Le Ferry House est une propriété récemment rénovée sur les rives de la puissante rivière Clarence dans le pittoresque village de Chatsworth Island. Juste à côté d'une rampe de bateau, paisible et calme mais à seulement 20 minutes de Yamba, Iluka et Maclean. Pêche, ski, pagaie, surf, vous pouvez tout avoir.

La maison dispose de 2 chambres avec chacune un lit double, un futon lit double dans le coin nuit et le canapé du salon se déplie également en un lit double. Il y a un poêle à bois pour l'hiver et une terrasse venteuse et AC pour l'été.

Have stayed a couple of times before and totally enjoyed, so a repeat visit was on the cards.The addition of the deck and outdoor bathing options is fabbo.Thanks as always Briony for the prompt communications.

Relaxation Heaven

Beautiful relaxing place to unwind and relax. Did some wonderful fishing off the river bank and enjoyed a book on the deck. Would highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

Chillin on the river

Our second stay. We relaxed in the cosy house and on the deck but also took the short drive to the beaches. Great spot and great value at this time of year.

Paradise on the River

Beautiful water views sugar cane fields and the house was perfect with amazing new balcony to chill out on with views of the river. Briony was an excellent host.

The Ferry House, Chatsworth Island

Wonderful stay at the Ferry House came back home so relaxed. Beautiful sunsets, quaint cottage with lots of history and the town folk so friendly. Definitely check out the General Store/Cafe. Had a lovely bacon and egg roll and coffee. Loved to come back again.

Best secret on the Clarence

This property is gorgeous. It has the best location right on the river and the sunsets are spectacular. The house is clean and comfortable, with every effort made to make the stay easy. I have to say having a bath while watching the sunset it was a new experience, but it was certainly pretty cool. Briony was a pleasure to deal with, and we will definitely be back.

Little piece of heaven

We loved our stay - the little cottage, the little quiet town, listening to the birds and the river, being able to holiday with our dog, throwing a line in almost off the back porch (which was also lovely) it was what we all needed. Cottage had everything we needed. We will be back, but for a longer stay next time.

Holiday perfection

We love the Ferry House, we’ve holidayed here several times now and hopefully many more, the house is just lovely and has everything you need. Air con, fans and fabulous heating for the winter months. Looking forward to our next visit later this year. 🌞🌞🌞🐟🐟🐟🛶🛶🛶

Relax and unwind

How can you summarise watching the sun set over the trees, river sounds lapping on the shore, whilst drinking a gin laying on the deck bed. Not far from services. A very peaceful, quiet space. The property manager was lovely and very helpful. A good choice for a family having space to be together and apart when rest is needed after a long day at the beach ⛱️

A total reset

We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Stayed 5 nights over Easter and hardly saw anyone about. The daybed is a great place to read or take a nap. We never sat inside, spent our time either by the river or on the deck. The stars light the sky at night and lovely sitting by the fire with a glass of wine. We caught alot of catfish, but also enough Bream and Flathead to keep us happy.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the **peaceful surroundings, breathtaking river views, and spacious, beautifully maintained home.** It catered perfectly to our family—our **furbaby loved the open space**, our **teens were kept entertained for hours with fishing and crabbing**, and us adults finally got the **well-deserved break** we needed! Mini break

Charming space that we all, including our pooch Bruce, enjoyed (and needed) during the weekend. There was a reluctance to leave and a definite discussion about a return. The area itself is a delight, a small community of humans and an abundance of wonderful animal/bird life. The property has everything you need (other than food of course) to keep you entertained and if you need more you are close to the township of Iluka and MacLean and Yamba. Host is easy to communicate with and access to property simple and self service. Thank you so much Briony.

Amazing riverside retreat!

The property was gorgeous. It was so well stocked with everything to make us comfortable. The river was beautiful, outdoor shady spaces to picnic, love the outdoor bath, great verandah space, beautifully renovated. Just perfect.

We are a father and 2 sons and their families with very strong ties to the area. We love to surf and fish and love the Clarence River.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our family hails from Chatsworth Island, Ashby and Maclean. We watched the old Ferry House slowly deteriorate when the last tenants moved out many years ago. When it came up for sale we couldn't resist. The renovation was a loving family project with a strong nod to the history of the house and the region. We live on the Sunshine Coast and Mackay now but come back to Chatsworth whenever we can because it has a magic and serenity all its own.
