Our stay was great! We love the hot tub and arcade. We also enjoy that there is enough room for all of us to have our own space but we can still gather around the table with a puzzle or play games in the game area.
Holly and Eric were amazing hosts! Great communication with them. The house was above our expectations. Location was prime! Will definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay in this cabin! Perfect for a quick getaway to escape the heat! The hosts were so wonderful and had great communication. Although it's in a neighborhood, it felt very private and secluded. Clean, comfortable, cold a/c, and great water pressure. We really enjoyed the arcade game on the enclosed patio, and we even got lucky enough to catch an Elk feeding in the backyard while we were in the jacuzzi. I would highly recommend this cabin and plan to visit again.
Our family (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 10yr, 1 doggo) all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We arrived shortly after check-in but had not received our check in code, but after a quick call, Eric had us sorted out right away. The hosts also checked in with us our second day to make sure that we were ok and see if we needed anything. When we couldn't find the hot tub key, Eric replied right away to help us out.
The house was clean and comfortable and had all we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. The game room, hot tub, and firepit (we used the gas version) were all highlights for our family fun. Plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, etc. and even had specific blankets, towels, etc.. for the furry friends. One item that we could not locate was a cutting board. If there was one there, I could not find it, but was a non-issue. Otherwise we had all we needed to cook.
The adults had to work remotely our first day and the internet was excellent for both of us to conduct meetings/calls with no interruptions in service. The streaming TV was also a nice touch for a couple cozy movie nights.
Just down the street there is a trail (looks like a driveway but it's not) that we hiked two days. It meets roughly in the middle of a 4 mile(ish) hike and we hiked both ways. It's a lovely trail with beautiful views and we hardly saw any humans. All family members enjoyed (especially doggo) and it was so convenient to be able to just walk to the trail head.
Special note, we saw deer and elk every single day were there (5 days). It was such a treat to have them hanging out in the backyard just chilling while we had our coffee. Even walking the dog, they would just look up and hang out. Not worried about people at all - LOL. The next door neighbor is not a fan of the elk (read: shouting colorful words) as they eat her foliage. She was slightly disruptive a few days but seemed to chill out a bit after my husband chatted her up. I only bring it up as if we had smaller children they would have heard some "new" words ;) haha. Otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for.
There are several shops and restaurants close enough to be convenient but not in your back yard either. Of the 3 places we went we would recommend the Old County Inn and THAT Brewery. Excellent food and service at both establishments.
To sum up: We had a wonderful stay and would ABSOLUTELY rent this little cabin again. Thank you to our hosts - We all had a lovely time.
We selected this property for a few reasons. The location, space for a baby to play around, dog friendly and great outdoor views from the patio. The house exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful time. There was only one small hiccup that was addressed with the PMs and they were both very quick to respond and the issue was resolved. We plan to stay here again with more family!
The hot tub comes with a $75 usage fee, which in itself is ok I guess. The chlorine was so strong we stayed in about 10-15 minutes and I had to get out. We didn't use it again. They have a very nice place we played cards every night and enjoyed the video game console (galaga-packman) but I was disappointed with the extra charge on the hot tub. Would stay again just wouldn't use hot tub.
House was just as described; hassle free check in process, very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking utensils/pots/pans a family of 5 needed. Plenty of towels, blankets etc... I didn't see it in the listing, but there is a full size arcade game with 10-15 1980's games (donkey kong, dig dug, centipede etc... ) in the game room. House is 3 levels: a queen bed bedroom and bath on the main floor with the kitchen and living room, 1 bed in the loft upstairs. Downstairs is 2 more bedrooms with multiple beds, a bath and living room with a second TV. We parked our SxS in the garage, jeep in the driveway, pickup truck and 14' trailer both fit in on the street shoulder near the bridge.
My only caution to prospective renters is the gate to the back yard had fairly big spacing 6" maybe? Our skinny blue heeler could have probably squeezed through if he wanted. But I wouldn't think anyone would leave their dog unattended in a strange yard, so not a big deal in my opinion. Would definitely rent again if we go back to Pine.
We absolutely loved staying here. The check in process was super easy. We always love coming up to pine, to get away from the city and enjoy cooler weather. The place was clean and in the middle of pine! We brought our fur baby, and they had a fenced area, which was nice. We already canât wait to come back.
The location close enough to the grocery store, but far enough away to feel like we were in the woods was perfect for our group. We saw deer and elk on the street just outside the house. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of pillows/blankets, and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed. We loved our stay and would definitely rent here again.
The house was amazing with decks that look out. Nothing better than grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the deck and relaxing. We had an amazing time and the place is close to great restaurants. We even saw a couple deer while just sitting on the deck. Lots of space for people and they provide a lot of entertainment from bags to horseshoes to board games. We plan to book again
This was a great dog house, you could tell they took great care in being animal friendly. Different areas in the home and outside to hang, so great for multiple families.
Super cozy & clean! The owners were very easy to communicate with and checked in with me the day of to make sure everything was going well. Home has everything you need for your stay, beds are comfortable, tons of games in the game room, furniture is well taken care of, and the neighbors are very nice. Checkout was super easy since Eric and Holly text to remind of checkout procedure. We look forward to staying here again!
This is a fantastic cabin with a fantastic outdoor deck and firepit area for roasting marsh mellows. We especially enjoyed all the Elk that seemed to be very comfortable with hanging out on the property.
We needed a peaceful getaway and thatâs exactly what we got! The home was well equipped (minus a wine opener that we purchased and left behind for the next guest). Lots of wildlife, backup gas fire pit (visited during fire ban) and comfy beds. Great cozy spot to spend quality time with family or friends.
We came here with 11 people, 3 families. This home was amazing! The owners are very quick to answer any questions before the trip and during. The home and property were absolutely gorgeous and very welcoming. Had everything we needed to cook our meals and accommodate all of us comfortably. You can tell Holly and Eric take pride in this home and property. The neighbbors were all very friendly and came out to give us helpful hints and talk about the area! We will ABSOLUTELY stay here again.
We celebrated my momâs birthday by renting a house in Pine. The house was great for all of us to get together and play games. It has a great fire pit area with Adirondack chairs. We werenât able to have a fire because of fire restrictions but we didnât need to. It was such a lovely space that was close to hiking, creeks, blue ridge reservoir where we voted and fished. Perfect getaway while all the campgrounds were full.
We met through our dogs, became instant friends and now co-hosts! We dreamed of owning a cabin in the woods and unfortunately we canât be there 100% of the time, so we share our beloved cabin with you, our guests. We take pride in our home and look forward to sharing that with you hopefully time and time again! Arrive a stranger and leave a friend :-)
This cabin has been updated with all the modern conveniences and amenities. It's located on a double lot with it's own foot bridge. The home is on a wooded lot and feels private however there are neighbors on all 3 sides. It's close to town, only 1 mile from stores and restaurants. The National Forest is literally across the street where you can hike the Pine-Strawberry Trail or Mohawk Trail.
