Le Flying Dreams Guest House offre paix et tranquillité dans un cadre complètement magique.

L'élégance simple de l'extérieur donne quelques conseils de la grande de l'intérieur des plafonds voûtés, la flambée des fenêtres gothiques, et vue spectaculaire sur la Manche Trincomali. Le bien-nommé, intérieur éclectique offre 1800 pieds carrés d'espace de vie luxueux, dont un centre de divertissement, une bibliothèque et une salle à manger. Planchers de bois franc et de tapis persans ajoutent une touche classique. Un 450 pieds carrés supplémentaires de mezzanine surplombe l'espace dramatique et offre une vue panoramique qui se prolongent tout le chemin à travers les îles du Golfe.

La cuisine est compacte mais spacieuse, équipée d'un petit réfrigérateur, et un poêle à deux brûleurs intégré dans une île élégamment conçu. Cafetière, bouilloire et théière, four grille-pain, et des ensembles complets de vaisselle, couverts, verrerie, ustensiles de cuisine, casseroles et poêles, complètent cette charmante cuisine-facile à utiliser. Thés, café torréfié localement, le sucre, le miel, le sel et le poivre et sont fournis.

Une salle de bain trois pièces avec douche offre des produits de bain fournis par Salt Spring Soap Works. Et à l'extérieur, sur le pont en pierres de retour avec une eagle's-oeil-vue, une table de café fournit un cadre privé belle pour le café du matin ou un repas à la maison.

Et tous à quelques minutes de la plage.

Hilltop magic

This is by far one of the most interesting and spacious places we’ve stayed at. The views and the spacious room really made us relax and slow down. We’ll definitely go back.

Great holiday coming fom Vancouver

This was our third stay here and it was as good as the previous two. Beatiful, huge and clean space with all the amenities and a very accommodating host. No better place to stay on Salt Spring island for a couple and a dog.

So lovely, we can’t wait to return!

My husband and I absolutely loved our four days at Flying Dreams. This unique and gorgeous property was so relaxing and peaceful. The location was quiet but close enough to everything that we needed and the view was stunning. Max is a lovely host, he is very helpful and accommodating. The property is even better than the fabulous pictures and we can’t wait to go back!

Truly a magical spot by the sea

We greatly enjoyed our first trip to Salt Spring Island, and a big reason for that was this magical retreat home. The vaulted ceilings, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful location all contributed to a wonderful stay, and Victoria was a great host. We are hoping to visit the Island and stay again at this spot since we enjoyed it so much last time. I heartily recommend it!

Spectacular cathedral windows overlooking the ocean

A lovely 5 day quiet retreat high in Saltspring island’s northern tip. Daily walks in beautiful Duck Creek park with our golden doodle. A must for dog lovers. 20 minutes to Ganges for the Sunday and Tuesday markets and shopping. Would go again for sure.

The view

What a unique property. Aerial studio/performance space a la VRBO. The acoustics and view are spectacular. Bring your guitar,etc. and your favorite CDs. Clean, unique, quiet. The artistic design w/ attention to detail made this the perfect get away for our 20th anniversary weekend. Cheers!

Wooded Haven….

Flying Dreams is a quiet haven on Salt Spring. The kitchen is extremely well appointed, the bbq works great, and the bed is comfortable. The photos don’t do it justice. It’s obvious in every detail down to the landscaping how much care, thought, and talent went into constructing this fantastic space… I’d definitely stay here again. Thank you Max!

Extraordinary! Surpassed all our expectations

What a gem. This is by far the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. It's a magical, spacious clean and modern "house" in the woods. Perfect for a getaway to rest and recharge. Victoria and Max we're lovely, they left fresh flowers and fruits and greeted us when we arrived. Very flexible with our travel arrangements. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back.

Nice property, beautiful view, nice location (quiet) ....loads of little flying bugs though but they didn’t bother us as they were close to the windows. We are still waiting for our deposit back though.

Nestled Getaway

The Flying Dreams property is one of a kind. With its high location, you have a lovely view of the ocean and adjoining islands. The towering floor to ceiling windows provide amazing sunrise light. Even though there is no stove, we were able to easily prepare meals using the bbq and two-burner cooktop. Access to the village and hiking trails is quick and convenient. Max is a very gracious host who makes you feel very welcome. We have visited twice now and will certainly be returning again.

Awesome spot to elope ❤️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this suite, not only as a place to stay while exploring the island, but also as a backdrop to our intimate elopement ceremony. The building itself is really beautiful/picturesque, and is packed full of little gems to discover. There is a great sound system and a large collection of CDs there that we had fun browsing through & playing. The little library in the corner is packed full of interesting reading material and art books. Max was very welcoming and gave us some history about the building and some great restaurant recommendations when we first arrived, but otherwise kept to himself for the remainder of our stay. We hope to return again sometime soon to soak up some more of the magic that this beautiful spot has to offer! Thank you again for hosting us for our big day, truly an unforgettable experience.

An absolute gem!

The description (and all the previous reviews) was everything this property said it would be ... and some! The photos, although stunning, really do not do it justice. You have to experience it to truly appreciate it, especially the peaceful, magical and mystical feel that it has. So much heart and love went into it's unique design and, despite it's vastness, it has a wonderful, welcoming feel to it. My dog especially loved all the wide open floor space, but his favourite pastime was sitting and looking out of the HUGE window to the forest. It is by far one of the quirkiest and best vacation properties that I have ever stayed in. Thank you Max for hosting and sharing your heartfelt memories and the history behind Flying Dreams, you too are an absolute gem!

Tranquil and secluded guesthouse

Our four days at Flying Dreams guesthouse started with a cheerful tour of the "Temple" guesthouse by Max. It was a joy to meet Victoria as well. Beautiful 35 ft high gothic styled windows allow the sunrise to flood in and wake you in the loft bedroom. Making coffee and enjoying the sunrise on the patio was wonderful. Beautifully crafted western red cedar doors, trusses, railings with artistic wrought iron balusters and tasteful stained glass window adorn this truly one of a kind guesthouse. We truly delighted in the peaceful surroundings and enjoyed the great sound system and interesting books. Thank you for allowing us to spent some very relaxing days here. Magical

It's a cathedral. It's lovely and airy and takes full advantage of it's natural location, waking to the dawn breaking through the enormous windows, and watching the moon rise from the stone patio. Everything is spotless, with a good selection of cd's, and an eclectic library from astrophysics to masters of visual art, literature, games, and some handy field guides to boot. We had a week in this marvelous edifice. The Bbq is in disrepair and was unusable, The mattress and pillows need replacing, but the linens and towels are of good quality and, as everything , clean. Quiet and peaceful with shopping, an active social scene and a plethora of art and crafts studios and vendors all about the island.

Wonderful stay in a spacious and unique property

Well looked after, clean and welcoming space - would definitely recommend. We liked the open, airy feeling, with a big window to look out at the forest and the ocean below. Have a coffee on the deck, or just sit inside in one of the comfy seating areas. The building itself has history and character - with high vaulted wood beams and plenty of light. The upstairs loft is decorated warmly and feels more cozy - a great place to curl up on a couch to read, the bed is comfy, and all furniture in great shape. Everything in the kitchen was very clean and ready to use. Galley-style kitchen with small fridge, hotplate and counter top oven are all in great shape. None of the windows look out on neighbouring properties so we had lots of privacy. Most of all, the property host was friendly, helpful, and once we were all setup we were left on our own. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short by a day, but would certainly go back!

Unique, awe inspiring, imaginative and serene spot.

We had a perfect week relaxing in this truly magical spot. The property’s location, unique, spacious and beautifully crafted design, comfortable furnishings, carefully chosen decorative details and placement of musical instruments are welcoming and awe inspiring. This is a quiet yet expansive space with a serene water view, an excellent sound system, CD collection, library, perfect wood floor and full length floor to ceiling expansive mirror ideal for partner dance rehearsal. The small kitchen is well stocked and well equipped with cutlery and cooking utensils—there is no oven. The stove top range, toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle and cookery are more than adequate for preparing simple meals—not suitable for complex cuisine. The bathroom has a standing shower no tub and is sparkling clean with ample supply of quality towels and toiletries. Our dog was very happy with the daily visits to the off leash Duck Creek Park nearby. The area has plentiful trails and beautiful beaches accessible by car. We had excellent communication with our generous, kind and mindful host, Max. We will definitely return.

Where do we begin to tell you about this awesome retreat?

This is our second visit to Victoria and Max's beautiful "Temple" in the high woods of Salt Spring Island...with a majestic view of Trincomali Sound. Just like last year, it was perfect! I was better prepared this year for planning meals than last year because I knew my way around the kitchen and how to plan meals without a microwave or full oven (it has a large Toaster oven that works just fine, and a grill outside for the King Salmon my husband caught). It was not a problem at all. We ate incredibly well, and we enjoyed the trips to Ganges for eating out and shopping. If you are looking for quiet, peaceful days and nights, this is the place. The accommodations are quite lovely and the hospitality from Victoria and Max...well, I don't see how you could find better anywhere. We loved it last year so much we stayed this year for 2 weeks and could have easily stayed another week except for the fact we have to catch our cruise to Alaska out of Vancouver, and we miss our puppy dog back in Gulf Shores. Until we see you again, Salt Spring Island and Victoria and Max, be well and take good care of our magical spot. Kenny and I will miss you!
