Just right

This complex is the perfect size if you want a peaceful, clean environment. Close enough to Kona Town and yet away from the noise and traffic. Beach front nice pool area, great parking.

Great place for a couples vacation

The hosts were very communicative before we got there, so there was no stress whatsoever getting in to the rental. The pool area was beautiful and the beach area was immaculate and very nice to relax at. The tips about cooling off the room with the fan were very helpful. The hide a bed in the living room was actually one of the most comfortable ones I’ve ever slept on. All in all, we had a very positive experience and would recommend this to our friends.

Even though we didn’t use it, there was all kinds of snorkelling gear and beach chairs. The location was central and close to all things that we wanted to see and do. We would definitely stay here again. The management was quick to respond to our one request regarding the wifi and it was resolved in minutes - our mistake, not theirs.

The only negative was the location was different to the map on Expedia so we were 3km from the pier. But it was easy to check in, parking included and comfortable apartment. There was work happening on the stairs while we were there but that didn’t affect us. It’s good to see they are maintaining the property. It was great having an esky provided as we could take cold drinks on day trips. Kitchen had good cooking utensils.

We had an issue with the lock (my daughter turned the lock the wrong way) they called me back right away, and followed up to make sure everything was ok.The condo itself is very dated, but clean. Not many extras. I was surprised there was no dishwasher. The bedroom can get very hot, thank goodness for the air conditioner and fan. Overall the condo and complex was nice for the price.

Overall, it is a nice room with plenty of perks inside, just look around the room and go open all the doors :). Sofa and especially the mattress is quite old, so you may want to be hardly exhausted to sleep on it :). Many people to whom I talked, have chosen long-time rent/stay here, which convinced me to get back next season with my family. I liked the BBQ area and morning coffee at the deck :). Swim pool was not crowded and deep enough for my height :). Overall I would recommend this cozy place to consider for the stay.

Super Lage, super Betreuer

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Resort ist wunderschön am Meer gelegen. Schräg gegenüber vom Resort fährt der entgeltfreie Autobus stündlich ab, der nach Kona reinfährt und in der anderen Richtung zu Public-Stränden fährt. Dave war super nett und aufgeschlossen und hat uns zum vierten Juli zum amerikanischen Barbecue eingeladen.

Great Place, Be Wary of Management Company

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Kona Isle was wonderful! My boyfriend and I were here for a week in March and loved the location of the place, the ease of access to the pool, and reading on the chairs while looking at the waves crashing on the shore. The apartment complex also has outdoor grills, which was an added bonus. The unit has a lot of potential to be amazing, but it's in need of some renovations. That being said, we loved our stay and would recommend for the lower price point. I'd suggest to buy at least a more comfortable bed, though, and perhaps freshen up some of the linens, etc. My biggest complaint was the management company, who did not provide good customer service. When I called the office, they assured me that my security deposit check ($1000 for one week!) would not be cashed unless there was an issue, but I found out a few days into my stay that they did cash it (they never told me, instead I saw on my bank statement). It was quite stressful and shocking to see $1000 out of my account without explanation. While I eventually got my money back two weeks later, it was quite a strange way to do business and left me with a weird feeling due to Knutson's lack of communication.

I reiterated with the team, that we ALWAYS deposit the $1000 security deposit check.. if we didn't there would be no way to determine if the check is good or not. Older but comfortable

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Don't need high luxury and want a good deal? This might be the place. Everything was clean and the location and pool were great. The unit was not just dated, but some items on the older side. A/C works great in the living room, but being a wall unit doesn't extend its reach to further parts of the unit--that should be expected. That said, no problem sleeping as the evenings and mornings are pleasantly comfortable and there's little need for the A/C then. Pool was great and it's a nice stroll down to a great view of the ocean. Once down there, turn around and you get a sweeping view of Mauna Kea. You're close to downtown Kona and Magic Sands beach as well. Easy check in, and we barely saw a single bug. For Hawaii, that's surprising!

We are aware of the AC issues and are working on getting the owner to approve budget for a new system or an additional unit in the bedroom. Wow- not one bug?! We take pride in the cleanliness of our units, but for Hawaii, that is extraordinary! One correction; the mountian you will see if you look inland from the coastline at Kona Isle is our Hualalai- little sister to Mauna Kea. Many don't realize that Hualalai stands at a healthy 8271 feet of elevation at its summit and is responsible for gathering our afternoon clouds to cool Kona off. :)

Dirty towels , just two pillows with pillowcases

Rating Details: The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Too many instructions in how to maintain property and property was not in good shape did not feel welcome

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Old and rundown unit, needs major renovation. Rusted metal everywhere, dryer had excessive lint, dilapidated furniture. AC runs 24/7 and drowns out TV (need to have volume very high). No view. Abandoned pipes on kitchen wall. Towels very worn. Good hot water and pressure. Good toilet paper. After reservation completed, was then made to send $1000 cashier check or pay $49.99 for damage protection.

Aloha Charlie, We're so sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We have replaced the AC unit and thrown out anything rusted that needed to be. There is a view of the water from the lanai, so we don't know why you stated that. We do have all of our rental agreement terms attached to every listed and it's stated in the description as well. We wish you nothing but the best. We're sorry B31 was not enjoyable to you!

Great Kona Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great condo for the price! It was clean and had everything we needed. Nice clean ocean front grounds and bbq area with pool. All rental info and management were easy to get A hold of and helpful. Great location near shopping and beaches. Assigned parking space a plus! Keyless door entry was nice as there were no keys to keep track of while on outings or at the beach (wish my rental car was also keyless). This condo saved us enough money on our trip that we were able to take a helicopter tour over the active lava flow!We will be back!Thank you,Wes
