Réveillez-vous les matins tranquilles, niché au dernier étage (3ème) parmi les grands chênes en vue de l'océan et à portée de voix du surf. Ceci est un endroit pour votre famille; c'est un endroit que vos enfants adoreront.
Ce condo 3BR-2BA peut accueillir 8 personnes dans la première station balnéaire de Pleasure Island et est un ascenseur. Il est juste en face de l'océan, avec sa propre piscine extérieure, un kiosque couvert et des stations de grillades. Il est adjacent à des courts de tennis, une aire de jeux pour enfants, un terrain de basket, des terrains de jeu de palets, un centre de loisirs intérieur avec une grande piscine intérieure chauffée, un bain à remous, des vestiaires pour hommes / femmes avec saunas secs et un centre de remise en forme équipé de machines et de poids libres. Le condo est équipé de tous les appareils (micro-ondes, laveuse / sécheuse, lave-vaisselle, cafetière, grille-pain) et est prêt pour votre escapade confortable et chaleureuse à la plage. Les tailles de lit incluent 2 lits queen et 2 lits jumeaux en formation gigogne haut / bas. Remarque: les draps et les serviettes de bain sont fournis. First impressions are good. Loved the location, outdoor and indoor pool very nice and clean. Elevator worked and carts available to assist in taking things to room. Nice layout of the apartment. New stove and dishwasher. Instructions were clear. HOWever. The bed had sand in the sheets. So linens were not changed. Kids feet were black from the floor. It looked clean but obviously was not. No lights in refrigerator and many bulbs blown so limited lighting. Owner may not be aware of that. But light bulbs needed. HVAC worked well.

Absolutely amazing!!!

At first when I was reading the other reviews I was a little skeptical. I ended up booking because I waited until the last min, and it was the only option I had left. I was worried about the “outdated” appliances- I hoped I could use them. When I got there- EVERYTHING WORKED JUST FINE! We had 3 of our kids, ages 10,13, and 15 with us. The ocean is less than a minute walk- you have access to indoor/ and 2 outdoor pools(we couldn’t find the 3rd one- but really didn’t look that hard), play area, basketball hoops and a tennis court. We shopped at Walmart in Carolina beach before we checked in- and everything was amazing!!! We wanted something not so commercialized, and that’s exactly what we got. The neighbors are extremely friendly, and told us about low key gems in the area. One night, we adventured to Carolina beach to watch fireworks on the beach- the kids were so excited! I couldn’t be more happier with the experience that we had there!!!!! I would definitely recommend!!

The owner was very helpful. The condo’s location was convenient to the beach. The pool was my grandson’s favorite. Even though the decor is out dated, everything worked as it should.

Easy access to the beach .

Great location and plenty of room.Nice to have the indoor pool and playground for the kiddies. Appliances a little dated.Oven smoked when turned on,just needed cleaning, so couldn't bake the birthday cake we planned but not a deal breaker for us :) We All had a good time :) May well return in the future .

Great location but not great condo

My brothers and I stayed at the condo for a weekend fishing trip. This condo is in a great spot. It’s on the quiet end of Kure Beach and right across the street from a beach access. At night, you can hear the waves crashing and enjoy the stars on the deck. The inside is not as great. The condo itself is dated and needs better ongoing maintenance. Multiple lights were out; the smoke detector was chirping; and the overall age of the interior is definitely evident. The worse experience was the cleanliness. It was not cleaned well at all (including bed being made but sheets not replaced from the previous tenants with sand in the sheets). The owner was quick to respond to our requests and offered to help. Overall, the condo needs updates throughout, better maintenance, and significantly improved cleanliness. But the location and responsiveness of the owner are definitely positive.

Property location was great and convenient. Entrance had many spiders and condition of property was older - could use upgrade. But overall, it was a positive experience.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The unit itself is dated, but spacious for the price. It is also on the top floor, with a very nice balcony. There were chairs and an umbrella and beach toys for the trips to the beach, so we didn't even unpack the things we had brought. The outdoor pool is very nice, although it was closed for 2 of the 3 days we were there due to a pump problem. However, there is an indoor pool within a short walking distance, so we used that. It was nice and had a hot tub, but did not have much of a shallow area for small children to play. There is also a small playground in that area. The host should mention this option on his description since it is very nice when its just too hot at the beach! And the beach itself is just a short walk across the street, but not on the street, so the condo buildings themselves don't get the street noise...but of course there are not water views either. We loved the location, quiet part of the beach, close to the state park. However, it is probably a mile or a mile and a half to any food establishment, so not walking distance in the summer heat. The unit itself was adequate for our needs and a good value. It has a washer and drier but we did not use them as we were only there for 3 days. The smaller bedroom has a trundle bed, not 2 twin beds. This room stayed warmer than the other rooms, probably because the bed and trundle were placed over the vent. The couches were durable, but probably would not have been terribly comfortable for sleeping if we had needed them for that purpose. Being older, I could have used more lighting in the bathrooms and a full length mirror somewhere would have been a nice touch. A single towel and washcloth for each person was supplied, but more than one per person would have been better. I did get in contact with the host before we went, and he was very prompt in replying to my questions. Overall the condo was very comfortable for our group and I would definitely stay there again.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

What's Good: The Host is super responsive. We had issues and they responded right away and were ready with solutions that made a difference in our stay (many thanks to Kristen and Sara!!). The location and the beach are great. What's Bad: We rented specifically because the pool was right outside the door. The pool was broken and remained broken for our entire stay(not the fault of the host), but would have been nice to have been alerted and not walked into a situation where we had to try to figure out what was going on with the pool. There are other pools but they are not as convenient the down pool essentially it caused crowding of other pools and impacts on others' stays. Next, if you are in need of using the elevator, and it's your first impression it's a really bad first impression; dirty, run-down, rusted, and "down" at least twice during our stay. The back deck was "unuseable" per the host on the second to last day of our stay... totally would have been helpful to know it was structurally unsound the 5 days prior when we used it... a good thing nothing happened, but it created stress, nonetheless. What's Ugly: The unit is dated and comes with its own distinct odor; the host is aware based on some A.C issue. That would have been nice to know that ahead of our arrival... The bank of drawers to the right of the dishwasher smells horrible (we washed all utensils AND the drawers themselves the smell is baked in). The cabinets above the stove are broken. The unit needs a refresh. Really minor stuff- and totally worth the investment for the host given the weekly rate. Access doors for plumbing are common, holes in the walls are not necessary for plumbing access. The pictures are misleading- the pic with the two twins is inaccurate - it's trundle beds ( If you read the description prior to reviewing the pics you'll see the mention, but if you look at the pics and then see the mention you'll miss it, your brain can't help it...) Weekly Rate: Not worth it, especially with the broken pool & given the overall inventory. We would have changed our week and we absolutely would have paid another 500-750 if we were able to walk into a clean, decently appointed condo without smelly, broken cabinets. Once we realized what we were dealing with we looked at other units in the complex that are slightly more expensive but in much better shape.

Perfect Family Getaway

This was perfect for my sister and I and our 3 kids (ages 3, 1 and 1). Apartment was clean and had plenty of room, super easy walk to the beach with an outdoor shower to rinse off all the sand. It's also an easy walk to the fort Fisher walkway which is a beautiful stroll in the evening. Shops and ice cream are a quick drive away. The beach was pristine and not too crowded. The entire place is well kept. The apartment has everything you could want (including kid plates and silverware), check-in was very easy. We will definitely be back!

Family Vacation

We thought that this condo was beach front but it wasn’t unfortunately. Also there were painters outside of the windows all day long who could see inside. Creepy. Then we couldn’t use the balcony because the paint was wet. The hot tub was closed and couldn’t be used at all. The beach was a walk across the street which was hectic for us since we had children with us. The condo itself is nice but we would have preferred beach front with no creepy painters and a hot tub.

This Place was a great place for the family

We really enjoyed the property!! It was clean the owner responded back in a reasonable time . The beach access was right across the street . There’s only one issue there isn’t a broom and a dust pan to sweep up the sand on the floor .i do plan on returning soon if the property is available, I’m just gone bring my own broom with me lol

We mostly liked staying here.

I polled the adults in our group. The consensus was a rating of about 4. 4 is good but could be better - just like this unit. We liked the neighborhood very much - quiet and out of the way. We also liked the pool, beach access, a/c, washer/dryer, wifi, beach toys/chairs, elevator, rec center, parking, check in/out. We had a fun time, but for the price that is being charged for this 3rd row rental we would have liked a couple of improvements. The stove is difficult to operate. Sorry Karl but it is. Furniture needs a spruce up - dressers were missing knobs and paint and even some nails sticking out of one of them at little kid level. Large hole in the wall in the closet covered with cardboard. Plywood added to the deck likely meant as a temporary repair is coming up causing a trip hazard. Nowhere to wipe your wet beach feet or to step onto out of the shower - another slip hazard. A couple of cheap floor mats would remedy. The unit doesn't really accommodate 8. It has beds and dining area seating for 6. There are a couple of leaky blow up mattresses. So 2 kids in our group essentially slept on the floor. So, as I said, we had fun and the owner was easy to work with. But, for the money we would hope to have some of these issues resolved next time.

Nice quiet beach rental, good for families

Stayed with family and grandparents and it was ideal for a long weekend with kids. Quiet location, across the road from beach access, outdoor pool and use of indoor pool and gym (helpful on a rainy day). Enjoyed evenings on the balcony. Great wifi and TV options. Yes it is dated but for a beach rental at this cost, with a pool and rec options and when you have kids with you, it's all you need.
