Two adults had a great stay at this B & B. The weather was sunny. The location is in Homer downtown and was a good area for interesting walks. Wynn Nature Center hike was outstanding. It requires a car to get there but it is worth the effort.
Carol was a great host. The residence was centrally located in Homer. There were baked goods, all sorts of coffees waiting for us on arrival, fresh cream, yogurt, and juices! The residence was very comfortable with a great view.
The property was great and in a beautiful setting,
Pretty flowers everywhere. The property was very clean. The location was excellent and easy access to
Homer Spit. There was no stove or sink in the place and we ate out more than we would have. The nice lady made us several muffins and cakes which were
Very delicious. There were 2 mini fridges and a microwave and toaster oven. Overall it was very nice. we would definitely stay there again.
I loved the wall of windows looking out on beautiful, natural grounds with a peak at the mountains across the bay!
A moose walked up and stared at me just 15 feet away through the glass. Though Iâve lived in Alaska in different locations, it was a special treat!
Thank Carole for the great stay!
This quaint lower level apartment was perfect for our 2 night stay. The unit is filled and decorated with beautiful old woodwork, reminiscent of old European craftsmanship. Note that it is set up as an efficiency, but there is no kitchen sink. Because our stay was short, this was not a problem, but could be for longer stays. Overall, a great place.
Caroleâs property is in a perfect location If you want to be close to the spit. She is a very kind host with great restaurant tips. Her house has a ton of space. She only offers one day of breakfast items (yogurt, cheese, etc.). I was under the impression youâd get breakfast each day. The house smells musty but I think that is typical when the climate is so wet and the property has carpet and cloth couches. Removing soft surfaces could solve the problem. We would stay there again.
Went to Homer to meet my new grandson with my daughter, we loved the rental and it was a lifesaver for us. My daughter had a new baby and has a cat. I am allergic to cats especially hers and we could not spend time at her house because I got sick. The Rental had a pleasant space to enjoy both my grandson and two daughters while on vacation. Everything was clean, organized, and a pleasant place to be. We also had a great time enjoying the resident Sandale cranes outside the window.
Beautiful, very comfortable, quiet place, with a kind and friendly host who made great recommendations for restaurants, and even borrowed an appliance for me when I needed one not on hand. Kitchenette stocked for breakfast with fresh foods. Excellent location - walking distance from restaurants, shops, and quiet residential streets. Perfect place for our family of four.
Stayed at Caroleâs property in Homer with my son, daughter, son in law, and my 3-month old grandson. The property was perfect for our needs and Carole was a gracious host.
The host was very nice and baked us muffins and cookies each day of our stay. The host accidently double booked the property for one of our nights but we were able to remedy the situation. Please note that the sunroom is equiped with two mini fridges, microwave and toaster oven. Do not plan to do much cooking. There is a $10 fee per load to use the washer and dryer. The driveway was a little small. Overall the property is nice and very Alaskan
We are 42 year Homer residents that know we live in a very magical place. It is really fun for us to share with visitors. Jack has commercial salmon gill net fished in Sand Point, where he formerly taught mathematics at the high school. Carole and our 2 daughters fished as a family on the f/v Whalesong with him. Now, one daughter Delane lives in Homer w/ her family and Memry lives in Portland, Or. w/ her family and hopes to come back to Homer. We all love our town and enjoy sharing it with you! :)
