Great villa, great location
We loved our stay at Casa La Margarita, spent a wonderful 10 days there.
The house is great, well furnished, and Miguel the caretaker is really warm and helpful. The pool is big and we also visited the beach (and the beach restaurant!) quite a few times. We slept well at night even with no AC, with the windows open there is a great breeze that cools the house at night.
Iznajar is a very interesting village, and well situated, you can visit bigger cities like Cordoba, Grenada, Nerja, etc that are within 1 to 1-1/2 hour drive away.
We already miss the olive trees and will certainly come back to Casa La Margarita!
So pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back soon!
Our family of 8 adults enjoyed three nights here. We walked into the town of Iznajar (a bit of a hike). It was a nice town and we loved the area around the church and castle. The restaurant at the lake was only a 5 minute walk. The wait staff were friendly and food was reasonably priced and good. The house was huge and beds comfortable. Outside areas were all utilized. The gift of two big jars of olives was very much appreciated.
Great to hear you had a good time!
Fantastic holiday home!
We stayed for two weeks with our two children and could not find any faults with the villa or the experience. The villa is amazing; lots of space, all mod cons and extremely comfortable. The pool is enormous and got lots of use by all of us. When we weren't in the pool the lake was fabulous for a swim and to hire a pedalo. The local area is great, a couple of restaurants minutes away and lots of options within 30 minutes walk. Iznajar is fun to explore, we loved the castle and all the winding streets. It is extremely steep towards the top but well worth the climb.
Kate was very helpful both before and during our stay and Miguel who manages the property locally was wonderfully welcoming and even took us on a quick tour when we arrived to point out where all the shops and restaurants were.
It was a five star experience and we would love to return!
Dos cervezas por favor
Extremely relaxing two weeks, there were only four if us in this very spacious villa, it could easily accommodate two families if needed. We were spoilt for choice for outdoor shaded eating spots. Although the temperature reached 39 degrees at one point, the design of the villa meant it kept comfortably cool day and night. The large pool was obviously much used! We enjoyed visiting lots of the spectacular local towns and eating at the range of restaurants nearby. This part of Andalusia, is a little off the tourist track, which is nice, most of the locals don't speak English, but are all very friendly. The local agent, Miguel, was extremely helpful.
This Villa is exactly as described and is very well furnished with most things you need supplied. Kate and Miguel were both very helpful before and during our stay.
We were a group of 3, elderly mother and son and daughter. The location was about 1 hr from Malaga Airport, Granada and Córdoba so it was ideally placed for us as we were sight seeing.
The Villa is easy to find in a small group of Villas next to the beach which was lovely and quiet. The Beach Restaurant is highly recommended but be aware the portion sizes are large.
Iznájar was beautiful but very steep if anyone has mobility issues. Lots of bars and other good restaurants.
The lake itself is just down the lane and is beautifully clear and ideal to swim in .When we were here it was never busy and is a very tranquil.
Really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again. We would gladly recommend it to anyone. The Villa was clean and well equipped. Thanks Kate.
We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Casa la Margarita! We hope so welcome you back in the future .
We were blown away by this beautiful home!
My family and I stayed here for 10 days in July. The house was lovely and the pool was very large. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for everyone, there were 7 adults staying in total. To say that the photos of this home do not do it justice is an understatement. The place is much larger than it looks in the photos and there is some outdoor seating that isn't featured in photos. We were completely blown away by this place. The caretaker Miguel was just lovely. He greeted us on arrival and even took some of us to the shops and showed us around the town. He offered to take us to the shops a second time during our stay. He went out of his way to be helpful and we really appreciated this. The house is practically next door to a restaurant and less than a 5 minute walk from a second restaurant. In the opposite direction to these two restaurants you will find the hotel, it's less than a 10 minute walk from the house and does really good food and has a lovely view. It is less than 5 minutes walk to the beach where you can go pedal boating and canoeing. I would recommend the pedal boating, we really enjoyed it. We did not have a car and so found the house a bit far from town. Having said that, we managed fine. About 10 minutes walk in the direction of town, just before the bridge, you'll find two bars. One of which, the one closest to the bridge, Cuatro Vientos, is really good. They do nice complementary tapas and good food from the menu too. It is run by a really friendly Spanish family, Miguel, the owner has good English too, which is handy. Just across the bridge heading towards town is a lovely restaurant, slightly more expensive than the others, but worth it. The town is about 25 minutes walk from the house and is uphill for the last 10 minutes. It's nice and the castle is worth a visit. We could only find small supermarkets that were quite expensive so opted for the fruit and veg shops and bakeries mostly. There are a couple of nice places to eat and drink in town, but personally, considering the walk, we preferred to go to the ones nearer the house, they were just as nice, if not nicer. We would highly recommend this house, the owner, Kate, was very good to deal with and very prompt to reply to any queries we had. We had a great holiday, thanks so much for having us!
