Il s'agit d'une propriété unique construite en 2007. La maison comprend des plafonds en treillis en acier de 13 pieds de haut avec isolation R65 et climatisation centrale, éclairage industriel RLM, vaste menuiserie détaillée en bois dur de style victorien, comptoirs en granit, sol en érable partout, salle de bains en carreaux de céramique avec grande douche pour 2 personnes, luminaires Kohler, meubles en cuir, Téléviseur HD HD 4K 65 pouces avec Blue Ray, CD, DVD, etc.
Les amateurs de radio Internet adoreront le récepteur AV réseau Denon X1000 avec système surround Klipsch. Il y a une laveuse et une sécheuse à chargement frontal sur place en plus d'une terrasse au 2e étage (avec des meubles rembourrés en osier) qui ouvre la petite chambre.

We loved our stay - the location was great and the property was clean and well cared for. There is an excellent ice cream shop and bakery within walking distance that my kids loved visiting and everyone was very friendly and helpful with property questions.

We really enjoyed our stay here. First it is conveniently located to many different activities in and around Traverse City. It's in a neighborhood setting which we wanted, not in a condominium type of building. The availability of the garage is an added bonus, quite large - it easily fit a long wheel base pickup truck. The kitchen was very nicely equipped and very functional. Very comfortable furniture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will definitely rent again. Communications with the owner are excellent - super guy to work with.

Perfect spot for our guests

Our friends came to stay for a long weekend, and we wanted them to have their own space away from the chaos of our kid- and pet-filled home to enjoy their time in TC. This home was perfect! Very convenient for downtown TC, with access to all of the great restaurants and shops. It was very nice to be able to pull a car into the garage - I could see this being a big advantage for winter guests. The home was quite clean and well-appointed, and all appliances worked perfectly. It does take a moment to get used to squirrels dropping acorns on the metal roof though! All in all, it was a great spot, and we would definitely rent it again.

Spacious, clean, easy. Location only fair

James was very easy to correspond with and arriving and departing were no problem. Garage for car, spacious, clean. From prior reviews it appeared to be a very walkable, central neighborhood, but in our opinion that wasn't necessarily the case. The immediate neighborhood was a bit odd and felt sort of fringe-ey, so while it was in close enough proximity to the things we wanted to do, it wasn't a place we felt we wanted to walk from or hang around outside at, and this surprised us based on prior reviews.

A Wonderful Place to Stay in Traverse City

We had a great time staying at this VRBO and would recommend to anyone! The location was great - 15 minute walk to downtown Traverse City. Also only 2 blocks to the grocery store. Great location for seeing other destinations nearby Traverse City - during our stay we also explored Sleeping Bear Dunes (~30 minute drive) and Charlevoix (~ 1 hour drive). The property was very clean, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, garage parking - everything you could want. James was a great host and easy to communicate with.

WOW! Beautiful Home and available host!

James was available for our every beck and call. He built this place himself. Who who expect such a beautiful VRBO. Number one, it was spotless and everything was like new. And I would have never expected such attention to detail! Beautiful Wainscoting, gorgeous doors, really unique wood steps with lights in them as you come in from the garage. It was in the most perfect location! My daughter could sit on the upper deck, but she preferred sitting on the driveway watching the Blue Angels perform. It was close enough to ride her bike to town, which she did. He had a HUGE garage that she kept her truck in, or any other recreational vehicles you had could fit in there. AND, my soon to be 20yo grandson said he had an awesome sound system. We can’t wait to rent this gem again!

Summer Trip to Sleeping Bear & Traverse City

This property was a great base camp for our time in Traverse City. It’s only a couple of minutes from Front Street by car, and was easy to access the highway to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. There is also a grocery store and bakery just down the street.

Traverse City Fun

Property is a 20 minute walk to the restaurants and stores. Perfect to burn a few calories to earn desert. Property manager was very efficient answering my questions before and during our visit. It was an unusual hot week when we visited and the air conditioning works spot on in the property. Excellent property manager + delightful property = a wonderful time.

Fantastic Traverse City Getaway

My wife and two kids (14 and 8) spent a week at Jim's property and it was a perfect place. Great location, a few min drive to Front Street / downtown TC and the bay area. The house has everything you'd need, the beds are comfy, and the location is quiet and relaxing. Great back and forth communications with Jim, including recommendations! We'd definitely stay here again.

As a retired tradesman and an admirer of Victorian architecture found throughout the downtown Traverse City area, my wife and I created this home to appear as if it was here from the beginning. It would have been far easier and cost effective to create a less detailed, "cheaper" structure. We dont believe that is in the best interest of the City we admire or the architectural style featured so prominently in the downtown residential areas

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property as purchased in 2007 featured an aging small Victorian style frame home. After a fair amount of anguish and a whole lot of consideration over renovation versus demolition and rebuilding, the latter won out. The home we created is exactly what we envisioned to be a highly detailed, energy efficient, spacious, multi-use, in-town get-away. The proximity to downtown and the walking distance to shopping and night life make it all worthwhile.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When sitting on the deck you will find yourself wondering, as we do, just how old is the giant white oak tree which surrounds you? What you wont realize is how much debate went into building this home in a manner which saved half of this tree. In order to build this size home far enough off the alley pushed us up against an grand old White Oak tree that we treasured. The compromise was to remove half of the tree and then design a deck which would save the remaining half. We did that and both the tree and the building are better off for it.
