Brenda's Beach House (WOODY'S) - Plage de sable, fond du lac en pente douce.

Le lac Upper Crooked est un lac entièrement sportif de 735 acres situé dans la région de Gun Lake, près du lac Gull, le premier lac de Kalamazoo. Il est situé à côté de la pittoresque ville touristique de Delton dans le comté de Barry, qui abrite certains des plus beaux lacs du Michigan. Upper Crooked jouit du plus faible trafic maritime des quatre plus grands lacs de la région et fait partie d'une chaîne de lacs entourés par la réserve naturelle de l'État du Michigan (Lux Arbor). Des cygnes, des oies, des grues et des huards peuvent être vus tout l'été et la pêche est spectaculaire!

We had a little problem with the battery of the boat and gas but the owner worked with us and we were very happy with the out come.

We had a wonderful time a Brenda’s Beach House. It had everything we needed, great fishing s’mores buy the campfire and beautiful sunsets. Our only issue where the flies inside of the house we had similar issues the last time we rented this property but thought it was a one off.

Great place for a family gathering. Beach is very nice. Slow sloping water level…great for the little ones to play! Place was clean and well stocked. Looking forward to staying again someday!

Beautiful House on the Beach

This house is huge! All the rooms were clean, spacious and several outlets for multiple devices. The outside is beautifully landscaped. The neighbors were extremely friendly. We enjoyed playing cornhole, swimming at the beach and especially fishing.

A wonderful family home for vacation

The home was nicer than we anticipated. The front room space is larger than the pictures show. And wonderfully large kitchen. We had a fire every night. The beach is good for wading and little people, weeds start at the end of the dock. One can enjoy the lake best with a boat - we tubed, swam and fished our way around it. Bait shop, Grocery stores and coffee shops close by. Our family enjoyed the stay very much! Thank you.

Relaxing Getaway!

It was a great relaxing week with family! This house has plenty of room and was stocked with everything we needed, including a high chair. The beach area is great for little ones. I highly recommend this property!

Brenda’s Beach House did not disappoint!!

Our family had such a great time. We brought our boat and seadoos and played on the water, fished, had some great bonfires and played bags. Brett was super helpful with all of my questions. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely be back!!

Summer at the Lake

My family had a very nice stay. Everything was clean. Plenty of silverware/dishes and appliances. Everything worked well. We loved having a fire every evening and sitting around talking around the fire pit. An abundance of electric outlets. AC worked and we enjoyed having extra fans in all the rooms. We also used the pontoon boat and had a great time cruising the lake. Beautiful sunsets every night.

Couldn't ask for better

Our extended family of 6 adults and 5 kids have been renting lake houses for an annual vacation since 2015. This house was perfect. Spacious, proper furnishings indoor and out, room for all of us to eat together at the large dining picnic table, clean, functional, solid dock and reliable boat, nice beach, ample parking, prompt communication with owner, property manager nearby if needed. All of this made our stay an absolute breeze from start to finish. The location is wonderful, sunsets over the lake, quiet street for morning walks, ice cream shop less than a half mile down the road. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

Family Vacation

I typically don’t rent a home more than once but have already booked Brenda’s Beach House for next year. It was everything and more for our family. Kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable and loved the sand and water. Fishing was great as pike, bass, bluegill and crappie were caught. Being close to the town was an added plus. Brett was so responsive and kind with any questions and Greg (neighbor) was so helpful.

Great cottage!

Your cottage is a great place for family. Nice sandy beach for the little ones on a beautiful lake that wasn’t overly busy. We had fun fishing, boating, taking the girls tubing, kayaking, making s'mores by the fire and enjoying a couple of beautiful sunsets. Nice to relax and be together in such a comfortable cottage.

Great Property!

First time on Upper Crooked Lake and we loved it. The house was exactly how it was listed and was perfect for our family. Tons of beds for everyone. The beach was great for the little kids and the patio/fire pit was great! The inside made it feel like you were at the Beach. Communication was great with the Owner. Highly recommend this place!

Family Fun Made Easy

Incredible week long stay at Brenda's Beach House with 6 adults and 7 kids of all ages. Great communication. Easy check in process. Stocked with nearly everything our large group needed for a week at the lake including amazing sunsets! Our group is already discussing our next trip back.

Every year is better!

This was our 8th stay and the property is amazing! The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our group of 14 stays right on site all week and we are never bored! The owner is very responsive, the beach and lake are incredible and the house is so comfortable and the views are perfect!

Wonderful family lake vacation.

This lake house really checked all the boxes for our family of 10: nicely remodeled home, close to the water, very well appointed home and kitchen, fire pit with plenty of wood, clean, boat at the dock, great owner, nice local stores, great fishing all week, and comfortable beds and linens. We will be back next summer, thank you!

Great fishing

Had a great time. My 4 grandsons enjoyed the fishing, swimming, and playing games in the spacious cottage. Loved the kitchen—well stocked with dishes, etc., a lot of bedrooms, and ample living spaces. We rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed the freedom to cruise around the lake and fish in different areas. All ready planning on returning next year.

Another great year

We had a fabulous time, as always. This was our 3rd year in a row. Only a few recommendations to improve upon, a few we've mentioned in the past. The upstairs shower door needs replaced. It is nearly impossible to get out of once inside. We had a few kids screaming for help and a toddler with a pinched hand. As an adult, I too struggled to open it every time. The bedrooms could really use actual blinds on them for light blocking - for those that go to bed early (kids) and those that try to sleep in (adults). Lots of loose door handles throughout, including the back slider. The kitchen cabinets and closets could use a good thorough clean out. Lots of small appliances that are no longer working and a hodge podge of chipped and/or broken dishes and utensils. Bedding and pillows have seen better days and coule really use some updating. This was our only real complaint this year: we had to strip almost all the beds the first night after pulling the covers back. They had sand, hair, and other various stains throughout. Also, no s'mores this year with the picture frame like last year. Oversight? Overall, this is a great space, great home, and we plan to come back again and again. Our annual family tradition of coming here is something we look forward to and upon arriving, it's like coming home. It's familiar, comfortable, and so relaxing. Only a few misses on details that would go a really long way if addressed! Brett and Greg are both great and a joy to interact with.

Brenda’s Crooked Lake Beach House

An amazing home that was perfect for our family. Beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets. Look across the lake in the fall for an amazing display of colors while swans swim by. Relaxing and centrally located to area attractions.

We are Michiganders who now hail from Austin, Texas. There's nothing better than the endless summers of Michigan, where we raised our family on the lakefront. We hope our properties will bring fond memories to all our guests, their families and friends as it has for us.

We purchased and renovated Brenda's Beach House to be a mecca for our family and friends. We designed the property to be family friendly - the way we wanted it for our family. We are honored to have many perennial guests who have been staying with us since we purchased our first vacation rental in the area, in 2003.

Enjoy the benefits of a updated home and all the normal comforts of your own home. Look out the wall of windows and feel like you're on a houseboat floating on the lake. The gentle slope of the lake bottom and sandy beach are ideal for young families and elderly alike. The lake is low traffic allowing for teaming wildlife (eagles, swans, cranes, fish, turtles, frogs and more) year round.
