Ce très grand appartement de deux étages est vraiment unique. Il occupe deux étages, avec trois chambres et une salle de bains au deuxième étage et une cuisine, salle à manger, salle de bain et une grande salle au premier étage. La grande salle est haute de deux étages avec un escalier enveloppant exposée. Le bâtiment conserve encore il est planchers d'origine de bois d'érable, à l'exception de l'une des chambres, qui est recouvert de moquette. Les deux étages ont privés porches 4-saison sur le devant de l'immeuble. La porte arrière donne sur une belle et grande terrasse en cèdre plutôt sur deux niveaux. Certains off-street parking est disponible à l'arrière de l'immeuble ainsi.

Il ya une chambre de maître avec un lit king size, TV par câble et il est propre 4-saison porche privé. Les deux autres chambres sont sensiblement plus petits et disposent de lits queen size.

Les deux salles de bains ont été récemment refaite à neuf et en vedette certains belles pierres et les armoires personnalisées. La cuisine a reçu les comptoirs de granit dans le même temps, et dispose d'un grand réfrigérateur / congélateur, cuisinière à gaz, micro-ondes, cafetière et grille-pain. Il est également équipé d'une batterie de cuisine, vaisselle et ustensiles. L'appartement a ses propres machines à laver, qui sont situés hors de la cuisine. La salle à manger est immédiatement adjacente à la cuisine et dispose d'un porche privé 4 saisons ci-joint.

La grande salle est une partie de ce qui rend cette location si unique. Il dispose d'un plafond de 20 pieds avec un escalier ouvert qui enveloppe au deuxième étage. Il est le salon de l'appartement et dispose de sièges confortables avec une grande télévision à écran plat. Il a aussi un divan-lit.

L'appartement est équipé avec connexion haut débit sans fil à Internet, la télévision par câble et d'un système de chauffage et de climatisation dédié avec son propre thermostat qui le locataire a le contrôle sur.

Cette location occupe les deux étages de la moitié sud du bâtiment, et était à l'origine deux appartements, qui ont été convertis en une seule unité extra large. Les clients ont trois portes privées à l'appartement: portes étage avant première et deuxième, qui mènent dans une cage d'escalier commune avec l'autre unité dans le bâtiment, et une porte arrière, qui donne sur le pont de cèdre.

Great Place in the Twin Cities

This place is perfect, especially for two couples. Location is ideal near Uptown and everything was nicely arranged.

Steve's group were great guests. I only met two of them, as I had a family emergency that took me away from the property shortly after the first two people arrived. They were friendly and seemed to really like the place. They left the property in good condition and everything went smoothly. I'd welcome them back anytime.

Perfect spot to stay

Very nice space, very clean and well managed.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The space is very large, open and appealing. The owner couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. The house is a short 2 block walk from a very interesting restaurant district. We would definitely stay again.

Mike met us for the check in process and walked us around. The place is as described. We had 3 couples and there is plenty of room. Overall for the price I would recommend.

A short stay in Minneapolis

We were happy with our stay from the minute we arrived. Our host was there to meet us and walked us through everything we needed to know. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels. It was an easy walk to many nice restaurants and we went for a nice walk to the lakes areas which was absolutely beautiful. We would stay here again

Nicely restored home

We had a wonderful stay at this home in the Whittier neighborhood. Great location just to the south of downtown Minneapolis. We walked to Lake of the Isles; ran along the Midtown greenway; meandered through a nearby Farmer's Market; and ate meals at restaurants in the neighborhood. Very nice place to stay. The host was helpful, flexible, and friendly.

Great rental in MLPS

We had a great time staying at Mike's VRBO, its location is only a few blocks off of Nicollet (Eat Street) and an easy walk to great food. The place is bigger then the pictures show, gave us tons of space for spreading out and feeling comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet. I would highly recommend staying with Mike, who was awesome to work with during our stay!

Large 3 bedroom 2 bath walking distance to many great establishments.

Rented the three bedroom condo which was in walking distance to many restaurants, stores and bars. Mike was more than accomidating. We were there for a long weekend. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you!

Spacious yet Private

This property is absolutely wonderful. It’s a great location for a weekend in Minneapolis with friends. Close to many attractions and fun restaurants. The downstairs space is open and wonderful for gathering for movies or games, while the rooms allow you wonderful privacy while still being very bright and open. If you love craftsman style wood work you’ll love this place! Along with a lovely host, will absolutely be booking here again.

Great Rental

The apartment was great, plenty of supplies, linen, and toiletries. Several eateries within a mile or so. We got lucky with prime parking right in the front of the complex every night. I would definitely recommend this rental for a short or long stay. :)

This is a pleasant large space in a good walkable neighborhood. House is clean and well-equipped with all the basics. Quiet street. Easy access to downtown, lakes, and right next to Eat Street. Was hard to find choices in Minneapolis that sleep this many people and this was very good for seven people having a long weekend.

A beautiful place, in a great foodie/drinkie location, with a wonderful host

the duplex is a beautifully restored small apartment building that dates back many years. The reconstruction resulted in a 3 bedroom 'house' with a spacious kitchen, great room, and porches. The Master BR is so large and the bed very comfortable. Mike is a gracious host and is ready to provide local info about a lot of topics. A great stay and I highly recommend to families and groups.

Great location, clean and well appointed!!

Mike as a great host. He checked in with us, made sure we had any questions answered, and wanted to make our stay comfortable! The home was very spacious and well furnished...nice for our family get together to celebrate a retirement! The location was perfect with restaurants within two blocks in two directions...also very close to MIA (we walked)...and convenient to downtown! THANK YOU!

Great Place, Exactly as Photographed

Mike was a great host. He was flexible and super quick to respond to questions. He stocked the apartment with a few tasty goodies! The beds were comfortable. The location is great. We walked to several restaurants in the area and enjoyed all of them. Its an easy drive to the airport and downtown. The space worked well for two couples and two small children. I'm looking forward to staying on my next trip to Minneapolis.

Amazing space!

This was an amazing space for our Minneapolis visit. The space is very large with great bedroom sizes, a nice kitchen and dining room, and living area. The parking spaces in the back were very nice for our two families. Mike was very accomodating and had some special touches when we arrived. He ensured we had everything we needed upon arrival. Don't hesitate to rent this space - from the artwork touches to the many living spaces, it is worth every penny!

Perfect!

We were in Minneapolis to watch some baseball and this location was perfect! $10 Uber ride to Target Field. The rental was so spacious the 4 of us were very comfortable. It was clean and had all the necessities. It is a very quiet neighborhood which was a blessing. The fresh squeezed OJ and crossaints were a nice touch. If I am ever in town again I would absolutely stay here again. It was just lovely.

Beautiful place in great location

I, my wife, daughter and her friend stayed in this spacious well decorated 3 bedroom 2 bath unit in a great location to visit the Minneapolis area during spring break. The neighborhood has many unique restaurants and stores in walking distance and only a 15 minute drive to University of Minnesota and Mall of America. There is street parking available and also an off street parking spot in the back of the unit. The owner, Mike, is very hospitable and knowledgeable of the Minneapolis area and is great wealth of information on local attractions and things to do.

Beautiful property in an ideal neighborhood

We used the whole house and it was great for our family celebration. I only wished I had known about the extra charge for additional people. Also, it would have been nice to have a BBQ on that great deck and I wish there had been a dishwasher. However, we had fun and the enclosed porches were all used.

You're not the first guests not to notice it. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of changing how the information regarding rates is displayed on the VRBO site. I'm sorry it was a surprise for you. Regarding you desire to have a BBQ on the deck, that would have been fine with me. I have a grill. I keep it in the garage. If you had informed me as to your desire to use it, I would have been happy to roll it out for you. The fact that I have a grill for guests to use and also the absence of a dishwasher, are pieces of information that are also included in the listing. I know there's a lot there and most people to go through it all. I feel bad that these three issues negatively impacted you experience.

Nice duplex, nice neighborhood

The property was very clean and quiet. It is very close to many restaurants on Nicollet Av. (Eat Street) which is a walkable distance. The only issue we had was with the kitchen. There is no dishwasher. It is small and may be difficult to cook if for more than a couple people. We didn't eat in much, so it was OK for us.

I'm what you might call an artistic type. I actually made the door in this photo. I'm a Classically trained composer and have strong ties to the arts community here. I've made a living as a composer and audio producer for over 30 years. I'm also rather "outdoorsy". I am intimately familiar with the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota and have biked hundreds of miles of trails in the state. I love exploring and am always looking for new bike trails and restaurants. I also love to cook.

I chose to live in this part of town because it just feels right to me. It's old. It has character. The boulevard trees are large and mature. Great restaurants. Beautiful old parks. The lakes. The bike trails. A vibrant arts scene. Many small independent businesses. Close to everything. The building is original to the site and is over 100 years old. I like that it's large. It was originally constructed as a 5-plex and has been many things over the past century, including a rooming house. It was converted to a duplex right before I purchased it, at which time it received all new wiring, plumbing and heating/air conditioning. This neighborhood has many old large houses and mansions. Most of them had been all broken up into multiple units, but as the area gentrified, these stately old homes have gradually been bought-up and converted back to single occupancy residences. I was fortunate to have gotten in near the beginning of the gentrification upswing.

I sold the building to it's current owner in the Fall of 2019, and moved to my new home, which is located about eight blocks away. So, I'm still in the neighborhood and close by if there is anything your require.

Close to Downtown. Close to Uptown. Close to the Lakes. It hits the sweet spot. People throw around the word "unique" pretty loosely, but this property truly does earn that description. Just ask any appraiser I've had look at the property. They can never find comparables to include in their appraisals. That uniqueness is part of what attracted me to the property. Though it is conventional in many respects, it's size and layout do make it stand out – particularly the large two-story great rooms in both units. If I had to choose one attribute of this building that really made me want to acquire it, other than the neighborhood itself, it would be the great rooms. They are not original to the house. They were created by removing the second floor and some of the interior walls in the back part of the building. It's a rather striking effect.
