Well appointed, spacious, and the window wall gives a great view of Lake Champlain. It’s on a quiet street and about half a mile to the gorgeous Burlington Greenway/Island Line Trail for biking right from the cottage north to the causeway or south to Burlington parks, restaurants, and other trails. That bike trail also connects to the Lake Champlain bike trail at Airport Park. The beautiful Stowe Recreational Path is about an hour away by car. And a nice access to kayak the Winooski River is just a few minutes south.

This was a fantastic cottage on the lake with easy access to so many things to do and see - particularly the bike trails! The cottage was as pictured - spacious, comfortable, and clean with a kitchen stocked with dishes and tools. The breeze off the lake is incredible and cooling, making for comfortable sleeping. Many thanks to the hosts for providing a lovely home for family vacation.

With a little more attention to some details this is a very cute place to stay for a week. It would be a five with a few fixes. We had to buy a light bulb for the only light near the laundry. Two bedroom ceiling fans don’t operate fully. On one the light and the fan both must be on or off. The pull chain controls are jammed. The main living room heater, which worked well for six nights stopped working our last night. Some of the pictures show different furnishings than what we found, including a queen bed instead of two twins in one of the bedrooms. The shower fixture that controls the water temp and flow has come loose and looks bent. The shower worked well otherwise. The rope light in the living room that is just mood lighting is 90% burned out. The living room furniture is clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. There are some exposed electrical wires and one outlet had no cover plate. That could be a shock hazard. The WiFi and cable box are plugged into a light duty dangling extension cord. There ought to be a multi-socket surge protector mounted to the wall that would solve that issue. These are mostly small things that didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of this property. Guests need to feel that the electrical is up to code. These seem to be easily fixed items. Hope this helps.Thank you for the stay.

Open and bright camp with lake views

The main living area is bright and open making it a wonderful place to hang with the family. The bedrooms are small (it is a seasonal camp) but the beds were very comfortable. Loved the location - we'd absolutely come back.

Great beach house

We enjoyed being so close to the water and would have enjoyed the beach more if the weather had cooperated! Even so, the beach house was a large and comfortable place to hang out and listen to the rain.

Cutest cozy cottage

We were in Vermont for my sons graduation from UVM. Best decision booking this cottage instead of a hotel. I loved the open concept and the outside porch and set up was perfect. Just a real peaceful spot! Would definitely come back. Thanks!

Light and airy summer cottage with great gathering spaces both indoor and out. The host goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable providing plush towels and pillows, chairs and umbrellas for the beach and is responsive to questions that may arise. Perfectly located in a quiet friendly neighborhood near the bike trail and airport park with pickleball courts. We bought floats and enjoyed swimming and floating in the sandy bottomed lake. We cooked all our meals and enjoyed eating together. The washer and dryer was a bonus.

Nice Stay for UVM graduation

We had a lovely stay at this cottage with lake views and appreciated being outside of busy downtown Burlington. We might have been their first stay of the season and sadly the bikes were not available to ride. We were grateful for the space heaters and gas heater that we ultimately had to turn on for some extra warmth. There is a washer/drier even though I think I missed that in the description. Would have appreciated a light over the sink. And, we couldn't get the ceiling fans to turn off. Not deal breakers and glad we stayed.

Stayed for two weeks while our oldest was in camp at the college there.

We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. It literally felt like time was standing still which was wonderful. We could walk to the causeway which was a bonus. We explored Burlington and the surrounding areas. There’s even a drive in movie theater down the road that we went to a couple Of times. The kids loved it. There’s also a great park down the road to take the kids to or to play tennis and pickle ball. The home is on a quite road and is across the street from the private beach. We had access to paddle boards and a kayak which was great. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks again for the use of your cottage!

We had a great stay!

The house suited our family of 4 perfectly. I did not feel it was clear from the listing that the beach access was across the street behind other homes. The lake is visible from the street and access is easy but we were not expecting that. We had a great time and enjoyed the paddle boards even in cold water. Definitely recommend.

A Perfect Retreat Close to Town

The little house by the water was relaxing, comfy, and close to everything while far enough away to give a sense of country quiet. The bed was comfortable and soft, the kitchen well-appointed and communication with Liz and Steve easy and always friendly. We miss it already. Neighbors were sweet and friendly. We spent lots of time sitting on the deck under the trees, watching rabbits run in and out of the garden. Groceries were easy to find nearby. Rozzi's Tavern down the street has really good burgers, go early though before the after-work crowd, because it gets busy. Sunset Drive-In around the corner was a wonderful way to spend an evening close to home. The house was beautiful, warm, and welcoming. We can't wait to go back!

Great cottage on the lake

We had a great stay. The cottage was cozy and a wonderful place to relax after sailboat racing all weekend. The space was fantastic for watching storms roll across the lake and comfortable for a pizza snd football evening. I would highly recommend this cottage. I would stay here again!
