The property put us as close to the town square as possible. We slept very comfortably and were able to enjoy all that Mountain View and the surrounding area affords. Even though we had to depart early due to a family emergency, the property owners were extremely understanding and accommodating.
We stayed in the cabin with our 3 kiddos (8 yr old, 6 yr old, & 3 yr old) and loved it! It was super clean & the decor was so cute! The location is perfect - it was within walking distance of the square and just a short drive to Blanchard Springs. The owners were so thoughtful - even leaving a sweet surprise for our kiddos! We canât wait to stay again!
Perfect little cabin for our family! Great location! I wish more stores had been open and it hadnât been so cold haha, but that just means we will have to come back in the summer :).
Me, my wife and our two kids (2 and 3 year old) stayed in this cabin. Very clean and 100% as expected. The area was under a water boil order (due to some sort of construction in the area) but the property manager notified us the day before and made sure we had plenty of drinking water stocked in the fridge. Very short walk to the court square where they played music all night on Saturday and had some resataurants. Highly refined staying here. FYI the loft was fun to take the kids up. Itâs pretty high up there so wouldnât let them stay up there with out us. Our 3 year old was scared at first.
This is such a cute property. The amenities were great and the location was in a good spot in town. If we ever find ourselves in Mountain Home again, we would 100% stay at the Knotty Squirrel!
It was a reasonable drive to buffalo river, and short distances to fun excursions around Mountain View - loco ropes, OK Trading horseback riding, Blanchard Caverns. It was new, clean & walking distance to shops and restaurants. Iâd highly recommend
Very clean, well equiped and the perfect distance from the Square in Mountain View.
I love staying in cabins in the Ozarks but wanted to be in town this trip so I wouldn't have to spend all the time driving. Took my wife to Mountain View for our anniversary. Unit was clean and comfortably and my wife loved the industrial character of the unit. Hidden one street off the square, it was a comfortable walk to the happenings of town and still hidden away on a quiet side street. Very much a cabin in town, but thoroughly modern enough to relaxing. Park at the door, bring your own breakfast and snacks, hit the shops in the AM, eat lunch, walk back for a nap, then head back to the square for music and dinner. The units are spaced far enough apart that you don't feel crowded by the other guests.
If you love The Square at Mountain View, this is a great place to stay. If you want to try a fixed-place-Tiny-Home and get some ideas, this is a great place to stay.
We very much enjoyed staying here. It was within walking distance to the town square and restaurants. However a bigger rug in the bathroom would be nice and handicap bars in the shower for some of us older people. Overall I would strongly suggest staying here.
It was so comfortable and had all I needed for a peaceful weekend away from a busy life. Great place to relax and close to the square so a car isn't even needed.
