First time travellers with VRBO and we couldnât have asked for a better week in St Peteâs beach! The Gulf Winds condo was close to the beach, pubs and Corey Ave. The unit was prefect for two people for a weekâs vacation to unwind and relax. The ground floor unit made it easy to access parking and coming in/out from our activities.
Looking forward to returning next year and hopefully renting this unit again!
We were originally booked for room 701. There was an issue with a broken bed. We called the front desk, The problem could not be resolved due to the holiday weekend. Terry in the office a Gulf Winds worked to make sure we were accommodated. He was courteous, friendly, and very helpful. He got us a new condo with as little disruption as possible for which we are grateful. It cannot be overstated what a joy it was to have Terry helping us.
Excellent location at end of beach. Within walking distance to many restaurants/bars and a handy convenience store. Units and property in general are well maintained.
We have stayed at multiple condos at this location. The check in and customer service was easy and great. The location is perfect as you can walk to the beach and many places to hang and eat with friends and family. This condo also being on main floor is nice as it can be hard to carry up luggage on upper condos. They also had great equipment for the beach. This condo was a bit out dated (bedroom, sheets and blanket, and bathroom) and smelled musty. It seems like it had not been stayed in awhile.
Great location, unit well maintained with nice amenities. Gulf breezes are wonderful. Only negative is that beach visitors will poach available parking spots that you paid for.
Not a good experience. We were told at check in that there was a maintenance issue and we wouldnât be able to check in until later. The place itself was not very clean (lots of dirt and dust). Fast forward 2 days later... we come home from the beach and our toilet was overflowing into the bathroom floor and brown water and feces was coming up through the tub. It took almost an hour with multiple calls till someone came to the room to assist us. I was also told by âDavidâ that they had problems with the plumbing before we even checked in. Finally after enough complaints and us refusing to stay in a place where feces was coming up through our shower we were put into another room. We had small concerns there as well but did not even bother to attempt to call about them. The property manager Theresa was very rude and more concerned about her own plans she has that night (she told us multiple times). We were charged $100 for a reservation hold on dinner which we did not make in time and Theresa just told us well she âhad plans as wellâ. Great location but if you have a problem or concern, which you most likely will, it is awful to get in touch with someone and actually get help or get a refund since you are not getting what you paid for. OVERALL LOST OUT ON OUR OWN MONEY DUE TO THE PROPERTY MALFUNCTIONING (which was already an on going problem before we checked in) AND DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR.
The location couldn't have been better and the pool was the best!
