Que vous soyez à la recherche de romance, une famille get-a-way, ou un pêche aventureux, la motoneige, ou un voyage d'ATV, cet endroit est fait pour vous! Ce charmant 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain maison se trouve dans la dernière chance, à moins d'un pâté de maisons de l'une des zones de pêche Premier ministre sur la fourchette d'Henry de la rivière Snake. Il est également à distance de route de West Yellowstone et l'entrée ouest du parc de Yellowstone.

Surnommé "Grandma Play House" par nos petits-enfants, il est un refuge préféré pour notre famille en toutes saisons. L'intérieur de la cabine est propre et confortable avec le pin rainure et languette à travers. L'étage principal dispose d'un espace de vie ouvert, cuisine et salle de bain avec une belle douche carrelée. Wifi et Dish Network sont disponibles, avec un lecteur DVD / VHS. Nous avons une variété de films que vous pouvez regarder. Plats et casseroles sont fournis, ainsi que tous les petits appareils ménagers habituels. gros appareils modernes font de la préparation des repas et le nettoyage en un tournemain. Il y a une rondelle de taille de l'appartement et sèche-linge dans le couloir que vous êtes invités à utiliser.

Ceci est une maison à deux niveaux avec les chambres et un espace ouvert à l'étage. Il y a une télévision et un lecteur DVD à l'étage. Un coffre à jouets remplis de jouets ajoute à l'attrait pour les enfants. Nous avons aussi un stylo de lecture si vous en avez besoin. Il y a un lit queen et un lit double dans les chambres à coucher. 2 lits simples et un futon sont situés dans la zone de loft.

Il y a un Campchef avec boîte de grill, table de pique-nique, et d'un foyer pour votre usage. Nombreuses places de parking pour vos véhicules et remorques.

Vous serez à distance de marche de Fork River de Henry et "Mountain Mayhem", un VTT, la dérive bateau, location de motoneige entreprise. Nous avons accès à une route pendant toute l'année. Montez sur votre 4-roues ou en motoneige droite de la maison. L'un des principaux sentiers qui traversent Island Park est près de la maison. Il n'y a pas besoin de remorque vos jouets sauf si vous voulez.

NE MANQUEZ PAS Mesa Falls. Faire de l'équitation à Harriman State Park. Visitez Big Springs. Vous pouvez louer un radeau à Mack Inn, et flotter la rivière. Pendant les mois d'été, terminez votre journée avec un spectacle au «Mack's Inn Play House» pour un merveilleux repas et une bonne comédie. Prenez une journée et se rendre à Quake Lake et Virginia City dans le Montana. Avant de quitter la région, ne manquez pas de conduire à Sawtelle pic pour des vues et des panoramas à ne pas oublier.

Il est environ 30 minutes à West Yellowstone et du parc national de Yellowstone. Beaucoup de nos locataires ont séjourné dans la cabine, a voyagé dans le parc pour la journée, est ensuite retourné à la cabine dans la soirée. La cabine est un endroit idéal pour retourner à, jeter un steak sur le gril, et regarder le soleil se coucher.

Attendez-vous à vivre une expérience western authentique en séjournant au Grandma's Play House. Nous sommes une famille de chasseurs et des photos de trophées d'animaux prises et de grands montures de jeu sont dans notre maison. We will be back!

We booked this home very last minute and the owner Wendy was very accommodating. This was our second stay here and we just love it. The location is great and the house is clean and spacious. The added bonus of toys for our little one makes it even better!

Pick somewhere else

The location isn’t great 30 minutes to west Yellowstone entrance, then another 30-60 minutes to the major sites. Listing sounds like it’s private and out in wilderness, it’s not neighbors on 3 sides very close. No chairs around fire pit, mouse traps in the kitchen gross. Place has so many dusty knickknacks everywhere, just not clean. Stripped the sheets off one bed at the end of our stay and found pillows were yellow and brown, totally disgusting. Cabinets are over filled with stuff you don't need and not organized. Also, all their old condiments, etc. are in the fridge and freezer. If you're going to rent out a house remove your personal stuff, food, pictures, etc. otherwise don't rent it.

I'm sorry you were disappointed in your stay. Our website clearly states we are 30 minutes from West Yellowstone. Obviously, when traffic is heavy, it can take longer. There is no where in our property description that suggests we are out in the wilderness. It states that we are within walking distance of other businesses. Thank you for letting me know about the pillows. We will certainly rectify that issue. As for the mouse traps, I prefer traps to mice. If there are condiments in the fridge, it is because other renters have left them. This is our 2nd home and has artwork and pictures in it. Perhaps you would be happier staying in a motel next time. If you had advised me of your displeasure upon your arrival, I would have refunded your money and you could have found somewhere else to stay. We don't expect our guests to stay if they are uncomfortable, but there is nothing we can do about it after the stay is completed.

Dark hunter's lodge

For a quick place to rest your head at night, this cabin would suffice. Wendy was very polite and easy to work with, as well. However, since we didn't see reviews that reflected our experience, our family felt our take on "Grandma's Playhouse" would be helpful to some. The downstairs living room is roomy, but very dark; the upstairs is dark, as well, with no windows in the loft area or one of the tiny rooms. The upstairs bathroom was sufficient, but very uncomfortable since we are tall and the ceiling slants down across the room. As a welcoming touch, rentals usually provide some fresh, little shampoos and soaps for you; the "Playhouse" had a basket of old, half-used mini bottles to pick through. Overall, the feeling in the house itself was dank and stuffy. What was completely unnerving to us -being animal lovers- was the profusion of death around the entire house: heads and carcasses and furs of beautiful animals were everywhere, as well as endless photos of proud hunters with their kills embellishing almost all the walls. For people who respect the lives of all living things it was an EXTREMELY upsetting environment...repugnant. There is really no designated yard to escape the inner death decor, either. There are just weeds around the house. There are basic cooking supplies, but the plates and cups are all plastic, too. I understand that a homeowner might prefer to supply renters with plastic, but it simply added to the unaesthetic atmosphere of the place. (We have almost always had rentals that have a decent, if not lovely, ambiance, with nice amenities and furnishings.) Basically, we couldn't wait to get out of there.

We regret that the renters had an unhappy experience. The house is built to be energy efficient, to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. That requires small windows on the main floor. It is, in fact, dim in the living room unless one turns the lights on, and even then it is not brightly lit. The upstairs is a loft area and has no dormers as can be seen from the photos that are posted. Lofts only allow for windows on each end. It also is dim. There are a total of 6 light fixtures in the open loft area, so "Dark and Dank" may be a bit of an exaggeration. It is a sleeping loft and bright lighting has never seemed necessary. Apparently it is a problem we need to address. The bathroom upstairs is small, but there is another perfectly adequate bathroom with 8 foot ceilings and a beautiful tile shower on the main floor. We do not provide little bottles of shampoo and lotion and conditioner that renters can take home with them. We provide full sized bottles of these products for our renters use. The dishes are, in fact, Corelle and melamine. We rent to many families with small children. We prefer dishes that are safe for them to use. We also regret the distress that our animal mounts and photos caused these renters. We are a family of hunters and fishermen. This cabin is our home. I will not apologize for my "decor" nor for our values. Our cabin is a homey, quaint cabin. It is not fancy; it is not aesthetically beautiful. It is comfortable and peaceful and a wonderful retreat from the outside world for a few short days. We have never represented our cabin to be anything but what it is.

Rude and unhelpful owners! Stay away and don't take chances!

The owners were RUDE and UNHELPFUL! The morning after the 1st night we found there was NO WATER AT ALL! We immediately called the local number listed on the booklet in the house. A woman named Kate answered the phone COLDLY and asked us to check a few things outside our house and the house right next to ours. She told us that it was her renting house and it shares the same well with ours. She also said that there was nobody renting hers at the moment. After we checked the few things with no indication of water, she said that it might be something wrong with the well and it may take thousands of dollars and days to repair. She said she would call a plumber and hopefully he would be able to come on the same day, but couldn't guarantee it. Obviously we asked alternative solutions if the water situation could not be fixed. Then she said that this kind of things was out of their control and there was NOTHING they could do!!! I'd also like to point out that even though her number is listed as a "local" contact, she told us that she was actually hours away, like the owners. Because of her unfriendly attitude, we called the owners and she did not answer, so we left a message. With this big cloud hanging over our mind, we went to the park. In the afternoon, we got in touch with the owner, Wendy. She was not genuinely apologetic either and said that a plumber went to the house and there was water, and nothing was wrong and she said that she did not understand what was going on in the morning. (It was not rocket science to tell whether there's water or not!) Then she said that there was people renting the house next door to us and they did not have water problem in the morning (trying to questioning our judgement again!). But we knew (and Kate told us, too) that there was nobody in that house in the morning! When we came back to our house, we saw people in the other house that must have arrived in the afternoon. We speculate that there might have been some circuit breaker problem in Kate's house that cause the well malfunction thus water problem and when the people who rented her house arrived in the afternoon, they probably reset the circuit breaker and the well went back to work. If Kate or the owners were local, the problem could have been solved on the spot in the morning!) The other thing is that their washer/dryer are extremely old and the washer does NOT work (we again reached out to Kate for this by phone but did not get any response!) STAY AWAY!!!!

Pavillon de chasse à l'écart des villes -

Notre expérience dans le logement de Wendy a été globalement bonne mais les couchages devraient être modifiés car les matelas ne sont pas de très bonne qualité. Explications pour le check in/out parfaites et détaillées. Logement spacieux et pas cher, salles de bain rénovées. Cuisine pas totalement propre et nappe en plastique assez vieillotte sur la table. Dernier point : attention : ce logement est à bien 45 mn de West Entrance ce qui rallonge une journée passée au Yellow Stone. Possibilité de se baigner dans la rivière d'à côté ce qui est rare aux US. Activité de paddle à 5mn.

Nice but beware no a/c

My wife and I stayed here and overall a nice clean place. Only 2 things we didn’t like, the upstairs stayed really hot at night even with the window open. Also after we got back from supper and ready for bed noticed back door had been unlocked upon arrival. Would consider staying here again but in the cooler months.

We are the Sears from Preston, which is located in the south east corner of Idaho. When we purchased the building in 2007, it was just a shell. Some sheet rock had been installed, but that was about it. During the summer of 2008, we pulled our trailer up and with the help of our sons spent nearly every weekend working on the cabin to get it habitable. Some of the sheet rock came down, some of the sheet rock upstairs we left (and should have pulled down). One son is an electrician and he and his son did all of the electrical work. Another son built the beautiful kitchen cabinets. All our boys helped with nearly every other facet of the construction. It has been a family project and labor of love and while it is has many imperfections, and is, in fact, still a work in progress in some areas, we love it and hope you will love it too.
My family are all avid hunters and the cabin is filled with photos of the animals they have hunted. If you are offended by hunting, this is not the cabin for you.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our family has always enjoyed traveling to Island Park for vacation. We often came up when our boys were small to go camping and fishing or to explore Yellowstone. We initially purchased this building as an investment, with the idea that we would finish it and resell it. Somehow, during the building process, there was a bonding that took place between our family and the house. It isn't just a house. It is a home filled with memories of birthday parties, Memorial Day Vacations, and New Year's Celebrations. One day while at the cabin with our family, I commented to my son, who incidentally lives 5 miles from me, that is was pretty funny that we had to travel 200 miles from home to spend time together. We do things at the cabin, as a family, that we don't take the time to do at home. "Grandma's Play House" has become a prized possession that we hope will stay in our family for generations to come.

We Love the Location of Our Cabin. Last Chance is a Great Place to Stay. It Isn't As Crowded As Some of the Other Areas in Island Park, Yet We Have a Grocery Store Close and Can Even Run 1/2 Mile Up to Buffalo Run for "perkies Pizza" When We Don't Feel Like Cooking. We Drive the Atv's and Snowmobiles Right Out of the Garage and Onto the Trail. We Love Visiting Mesa Falls and Taking the Road to the Top of Sawtelle Peak. We Love Being Just a Short Walk from the River. We Like to Take Walks in the Morning Or Evening and Watch the Deer Grazing Along the Roads and River. We Often See Moose Tracks in Our Yard, and Occasionally Are Fortunate Enough to Actually See the Moose Standing in Them! We Love Going On Evening Drives in Our Suv Along the Many Forest Service Roads and Watching for Wildlife. We Love Watching the Swans in the Winter As They Swim On the River. Our Cabin is Centrally Located to Everything We Love to Do. There is Never "nothing to Do" While We're at the Cabin. the Tv Seldom Gets Turned On. It's an Idyllic Escape from the Rest of the World.
