This house is well-kept and in a fantastic location. We could easily walk into town and did so many times. In addition, the house has a beautiful front deck as well as back deck and backyard. We enjoyed playing cards, people watching, and just enjoying the scenery. We would absolutely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. The house could use one more AC window unit as it was unusually hot and the second floor was very warm. The owner was delightful and the location is fantastic.
We had a great time at this property. Perfect location. Great porches! The home was comfortable and nicely furnished. Wonderful neighborhood. 2 blocks from the heart of town and 1 1/2 blocks from beach.
We spent a week at this lovely cottage and had an awesome time. Our family consists of my husband and I and our 3 daughters - 23, 18 & 17. We spent time in Harbor but also in the surrounding towns & lake. The home is well appointed and very comfortable! Weâll definitely stay again!
This home was a lovely place to spend our week in Harbor Springs! Everything was as described in the listing. Communication with the owner was very easy. We hope to stay here again in the future!
My group greatly enjoyed our stay at Beanâs beautiful home in Harbor Springs! The master bedroom & bathroom were spectacular, the kitchen completely remodeled, and the backyard was a relaxing oasis! The Beanâs were excellent communicators, responded timely to all my questions, and were wonderful hosts to ensure our stay was a success. I canât wait to book again!
This house has a great porches, fantastic kitchen, and a master bedroom suite that beats most homes. The upstairs bedrooms are good but don't compare to the master. Overall the house is very well appointed. We stayed as 3 couples and we all want to go back next year. Living areas are appointed with period furniture, dining room is great, but it was the kitchen where we all gathered and threw all kinds of food on the island for browsing brunches.
We really liked being a short walking distance to all of downtown Harbor. Short walk to public beach, The Pier, coffee, etc. The cars were only used to go up the hill to the IGA but other than that it was all walking and fantastic. Sandy and Bob called to make sure everything was good and it was better than good!. This house is a special place.
We have rented many homes in the area but this one has to be one of our all-time favorites. As a family of 6 we were all very comfortable in this beautiful home. When we entered through the front door upon our arrival we couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of the original, 1910 home which was clearly maintained with loving hands. From the original home we ventured on into what appeared to be a beautiful, modern addition which included a fully equipped kitchen and a gorgeous, tranquil master suite which included a full washer/dryer, walk in closet with plenty of room for him and her, and an expansive bathroom. The bedroom, with all of its windows, looked out over the backyard and had it been warmer (we had a LOT of snow when we visited) we would have taken advantage of the wrap around porch that offered plenty of seating outside. The two bedrooms upstairs shared a smaller bathroom which was satisfactory for the four grown children who used it (although they preferred the master bath!). It did get a little warm upstairs while the main floor remained comfortable, both areas were controlled by a single thermostat. The owners plan to update the system so there is more consistency throughout the home. There was room enough for parking two cars in our section of the shared driveway plus there was plenty of street side parking available. The home is within easy walking distance to downtown and its many great shops and restaurants. For you nature lovers the house sits on a road that will take you through some beautiful residential but wooded areas (my husband was on deer patrol every evening and had his fill of deer sightings all in close proximity to the house). This property left us lacking for nothing. The owners were accessible and very responsive. They called soon after our arrival to make sure everything was in order and to also offer some helpful hints on using the gas fireplace. When we had to call them due to a minor issue we had with the gas cooktop they were happy to offer suggestions on how to resolve the problem and stayed in touch with us to make sure everything was in working order. I would highly recommend this rental property, you won't be disappointed.
This house was a perfect representation of small town living! It has a lot of character and a huge wrap around front porch with a complete view of 3rd street and is 2 blocks (walking distance) from downtown - especially nice after a couple cocktails on Dudley's Deck. The backyard was very nice for lounging and grilling. I was surprised to see how well the owners incorporated the original turn of the century architecture and wood floors with the updated amenities. Well done! Will definitely rent again especially around the holiday week!
