It was clean and cute. The location is perfect for a getaway for two. The beach is a short walk away, and there are restaurants and a convenient store right near by.
The bed was very comfortable, & room had everything we needed. It was within walking distance to all locations, shopping and restaurants. Also close to the pier. Excellent porch and seating and also had an outside shower. Would highly recommend staying here!
Absolutely lovely room. The location of this property is phenomenal. Close to Tybarissa street with shopping restaurants, etc., and close to phenomenal beaches.
Short stay to enjoy the ocean while my daughter was at SCAD. The Inn is beautiful, close to the beach offering amenities to keep you comfy. The owners where great with information and the property was even better than advertised!
Thank you Jenny for an awesome few days in Tybee. The house was in walking distance to most restaurants and the beach! We did drive to explore the other side of the island but short trip and minimal traffic made it perfect. Perfect place for couples who need some much needed rest and relaxation!!
Only steps away from the beach, this property is a perfect location. Nice exterior sitting areas and quiet neighborhood. Internet was a tad sketchy at times but with the beach so near, who needs to be online, right?
The place was cute & had charm. Close to restaurants, shopping & beach. Beware of parking police- we got a $50 ticket for being parked a little past the almost invisible yellow line on the sidewalk. đ
this is our second time staying at 17th street in for our birthday/anniversary trip and we will definitely be back for a third. you cannot beat the location and the intimate stay and just overall comfort on being home away from home. jenny is so well regarded in tybee so everywhere we went and were asked where we stayed, everyone immediately stated " we love jenny!". highly recommend her properties for any of your stays.
The room was enjoyable and clean. Close to the beach and restaurant was a plus. :)
Parking was a bit difficult to find but I was expected to happen during the summer.
The only thing I was say is the automatic lock to the front door had no power.
As advertised! 160 steps from the beach is for real!
We really enjoyed all of the thoughtful details the host included to make our stay memorable, from providing a red light flashlight for responsible sea turtle viewing, to a bucket for beach cleanup, we could not have had a better experience. The beautifully tended garden and porches added to our beachside bliss. We felt safe, clean, and cared for. What more could a family of water babies wish for?
Just enough space for two people! The AC unit kept the place cool during the hot summer days. The host provides beach chairs and a beach umbrella! We were literally steps away from the water! The food in Tybee is gross and overpriced (except Cocoâs), so I would encourage you to venture Into Savannah. In the midst of Covid, my partner and I just wanted to get out of our house. Overall, I was pleased with the accommodations and close proximity to the beach!
If youâre on the fence, just book it right now. I promise you will not be disappointed. This inn is a beautiful and unique little gem - a definite must stay for any couple, family, or even solo traveler. Itâs less than a block to the beach and incredibly close to Tybrisa. Everything you need is at your fingertips⊠couldnât ask for a better location. The individual studios are clean and well-maintained, itâs quiet at night, and the outside area is something magical⊠both romantic and charming! This place is an 11/10 - highly recommend! We will be back!
You can't find a better location unless you go further down the street!
You don't have to cross any roads to reach the beach - just walk a few steps. The listing says 160 steps, but that must be to get over the dunes and all the way to the water! Or maybe we just enjoyed the walk. This is a studio, but it' has ample room, a good sized kitchen, and a front porch that serves as the living room. The shower is ample with plenty of pressure and hot water. There is a/c in the bedroom and the kitchen, so you can easily get it too cold in the hot weather. When we return to Tybee, we will stay here.
We absolutely loved our stay at 17th Street Inn. Our room was so so cute, updated, clean, the bed was comfy, and the location was excellent! We loved the common area to sit in the evening, and the porch was perfect for our morning coffee or to wait out an afternoon thunderstorm. The walk to the beach took about 2 minutes and there is an access point right at the end of the road which made it so easy to go back and forth. It was also just a few minutes to walk to the shops and restaurants on Tybreesia St. Jenny was a great, responsive host and made the whole experience super simple. The parking pass was invaluable and made it easy to find parking anywhere we went on the island. Parking for the Inn is on the street, but we never had any trouble finding a spot out front. We would definitely recommend 17th Street Inn to anyone, and will definitely stay again if weâre in town. Thanks for a great stay!
Clean, comfortable and close to the beach. I was happy to see how new the kitchen appliances and bathroom were as that was not obvious from the pictures. A couple of things that would have made it fantastic: 1- the sofa cover was old and a bit stained - it would have been so easy to cover it (I did mention this to the host) - I'm sure I was more sensitive to this because of the pandemic. 2- I was doing surfing lessons and kayaking - so lots of wet gear, with not many places available to hang it
3- there was a slight smell - not sure whether it was new paint or something else; I just kept the door open to let the breeze in. The nice patio beside the building I did not use at all - but if traveling with a friend I probably would have done. The outdoor shower there was convenient for after the beach.
This was a great property in a good location. The room was exactly as pictured, the bed was very comfortable and people passing by kept commenting on how cute the building is. The beach is about 3/4 of a block away and there are several restaurants close.
There was a problem with the air conditioning, but it was taken care of before we even arrived (a portable unit was put in our room until they could get parts) and Jenny called to let us know what was going on.
The only negative is the lack of parking. You are provided with a parking pass and if you tend to just park your car and not move it much, you will be fine. We were using our room as a base to go do other things and parking was a problem every time we came back. We drove around for anywhere from 5 minutes to a half hour looking for parking. So, if parking will not be an issue for you, I would definitely recommend this property. If you do plan on driving to do other things a lot, then I would probably look for someplace with private parking.
