The property was great, everything we needed was supplied. Nicky was an absolute dream to deal with. We stayed for my sons wedding in Dromana. Just a perfect weekendâ€ïž
Navy No. 9 is a clean, tidy and well-appointed house which could be configured to suit a larger family or two families with 4 children or less. We only stayed for four nights but could easily have stayed longer. A short drive to two lovely beaches and Mount Martha's terrific cafes, restaurants and excellent supermarket. Has everything you could need for a family beach escape. The only downside was that the bushfire smoke prevented us from enjoying the view from the deck. The owner/s have really thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
We had a great weekend celebrating the New year. This home is very clean but the air-conditioner couldnât cope with the heat. We couldnât open our bedroom window to let in the night air and the rear of the house was extremely hot. Nikki replied to my inquiry quickly and professionally.
The house was exactly as expected. Our two dogs just loved running around the fully danced back garden and enjoyed sitting by the front window just looking out. Great location for the dog beach too. Will be going back for sure!
The house was immaculately cleaned and presented. It is a beautiful location and home!
Nikki was so friendly and easy to communicate with, would happily stay here again!
Beds were so so so comfortable, we did not want to leave!
Things that could be improved: there was no broom, drying rack for dishes, no oven trays. Just little things, they did not hugely impact on our wonderful stay.
Really enjoyed it and we will be back soon! Thank you for your hospitality Nikki!
We enjoyed our weekend away at this property. It had a well-equipped kitchen, comfy lounge space and the furnishings made it feel like you were in a home and not a rental.
The yard was big and great for our dogs, the only downside was we couldnât find any outdoor lighting for the yard and the great deck area.
The main bedroom was a good size, we didnât need to use any of the other bedrooms.
Nikki was lovely to deal with, she responded quickly to phone calls and emails and gave us some great suggestions of places to eat and visit for our weekend.
A lovely classic property - excellent location, good facilities and friendly hosts!
A lovely property ... basic but functional!
The hosts were friendly reached out and did everything possible to make our stay a pleasure! The fresh produce to get us started on arrival was a treat!
The property is basic - new TV and wifi are great features. Single airconditoner really struggled in the heat ... and the house became very walm.
The kitchen is the most challenging part of the property - particularly the absence of a dishwasher and the rather impractical sink!
The bathroom is functional but basic - one shower and toilet - without separation made it a bit challenging with a family.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 were small but very functional and adequate! The master had lovely views.
The new deck area was superb - lovely vista at the back of the house and very functional - we used the barbecue and ate outside most nights - except in the extreme weather.
A great functional property - which was really pleasant - a few simple things would turn it into an amazing property.
Would we stay again - 100%!
Thanks to Nikki for being amazing hosts!
The house was great to stay at very home feeling and welcoming . Had a big backyard for the pups to run around and stretch their feet also great decking area for us to relax and enjoy the outdoor air.
Thank you Nikki and your partner for allowing us to stay over the weekend will highly recommend this holiday home.
What a lovely place..
Awesome decking located at the rear of the property with amazing views.
Fantastic get away for our family. Very close to the beach with shops just down the road.
The owner Nikki was in contact when needed and was great to deal with.
We shall return.
Myself and 6 other friends came up to Mount Martha for a weekend away and really enjoyed our stay in Navy No. 9. The cottage was just enough space for us and the air conditioning was effective in the main area of the house despite how hot it was. The cottage was very clean and we were happily treated to a box of favourites chocolates in the fridge upon arrival which we smashed in about 2 minutes. We were also provided with a couple of essentials like Vegemite, butter, jam and tomato sauce which was really convenient. The addition of having Netflix on the TV also was great and something we got good use out of. Being high up, the view outside of the main windows at the front of the house was really nice. The room with 2 bunk beds was quite small, so we opted to move our mattresses from that room onto the carpet in the main corridor with the window with the great view in front of us.
The cottage was in a nice quiet area and took us about 10 minutes to walk to Safety Beach (which we didn't mind at all). It was a little inconvenient if we wanted to venture further out into different areas as buses where the the only form of public transport, and they only came every 1-1.5 hours and rarely operated past around 10pm.
The owner, Nikki, provided great communication prior, during and following our stay. She allowed us to check in earlier than originally planned which was great and due to late transport we were stuck in Mount Martha for a few hours longer than we were asked to initially check out, and she was very understanding of this and allowed us to hang out at the cottage until we were able to head home. Her and her husband David were very warm and welcoming upon arrival.
Overall we had a great time in Navy No. 9, and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to stay for a few nights on the Peninsula.
