Plenty of room for our crew of six. Loved the pool table and dart boards. Place was very clean and the owners were very pleasant to deal with. We have to go back to work at Mississippi State next month and will definitely be staying there.
We needed a place to stay while one of our pups had surgery at the vet college. The cabin was perfect! So peaceful and well appointed yet convenient to the school and restaurants. Highly recommend!
We had an incredible weekend getaway at the cabin! The service was excellent, and Mr. Russell went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The cabin was cozy, well-maintained, and the perfect escape . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend!
This location was great being roughly only a few miles from the MS State campus which made it convenient to just drive over and attend the events we needed to be at. The home was well cared for and clean, and owner responses to questions were very prompt.
If you are looking for an excellent property close to MSU campus look no further. Clean and tidy with all amenities in working order. Would definitely stay again
I recently stayed at this amazing cabin, and it was truly a perfect getaway! The cabin was cozy, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by stunning nature. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the comfortable furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to relax, and I especially enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the evenings.
This cabin was the perfect spot for our game day weekend. It was close enough to get to campus quickly but far enough to get away from all of the traffic. I definitely recommend staying here if you need a spot for two/three couples with kids.
Mother-Daughter trip. Cute cottage. Quiet evenings on the porch just to enjoy each otherâs company. Fur babies loved the country setting too! Close to excellent restaurants and University.
The house was very nice. It is an older place which isnât a problem other than a lack of convenient receptacles. I would definitely stay there again, itâs very accessible to Starkville.
Amy and I were both born and raised here in Starkville, MS. We both attended high school at Starkville schools, then continued our education at Mississippi State. After graduating, I began my career in the automotive collision repair industry, and Amy attended The Cayce Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, VA. Amy has been self employed as a massage therapist for 15 years, and I now own Advanced Collision Repair in Starkville. We have 3 young children, and love to travel and discover new places. We enjoy staying in cabins and houses that we find on VRBO, and we are excited to have the opportunity to share our retreat with others.
The land the cabin is on first belonged to my grandfather. He sectioned off the 8 acres and gave it to his sister so she could have a place to build outside of town to get away. Louise and Kenneth Pyron built the cabin on the property in 1968 where Louise would come to paint and read, and Kenneth would come to work on woodworking projects in the adjacent shop. When Louise and Kenneth passed away the cabin went through several hands, until 2010 when Amy and I had the chance to purchase it to reclaim and restore it for what the property was originally intended. We love this property and are excited to share this peaceful retreat with others.
