What looks like a shack on the outside has everything and more including character on the inside. Great accomodation and a perfect view. Walk to the beach and into Wye for great coffee and friendly service. Loved it!
Great traditional style beach house, plenty of space for a big group! The most amazing views you could ask for too. We had a fire, used the bbq and had plenty of good times. Would stay again!!
Lovely short stay with family and best friends. Dog friendly house (not fenced). Great fire and the house is wonderfully warm. Comfortable house and beds. Can't fault that superb view (when the rain lifts!).
Great location and views. Great with kids, low maintenance and even nicer to bring the family dog. Property was clean and well appointed. Could have a few more tea towels and basics such as salt and sugar.
The photos do not do this house justice! Amazing views and everything we needed for a relaxed beach holiday. Highlights were watching the ocean from the couches, feeding the birds, exploring the beach and cooking up meals in the kitchen. The open fire was awesome on the colder nights. I hope to stay again.
Beautiful views. A great house with plenty of room for the whole adult family. Great rear deck very useful for offloading sandy or wet gear. Well kitted out with everything we needed for Christmas lunch. Will be back.
We enjoyed our stay. A magnificent view short walk to the beach. The kids loved feeding the birds.
Good.
The carpet was wet when we arrived which we thinking was from cleaning as it dried overnight with the heaters on there is also a crack in the glass window near the dining table
We had a great time and would happily go back. It's not fancy, but with three children that was upside for us. Open plan layout, nice dark bedrooms and awesome views from the balcony were our favourite things. Wifi would have been icing on the cake, but phone reception was good. A+
Great open plan layout with everything needed in the kitchen to cook up a storm for a large group. The views from balcony and living area is first class. Sep creek beach is a real escape from the crowds, but if you like the crowds and the hype, just a 10 minute stroll to Wye along gorgeous rock pools is right there. The 4 bedrooms all offered something special and the second fridge was a real bonus. Loved the sea-fearing and maritime decor throughout the house. This is your old fashioned beach house, not modern home beautiful, but it works so well and feels like a real no frills beach holiday with views to die for.
With only 1 bathroom we took a hose and spray head to set up an outdoor shower for those returns from the beach covered in sand, but no outdoor tap was available, due to the property being serviced by tank water only. A minor inconvenience, we set up a tub of water and bath mat on the deck to wash off before entering the house.
It says dog friendly, but be aware that there is absolutely no fencing on this property - so a well behaved dog and people committed to taking their dog for several walks a day is needed. Our pooch loved the deck and views and felt like king of the castle up there looking over his kingdom.
I really think linen should be provided at no extra charge - the extra load in your car is huge and really, what does one or 2 washes cost in the big picture?
We look forward to staying again.
Without question, the views are spectacular. However the property was not cleaned prior to our arrival (toilet seat dirty, mouse dropping on cushion, dead fly on tv console, insect debris in bathroom & downstairs bed). In addition, privacy an issue as 2 men (owner/builder?) on site at 8:45pm talking to each other about progress of deck being built on lower floor.
The panoramic view is spectacular. However the property was not cleaned prior to our arrival (toilet seat dirty, mouse dropping on cushion, dead fly on tv console, insect debris in bathroom & downstairs bed). The owners appear to be building a new deck on the lower floor, and at 8:45pm (dusk) on Saturday night, 2 men appeared on the deck and spent 5-10 minutes there talking to each other about itâs progress. They were aware the place was occupied as I made direct eye contact with one of them but he made no effort to move away. It is not unreasonable when paying X dollars for the privilege of renting a place to expect sole occupancy. I thought it an outrageous breach of privacy.
The photos do not do justice to the fantastic view. The house is clean, spacious and well appointed. Great covered deck at the back of the house for those rainy days. I have rented many houses in the area but will stop looking for the perfect house now I have found this one!
Lots of breakfasts, wines and teas enjoyed on the balcony overlooking the beach. Nice walk along the beach to reach Wye River pub and General Store. Super clean and cosy feel- plenty of firewood. The place was bathed in light and it just felt lovely being in the house- we were able to enjoy the beauty of the location without leaving the house- this was great considering we had babies with us.
We stayed here as our base for the Amy Gran Fondo and it suited us perfectly. Short ride/drive to Lorne with fantastic views. House was well organised with everything we needed and plenty of fire wood for the cold nights.
Downstairs rooms were a bit musty.
We have rented this home a few times a year for the last 2-3 years. Our family love it and it is large enough for friends to come and stay also. The views are fantastic no matter the weather and we love the quiet Separation Creek location with a short walk for a coffee at Wye. A regular favourite for us. Well set up home with all the things you need.
