Excellent location on Gun Point Cove. Beautiful views and sunsets over the water. Enjoyed peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the deck. Fresh seafood available within a short drive.
Super quiet location with fantastic water views. The property had everything we needed. Enough hiking trails in vicinity and nice, scenic restaurants for meals out. Great place to wind down.
This was a very clean, tidy, and lovely home on the rock cliffs with its own swimming hole at high tide. It was convenient for shopping and visiting quaint gift shops. Sunset views were phenomenal! The owner is very friendly and helpful with answers to our questions about local places to visit. I would stay here again in the future.
This spot was perfect for our vacation! It was even better than we were expecting. The view was amazing, owners were wonderful, the house was great, and it was nice and quiet. We hope to spend many more summer vacations in this home.
Comfortable accommodations, welcoming host and beautiful location for family and friends.
Farmers markets, historic towns, music, theater, hiking, kayaking and other activities nearby. All kinds of shopping, tours, and entertainment are available in Portland, an hour away. A little further south thereâs outlet shopping at Freeport. We have stayed here for years and plan to continue.
This property was a find-- gorgeous area, beautiful views, right on the water. Very comfortable home. Owner was very responsive, but not at all intrusive. We would definitely return.
My family had a vacation we will never forget in Harpswell.
The property is ideal for all kinds of activities - swimming, fishing, snorkeling, picking mussels for dinner and sitting back to watch the boats go by. We purchased a pair of binoculars midweek to better view seals, bald eagles and boats. Beautiful property and excellent accommodations. Very nice hosts!
Our family had a wonderful time in Harpswell and will gladly return if we're able to arrange it! The location of this home is beautifully scenic and though other homes are nearby it always felt nicely private. Watching lobster boats troll nearby to check their traps daily, sharing space with sea life in the tidal pools, and enjoying the seclusion of coastal Maine living all combined to make out time there a great reprieve from normal day-to-day responsibilities. Liliette was a gracious, friendly host, informative but never intrusive, and communicated promptly in response to any inquiries. Thank you so much for a very favorable experience!
The house was welcoming and right on the water. The views were amazing over the water. The beds were comfortable. We launched our kayaks from the dock. We found seaglass in the tidal pool and waded and swam during high tide. The deck was large and had plenty of seating.
My family of five (kids age 10, 7, and 4) just had the most amazing stay at this property. Itâs full of unique original charm, was super clean upon check in and freshly stocked with linens and all that we needed to be comfortable. The host was warm and welcoming - she greeted us at the property and saw us off at the end of our stay. My kids loved the deep water dock swimming and the cove was perfect for finding creatures and swimming/exploring in shallower water. The view of the cove at night took our breath away! The location was also perfect for day tripping to explore other local areas. We hope to return one day!
The house was brilliant for our family. Especially since it is the summer of 2020, the isolation offered by the house was very welcome. The floating dock was a bigger hit with our family (3 teenage kids) than I ever expected. Every bit as much or more fun than a beach. We rented kayaks and paddleboards for the week, tied hammocks up in the yard and hardly ever left the property except to visit the local Lobster purveyor.
Lilliette was extremely helpful, even checking on our kayay/paddleboard rentals before we arrived.
We really loved the beautiful setting and clean comfort of this home, and the friendly family that owns and cares for it. We would certainly recommend it to others. Only drawback was no washer/dryer in the house. Otherwise all was well taken care of and had everything we needed. We borrowed 2 kayaks from my nephew and this was the best launch site we ever had at high tide. We recommend renting kayaks and exploring this beautiful cove. Another plus is it is almost at the end of a peninsula so there is almost no traffic or noise to interfere with the sounds of nature.
There was so much to love about this place! Such an amazing view from the large windows in the open kitchen / living room area. The house is very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. Tide pool exploring was top notch, and the floating dock was our favorite place to relax - beautiful sunsets, the birds, fish jumping out of the water, the lobster boats, and we even saw some seals. Plenty of great places to eat and to explore within 30 min. A few things of note: no washer/dryer, but Brunswick has several laundromats. The two queen beds are very comfortable, but the twin beds aren't particularly. The two upstairs bedrooms (a twin set in one, queen in the other) have amazing views of the ocean, the main floor queen bedroom is on the back side of the house. The house is situated between two others, so not super private if that is what you are looking for, but still has a secluded feel being in a wooded area, and a mile and a half down a dirt road with 20 mph speed limit. Liliette is a wonderful host, very friendly and accessible for any questions, help or suggestions. This was our favorite vacation rental in Maine that we have stayed at. Grateful for such a wonderful place to for our vacation!
