Such a sweet home which made our stay so special. We loved the historic charm, comfort and cleanliness of the property. It is central to visiting Waxahachie and the surrounding areas! Our host was very responsive and accommodating to our needs for our stay! During our next visit to Waxahachie, we hope to stay in this property again!
This home nestled in historic Waxahachie was perfect for our family. Kiddo loved the playroom and exploring all the nooks and crannies! Walking distance to downtown and splash pad. Easy access to many area attractions (we took a day trip to Glen Rose and dinosaur valley). Host even provided sound machines in the bedrooms which were very much used as the train tracks are nearby! Highly recommend this home!
We met friends here for a fun weekend in Waxahachie. The house was great - very clean, close to downtown. It has one bed/bath and a powder room downstairs; upstairs is another bedroom with two queen beds and a third bedroom with a queen bed. There is a second full bath upstairs. There are two separate sitting rooms, a full kitchen, and a sweet little library room. LOTS of great books to pull from if you need a book break!
Unfortunately we only had two days to spend at this wonderful house. I would love to have stayed longer and will definitely consider staying here again. The house is very lovely, in a quiet neighborhood and close to many restaurants and other sites. The host was excellent in her communication with us, and we would certainly recommend this property to everyone. Great stay!
Another wonderful stay at this property. Can't wait for the next time. Just hope it is not booked because this is a very popular property for good reason.
Traveled for a wedding. Even in the summer it is so centrally located we could walk anywhere we want in the quaint downtown area. Quiet street. Excellent charm. Recommend.
We book this house every year. Katherine is an awesome host. The house is always very welcoming and a cozy stay. Our favorite place is the wrap around back porch and the scenery in the backyard. This place is perfect everytime. We can't wait for next year!
I couldnât be more pleased! Lovely comfortable property, perfect communication with host. Location was convenient for reunion at the lake. I LOVED IT.
This is our 5th time staying at this great house. We participate in missions connection week at Sagu each year and always stay at this house. Our team 5-6 people fits well here and even though weâre not at the house much, itâs a great place to come home to relax chat and have a snack.
The home was charming and nicely restored. The beds were comfortable and accommodated our family who were in town for a wedding. The back yard was really nice with a wonderful back porch. Katherine was a great host and accommodating when our flights were delayed. We would highly recommend this home.
My group of friends stayed here for the weekend in order to be close to Scarborough Fair. The house was so cute and walking distance from downtown which was great for going and getting dinner. The owner was kind enough to provide us with complimentary coffee, tea, and popcorn along with access to Netflix and Disney Plus! Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!
Loved every nook of this house! Beautifully decorated and so much character. My girlfriend and I were running the Hachie 50 and our husbands were our support crew. The house is perfectly situated, just walking distance to restaurants and shops and had all the touches of home if you want to stay in and cook. Katherine was wonderful and super responsive. Book it now! You wonât regret it!
This house was perfect for our girls weekend. The property was exactly as listed. The hostess reached out to me with details and was close by in case we needed anything.
Excellent location with in walking distance to downtown which had lots of shopping and restaurant locations to choose from!
We had a wonderful weekend and thoroughly enjoyed staying in this beautiful home! Our nieces (who live nearby) loved the upstairs (stocked with toys and books) so much they begged to stay overnight đ. The pictures donât do justice to this precious house. Everything was perfect! We look forward to staying again soon!
My husband and I had to be in Waxahachie for a family wedding and there were various members of the brides family staying at the house with us. It was a wonderful place, with plenty of privacy for each family member and numerous areas to gather and talk. The house has been updated with all the necessities to make our stay perfect. Katherine was available when we needed her and was able to let us in just as we finished our drive across country. Anytime we come back to Waxahachie, it will be our place to stay.
This is an old home with a historical marker! It was super clean and included several supplies and even extras if needed. The home was decorated with period paintings and other beautiful decor fun to look at.
I needed to call the landlord a few times and she was so accommodating, friendly, helpful and a very nice and easy person to deal with. I recommend this house with 5 stars on all counts!!
I bought this house in 2009 while I was still living in New York. I was a magazine editor for many years, but I wanted to return to my Texas roots and the quiet of small town life. Waxahachie was ideal. Close to Dallas, as well as my hometown, which is just 45 minutes away, this charming neighborhood and town has allowed me to raise children in a wholesome environment close to family and friends.
