Great location, great amenities & very helpful staff. The unit it self was a little dated & the carpets in the bedrooms was old & beaten up.

September 2019 Stay

We enjoyed our stay. 1st trip to Hawaii for our 27th anniversary. We found unit 817 to be comfortable and cozy for 4 Adults. Clean neat quiet and convenient to shops and sights. Would definitely come back and stay in this unit.

Very nice

Great location, best rooftop in Waikiki

Was easy to book and we had no issues during our stay. We were happy that there were beach chairs, snorkel equipment and lots of beach towels (we didn’t need that many).

Convenient location-right price

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a good experience staying in this unit. Very convenient to Waikiki, where we needed to be. Due to the location, it is somewhat noisy with the traffic on Ala Wai Blvd, but the two bedroom/ two bath with small kitchen was perfect for our stay. Big plus having parking and a market down the block. The pool on the top floor was refreshing and the view spectacular.

Waikiki Holiday

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was great to have our own space and this apartment was ideal as not too far away from the main streets/shopping etc.. The only thing I noticed in Waikiki is that the Ambulances/Fire Engines/Police Cars are constant and sirens blazing.. however this is all over Waikiki.. the Security staff in this building were fabulous and we felt safe at all times

A special place!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was great and as advertised. Contact with staff and getting in was smooth. Place was spotless. Customer service was excellent and I would recommend this to anyone. One benefit was the corner location which gave great views of the canal side. The roof was an additional benefit (loved the pool) and a wonderful place to watch a sunset.

Appreciated the beach chairs and gear. Location central to shops, restaurants, and beach. All within walking distance. Couple of minor negatives the beds are rather hard and the hallway definitely smelled funky.

Great Choice for Family with Older Teens

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Having their own bedroom (with twin beds) and bath made this stay very comfortable for our older teens - and for us! The condo was well equipped, clean and conveniently located. (I also liked looking out at the Ala Wai canal and golf course on one side - not just other skyscraping buildings.) Grocery shopping at Safeway on Kapahulu Ave is a short drive, as is Leonard's Bakery (Since 1952!) for malasadas at breakfast. Jessica from Captain Cook Resorts was great to work with, we would definitely recommend this unit for Honolulu stays!

Nice condo, inept property management

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was clean and comfortable. Washer/dryer could be better. Beds just ok., but comfortable enough. Decor is as in pictures, not dated or worn. Well supplied with towels and beach items. Great location--walking distance to beach and shops. Nice view of canal. Ali Wai is a busy road---LOTS of sirens. Traffic noise. May want higher level condo if sensitive. Good security. Property management---what can I say??? Too much to write in one review. Communication confusing on many levels.

Our stay at Fairway Villa #817

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our seven night stay at Fairway Villa #817. It was extremely convenient to Waikiki beach, only two block walk. The roof offered a great view of the ocean and a 360 degree view of everything. If you want a quick dip in the pool or to grill you can find both on the roof. In the lobby there is a security guard and a Official mail drop. Unit #817 was cozy and comfortable and we really enjoyed having a washer/ dryer in the unit. Having two rooms gave us space and plenty of room to relax. The parking space was perfect and convenient...but only for a small car or small SUV. We enjoyed walking to dine and shop close by. There is an ABC grocery store and a whalers grocery store within a block or two. The next time we’re in Waikiki we would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: 立地は最高、プールやサウナがあるのもよかったです。ロビーマンもとても親切でした。ただ、お部屋の清掃はあまり綺麗にされていませんでした。ベッドの下に前の宿泊者が残したごみ袋が残っていたり、薬のタブレットが落ちていたりしました。小さい子供と一緒だったので、薬が落ちていたのは大変危険でした。それ以外はとてもよかったです。

Fairway Villas experience

Reviewer Comments: good location - close to Waikiki Beach and was within walking distance of area restaurants. don't leave food anywhere but in the refrigerator as small roaches abound if you do!

Our units are regularly treated to be completely roach free, but if any roaches do appear between treatments we immediately call in an exterminator.

Waikiki condo, walk everywhere

The unit was clean and had new towels and linen,. we loved the short walk to all the popular waikiki restaurants and shopping. The beach chairs provided were in great condition along with the beach towels. Also, having a washer and dryer in the unit was great since we were there for 15 days. I rented a full size Chevy Impala and had no trouble parking in the parking stall which had been described as a small stall for a compact car. I will definitely use this location again in the future.

Fairway Villa 817

Nice condo in a really convenient location. Noisy Ala Wai Blvd location and could really use some new double pane windows, instead of louvers. Condo in good shape and provided beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella. You need to supply your own condiments, spices, etc, which I expect at any condo, and anyone who doesn't should stay at a hotel. My two biggest issues was the underground parking garage. Previous reviews said get a small car for the space. Property management echoed that. I reserved a standard, got a full size (Optima) and two days later was changing it in for a Kia Soul for the higher ground clearance. The entry/exit is at such an angle due to some spot repaving that every time I exited in the Optima it sounded like I was ripping the bottom off the car. So, shorter wheel base or higher ground clearance. The space is very narrow, though. I doubt a Jeep would fit. Second would be the AC. The small window units were ok but had trouble keeping the rooms cool. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay to avoid the high cost of Waikiki Beach. Walking distance to everything in the area.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice unit, a little outdated and not much storage, but the location was perfect for us. The louvered windows NEED to be replaced with double paned windows for noise. The traffic on Ala Wai Blvd is LOUD and kept my wife awake. The air conditioners could be updated too for noise. I brought ear plugs. They supplied beach chairs which we used each day, and beach towels and umbrella. That was great. I really like the view of the canal and the golf course. The walk to Waikiki beach and shops is a couple of blocks and was fantastic. Not having to find a place to park was worth it's weight in quarters.

Modern, clean unit at Fairway Villa

Room 817 at the Fairway Villa is very modern and clean. The AC is very good, robust and easy to set. wifi is excellent. cable TV is good but no premium cable channels. washer and dryer are easy to use. we only had one problem and that was dampness in the rug caused by a crack in the unit housing the master bedroom AC. this led to mildew and mold and Captain Cook moved us to another floor. That unit was older and had very small, low power AC units. It was always a bit stuffy in 2002. I loved having a parking space as the Ala Wai Canal area has very limited metered parking. It is centrally located. We could walk two blocks to the International Market place for shops and restaurants. Our house manager James was excellent about communications and meeting our needs.
