This rental was a cute A frame. It was spacious and met our needs as a place to relax and unwind after visiting Yellowstone each day. I would definitely consider staying there again when we return to the area.
This cabin is very cute and comfortable! Anytime we did need to contact the owners, they were super prompt and extremely helpful. We definitely plan on coming back!
The cabin was cute and cozy! Appreciated having a washer and dryer! Water pressure and temperature while showering was tempermental. AC downstairs didnt work great. Vent fan over stove smelled like old grease but kitchen was still functional!
The directions to the house were clear, and everything was exactly as pictured and described. The owners were very communicative before, during, and after our stay. We had an unfortunate incident where my youngest son accidentally locked the bathroom door, never having seen a pushlock next to a doorknob before, but the owner came out immediately and had the door opened again within half an hour. We were happy with the location, just enough away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy properties but still within a few miles of gas, groceries, and of course--Yellowstone! The property itself was older, as expected, but very clean and thoroughly stocked with dishes and cookware, as well as plenty of clean sheets and extra towels. The only issue we experienced was with the dishwasher, which apparently had a hoseline break or something during a previous renter's stay. It was a nonissue for us, we just hand washed the pots/pans and used as much paper plates as we could. The owner made us aware of the issue and was very apologetic, and even offered to have it fixed while we were there. However, we decided to let them have it repaired after our stay, as we didn't mind washing the few dishes we used anyway. We took a lovely walk just around the corner to the river and landed in a huge field of blooming wildflowers that smelled divine! I'd highly recommend taking a walk along the river's edge, but be sure to use bug spray first.
Very pleasant stay. Very comfortable and very nicely decorated house. Perfect for fishermen.
Could do with a second bathroom.
Would definitely stay there again when we come back.will recommend to friends.
Thank you.
Overall, The place was nice and comfy, but guests should be told l ahead of time that the stairway to all the bedrooms on the second floor is extremely steep. And all of the bedrooms are on the second floor with the only bathroom located downstairs. The younger people did fine, us great-grandparents, not so much!!
The bedrooms and beds were laid out great for big families. Exactly as described. For bigger or taller people, the shower is little cramped, but the hand shower helped. Everything else was perfect and everything you could need for a stay.
I loved this huge couch that reclines. It held most of our family. I also loved sitting out on the deck drinking my coffee and listening to birds while reading my prayers. Peace and quiet compared to staying in a noisy motel, this is the best hands down. I didn't realize that the emergency service ship was near by. But...so is the library. YAY!
Great quiet place to stay with the fam. Everyone had their own room. Was close to Henryâs fork river to fish. 40 minutes from Yellowstone. Rented tubes and floated the river. 20 minutes from Mesa Falls. Had a great vacation with lots of adventures.
I hate leaving reviews that are not âExcellentâ, but I had to let people know. First of all, everything in the description of the property is correct, I was not misled at all. It was just the little things that made me post this review. My first impression of the property was of me coming in after dark and losing skin on my shin because of the gap in the front stairs, and the outside light being out. The neighborhood is a little sketchy as the sheriffs were at the neighbors twice, and the vehicles coming and going at all hours of the night. The BBQ grill needs a good degreasing as it caught fire 3 times from the food we were cooking. The water pressures coming out of the kitchen and shower faucet were very low, that was corrected by cleaning the filters, not a big deal. The shower was interesting because of the A Frame beams, you have to use the handheld shower head because you canât lean under with the beam in the way. All negatives aside, the cabin was nice. All the rooms were clean and the furnishings were very nice. Just wish the ice maker worked in the refrigerator. The cabin was lower priced compared to the other ones in the area, so I wasnât expecting a 5 star resort. BUT it was close to everything, plenty of sleeping space, very nice sectional couch, very large TV, and the internet worked well enough to stream and surf at the same time. This is why I gave it 4 stars. And I think there has to be a law against not having a potato masher in the state of Idaho.
A great location close to Yellowstone Park! Fully stocked kitchen! One more bathroom would have been nice but we managed. The address and GPS directions didn't match but we found it easily enough! Thanks for a good experience!!!
I am a lover of the outdoors. I enjoy reading, kayaking, fishing, roadtrips, and traveling. I'm also a mother of 3 busy kids! I enjoy making soap, and visiting natural hotsprings.
Walking distance to Herny's Forl portion of the Snake River. Beautiful Mountain Views, wildlife may be present, washer and dryer, full bath and kitchen, awesome patios with grill and firepit.
