This was a perfect getaway for us. The property is just as described. It was clean and the pictures are all accurate. The view is amazing! We will be back.
We rented this cabin for the ultimate âsocial distancingâ getaway and it didnât fail us. The property definitely has a million dollar view. The road going up to the cabin was a little nail biting at first but after driving it once it wasnât bad. The cabin was everything we were hoping for and more. The house was clean and well stocked! We had fun playing pool! The deck is covered so you can enjoy even if you have a rainy day! Sitting in the hot tub at night looking over that view was incredible. Make sure you get up early enough to watch the sunrise... it definitely wonât disappoint you!!!
When they say Amazing Views theyâre not kidding. Breathtaking!
On a clear sunny day, the views of the valley are great. But when the fog and clouds move in and out at night ... it is really breathtaking. The lights from the Island area defract through the cloud layer below and produces an effect that you just have to see. Only drawback is the âroadâ up the side of the mountain. It is paved, but very tight and steep. I have a 4WD and it was challenged on a couple of turns. Snow, no way! Need a real off-road capable vehicle.
Amazing view in a great cabin, but wifi needs help
Bearly Paradise was a great cabin, one of the best weâve ever stayed in. It is a ârealâ log cabin and not one of those that just has wooden log strips nailed to the walls. It has an amazing view of Pigeon Forge, yet itâs only 5-10 minutes away. There amenities are fairly standard (hot tub, pool table), but nice, and the big TV in the living room is nice.
The only downsides to this cabin were 1) the upstairs bedroom was warm at night and the fan couldnât be adjusted, so I slept without covers or just a light sheet, and 2) the wifi was so slow as to basically be useless. I would have switched to cell service, but you get such poor reception on the top of the hill that itâs not any better. We had two kids trying to play on devices and laptops when we werenât out enjoying the town, but they ran into trouble at times. I ran a couple of speed tests on it, and none were above 5 Mbps.
Still, we will probably come back here due to the quality of the cabin and the view, and the proximity to Pigeon Forge.
First off, you can book through Timber Tops which is cheaper and who communicates with you. Location is perfect and view is beautiful. Itâs an authentic log cabin. Feels cozy. Outdoor seating is good. The hot tub needs to be replaced and thatâs my husbandâs biggest reason for booking a cabin. Cabin needs a deep cleaning. Shower upstairs appears to be leaking to the downstairs shower. Towels are terrible. Bring your own. The cabin is hot, especially the upstairs. It would be nice to have a gas grill because it rained all week. If these things were fixed I would give a 5 star review.
If you like the mountains, then this is beautiful place for views and bears. My husband and I are use to city life. So, pretty stressful because of bears. But really nice to see them.
The cabin was excellent the location and view were spectacular. The pool table was an excellent source of family fun at night. Great place to stay. The only issue was that there was no Internet as there was a system problem. I would stay here again but would check on the Internet first if it was important.
