The house was warm, inviting, and super clean. Owners were easy to get in touch with and made the check in/out process seamless. If you bring your boat and it has a steering skeg on the hull it more than likely will not go on the boat lift. The dock is very sturdy with cleats and they also had kayaks and other lake toys.
We enjoyed our beautiful stay at the lake. From fishing off the dock to swimming, tubing, and roasting hot dogs or marshmallows, every moment was delightful. Waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in the beautiful view from the deck was a highlight. The memories made there, with my family are priceless.
The house was SO well appointed! I've stayed in a lot of VRBO's and this one was the best! Loved the views (we got to see the Northern Lights!) and enjoyed the kayaks. The hosts were in touch the whole time, wanting to be sure we had everything we needed. Couldn't have been better!
John goes out of his way to make sure your stay at this gorgeous property is worth it. We've been coming here 19 years, and see no signs of slowing down. Already looking forward to next summer!
The house and location is perfect for a quiet lake getaway. Area is beautiful and peaceful. John and Mel always make it a pleasant experience. We love coming hereâ€ïž
What a beautiful place. Thank you, John and Melody for being such great hosts.
The beautiful Fourth of July cookies were a hit. There are so many things to do there and we try to take advantage of them all.
We made some lasting memories.
Thank you for letting us use your priceless getaway!
Monte and Family.
The property is in a super quiet cove, plenty of room, all the amenities we were looking for. We hiked, kayaked, cooked and relaxed enjoying the amazing view
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lake cabin. The cabin was well furnished and set up for a relaxing stay. The lake access was perfect for our kids to enjoy swimming and kayaking in the lake. This is a delightful vacation spot and we would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Camp Bay! The home is well stocked with all the necessary tools and toys for a fun getaway. The owners are the best and were very attentive to us as guests. The views are second to none, and we look forward to future stays!
We loved our stay at this property. The house was very clean, comfortable and updated and had everything we needed. The dock was in excellent condition and the location can't be beat- very quiet bay with beautiful views. Great for swimming and paddlboarding.
We had everything we needed for a great relaxing stay at this lake house. Beautiful setting with an abundance of birds in the area.
There were only a couple of drawbacks:
The hosts asked that all accumulated trash be driven over to Garfield Bay. Also, the house is advertised as sleeping 7, but there is an "extra person charge" of $25 per person per night for any people over 2 guests. We had four people there and were charged an extra $250 for five nights.
What you see is what you get.
Rustic home with amazing views.
Definitely not for young children or seniors due to stairs down to the lake & dock which is worth the climb.
Nature at its best with humming birds, white tail deer, bald eagles and fish jumping.
Only downside is the current construction all day long due to the development of 450 acres just three doors down from property. Bring your ear buds and you will be OK.
The house and location are amazing. John and Melody are the best. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience possible. We have never rented from a nicer couple.
My family had such a wonderful time. The cabin is really welcoming and comfortable and the Kearns family is very inviting. It was such a nice surprise to see all of the yummy goodies that were left for us by the Kearns family. My kids were in the lake from morning until evening and they had the best time ever. I highly recommend staying here for a very relaxing get away. We plan on visiting again.

We had a wonderful time and the house is absolutely perfect
We stayed for 5 days at this lovely house directly on the lake, and it has become our new absolute favorite! . Every detail was taken into account by the owners from kitchen essentials and lots of soft fluffy towels to tons of games and movies as well as use of their 3 kayaks. Our stay was so relaxing and the house and views were amazing! We hope to return next year. Thank you so much for sharing your special place with us.
My wife and I truly enjoyed this nicely appointed house with three large decks. We kayaked on the lake and hiked straight from the front door.
There is an extensive selection of DVD movies to watch in the evening and the Keurig coffee maker with a big variety of coffee pods was another nice surprise.
Iâm sure weâll be visiting again in the future.

Beautiful house, amazing views. We had a wonderful time. House is right on the water and the neighborhood is fully if wildlife. We saw lots of deer, turkey, bald eagles and a couple moose. The lake is super clean and all around the area are great water resources.
Silverwood is about 50 minutes away, groceries about 45mins to Sandpoint. Many good shopping and dining places in Sandpoint.
The house was well stocked for our needs and John even provided pastries and wine to start off the vacation. What a wonderful stay :)
Great location and view. Brought our boat and enjoyed the awesome lake. Fished and saw the sights and visited the Floating Restaurant in Hope. Surprisingly we found ourselves watching clouds and sunsets. Not sure that I realize weâve not taken the time to slow down and relax. Large dvd/blue ray collection was nice to use. Used the kitchen extensively and felt it was just about right. Seems like a place we could return to yearly.
The house was perfectly appointed. Everyone in our party was very comfortable. John and Mel welcomed us and made us feel 110% at home. The property overlooks lake Pend Oreille, and the view was absolutely stunning.
We caught several nice fish off the dock, and there are alot of deer near the bay that you'll see in mornings and evenings. We would count 20-30 most nights driving back home from dinner.
Would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to my friends and family. Thanks John and Mel for a wonderful trip!
The property is just beautiful. It's right above the lake and includes a dock with a boat lift and kayaks. It is decorated well, and has everything you could possibly want.
We saw dear, wild turkey, geese, Elk, and even bald eagles. It really is a breathtaking view.
The owners were very friendly and even brought us baked goods and other treats throughout the week.
There was a step that broke and John came right away to fix it.
This is the only time I have rented a VRBO where the owners were present. Check in was in person and included signing contracts in person. The rules are clear and there is an expectation of compliance.
We will definitely be back. This was a great experience.
We, John and Melody, purchased this property in 2013, remodeled it and have used it for summer and winter vacations. We want to offer others the chance to enjoy this property as we have. We live in Coeur' d alene Idaho.John loves to boat. Melody is a designer at heart and tries to make this a fun place for our kids and family to visit. Its been a place to help get our older kids off the electronics. This is a quiet neighborhood. Cell phones don't always work, so they often explore, play games and use the firepit to make smores. We have a growing collection of movies. We love to go to the Captains Table for dinners or stop for snack attacks at Odie's General Store in Garfield Bay. If we need more there's always the stores in Sandpoint, or the larger grocery stores, one can stop at Pie Hut for dessert to go.
It's located on a beautiful and quiet Camp Bay, with a view of the Cabinet Mountains and expansive Lake Pend Oreille. Eagles soar and catch fish in the bay. The breezes pick up at night as do the waves. It is relaxing to hear the waves sounding like ocean waves (is your boat on the lift or securely tied up?) just outside the french door off the master bedroom.
This peaceful setting on Camp Bay offers visitors the chance to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of Lake Pend Oreille with only the soothing sound of a breeze through the trees and the occasional cry of an eagle flying overhead with a freshly caught fish in its talons. Come and enjoy this experience for yourself! Also, excellent fishing for huge Rainbows and Lake Trout in the largest lake in Idaho.
