, not folded.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: was a clean house, with a beautiful view, the front right burner in stove needs looked at, also a spot in hallway the carpet needs stretched and hooked down better. This is a fun family home. I plan to return and bring all the family. My favorite part was sitting on the deck looking at ocean.

Perfect Fit

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is a perfect fit for any family/group travelling with someone with limited mobility. Easy access to main living area of house, bedrooms and beautiful view. Just beware, the driveway is very steep so getting up to it with an electric cart on the back of the vehicle is questionable, depending on you vehicle.

Nice Property

The front deck is showing wear and is scary. The carpeting throughout the home is in need of deep cleaning very badly, also bedspreads. Flooring tiles are coming up in the kitchen. Otherwise we enjoyed our time with relatives we dont often see ant the view cannot be beat. Thank you Meredith Properties.

Family reunion successful

The house allowed for very active toddlers and an ADA 87 year old! Hard to do. The house had all the needed amenities for cooking and relaxing. Loved the lazy boy couches and chairs! Basic but completely functional, great view, enough yard to run kids. Beds comfortable and enough for 8 adults and several kiddos. A bit of a walk DOWN to the beach and a hike UP the hill to house. But whale watching is successful from the deck!

Pleasant get away

View is amazing and home was very clean and comfortable. Beach is a short walk away, however, hill up to house is very steep and some folks may have trouble getting up/down. Kitchen floor is in need of repair as it is coming up in places and can be a trip hazard. Pool table needs re-felting and is not in good condition. Dryer is very noisy and needs repair attention.

Perfect!

The view is amazing! You can hear the waves slapping on the shore. The house was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival. Hillside House is roomy - plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax. Beach is close enough to walk - uphill climb on the way back 😊 The living room furniture is comfortable. The kitchen adequate. There is one in suite bath upstairs. The other upstairs bath is in the hall - between the other 2 bedrooms. Good floor plan. I have to emphasize the view again! Love it! Would stay again definitely!

Gorgeous view and quiet neighborhood

This was a large home with a beautiful view. We loved it here. It's not a fancy house but it's comfortable. We loved sitting on the porch. My kids loved the pool table. We loved that they could be downstairs and the adults upstairs. Also thank you for allowing my dog. It was his first family vacation with us. Meredith Lodging was fabulous to deal with. Always quick with the communication. A few things: 1) The driveway is very steep. Our van is low and scraped the back bumper as we went from the street to the driveway. My dad's vehicle had no problem. Parking is limited and difficult, but doable. 2) The carpets need to be cleaned. 3) These mattresses desperately need to be replaced, at least in the large upstairs room and smaller bedroom with a bathroom.

Amazing views

The house ended up perfect for our family. The two suits are just bedrooms not with bathrooms. The bunk bed room also has another set of bunk beds with a bathroom attached which was really nice to have. They also have a new futon to sleep on. We enjoyed the pool table and the space. Some things are a little outdated and it had a smell but that didn’t bother us. The driveway is steep but didn’t mind much. I would suggest plastic wear for kids and an ice cream scooper. Also the garbage disposal to be fixed. Other then that we really enjoyed our stay! Beach access is maybe 5min walk down the road and Gods Thumb trail access is couple mins up the road. Beds were fine for us. Yes they had plastic on them to protect the mattress but didn’t bother us much. I would only suggest fixing the pictures and wording in the advertised house! Thank you again!

Nice but mousey

The house is a great location with plenty of space to hang out. It was clean upon arrival. My family enjoyed our stay until the last day when we finally discovered what was causing what we thought were chocolate chip crumbs on the counter (because we had brought cookies) - it was a mouse (a shrew to be specific). It was coming in and out from behind the oven. It had been getting into the cookie tin (slipped thru a crack in the top) and leaving its traces in the cookie tin - again, we thought those were the chocolate chip crumbs that turned out to be mouse poop!). We had been eating the cookies and unknowingly eating mouse excrement! This was very disturbing and luckily no one got sick. I tried messaging (on a Sat. late afternoon) with no response. My sister, husband and I ended up spending the rest of the day trying to trap the mouse - which we finally did and released it far away from the house. Meredith Lodging sent me a way to make a complaint but am still waiting for a response (a week later). If they can take care of the mouse issue, this is a nice house in a great location. However, the communication is not good. It is surprising that they do not return messages in a timely manner or come to take care of a mouse issue.

Great View on a Rainy Day

Big home including two public spaces. Place was clean but dated. Beds comfortable (except ones with plastic covers) but pillows lacking . Great wall of windows looking out to ocean. Comfy living room furniture that seats seven and easy on/off gas stove. Management was quick to come fix a plugged dishwasher drain. Perfect upper level for an elder with limited mobility.

Special Time with Siblings

My three brothers and I decided we wanted a getaway. One brother is battling cancer, and this may have been our last opportunity for a getaway that would include all four of us. It’s hard to gibd an ADA-friendly home at the beach, but this worked well. This home was lovely, with a beautiful view of the ocean. It’s pet-friendly and as expected, there were minor signs of pets. There were a few maintenance items that had been neglected, but communication with the management was fast and easy. I would definitely stay here again.
