The cabin was perfect for two couples. Located in a quiet development and centrally located. Well stocked, clean, and exactly what we needed for an unplugged weekend!
We had a great time staying at this cozy house. We especially enjoyed walks along Canyon Creek. When we arrived we were confused to see a note on the front door that said âNo petsâ, when all the other communication about the property indicated that pets were allowed. Otherwise we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay there again.
Clean and comfy!
Kitchen is adequately stocked, very appreciated!
The description on the website is accurate.
We enjoyed our stay here and would come back. We had our two Labs with us. They enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and a trail close by the cabin.
The drive to the mountain was about 40 minutes, not to bad. We wished for snowâŠbut, happy with the sunshine đ.
We enjoyed our two night stay is this cabin. It was clean and had a well stocked kitchen (dishes/appliances). We really enjoyed the back patio and walks in the complex. Things are enthusiastically labeled, but very helpful.
Posting needs to be updated to reflect 1 King and 1 Double (says two kings). Bring your own pillows as choices are limited.
Works well for a small family or two couples.
We live nearby and would use this cabin as a getaway again.
This house is in a wooded development, so it feels like a cabin in the woods. It was quiet and peaceful. The house is very cute with 2 large bedrooms. The house was adequately stocked. Note: because of regulations spices are not available so bring some. There is a TV, cozy gas fireplace, some games in a cupboard in the kitchen.
We loved our stay here and plan on coming back in the summer to cycle up Mt. Baker and enjoy the many hiking trails that are all close by. There are restaurant opportunities and gas stations all nearby.
The Mt. Baker Lodging staff were friendly and helpful.
Cabin was very homey and comfortable. Bed was very comfy, lots of blankets, etc. Raining non stop while we were there so we spent a lot of time inside relaxing and listening to the sound of the rain. Kitchen is fully equipped lots of pots/pans/utensils. Great stay in a quiet wooded neighborhood. Within walking distance to the otherside of the neighborhood where theres a trail to the river
Covid caused the cancellation of our summer hiking trip abroad, so we chose the Mount Baker area as a substitute. This cabin was a perfect basecamp for day-hiking. When we arrived, the place was spotless! All of the systems worked as advertised, and the kitchen was well-equipped for preparing all of our meals at home. If we returned to Mount Baker in either summer or winter, we would choose this cabin again!
This property was just as described, seemed recently renovated inside and out and was well maintained. Very peaceful and private in the woods, but yet with easy access. We would happily stay here again!
Cute cabin, not so great supplies. Couldnât the kitchen knives be sharpened? Broken spatulas, peeling non-stick pans, no ice cube trays? I am a host and so I know these things are easily fixed or replaced with little cost and would leave a much better, cared for impression. Cleaners must need a ladder to reach the vents, fans, and ceilings...they are filthy.
But the bones of this cabin are strong and lication good. . Hopefully the owner will take these suggestions as intended, to improve this rental.
The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The reservation process was easy and the check-in couldn't have been easier even though we arrived after hours. The staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is quiet and the area is beautiful. Check out the Whatacom trails just down the road from the cabin. Perfect for walks with the dogs.
We had an awesome experience and staying here made our transition from living in Arizona to Washington pleasant and much less stressful. We absolutely recommend staying here.
My family had a great time in this cabin. The setting was lovely and surrounded by the forest. The house had comfortable furniture, especially the bed. The kitchen was very minimally stocked but we had no trouble making due. Take some plastic wrap or foil as there is nothing but dishes for food storage in the fridge. We would totally stay here again. Clean, quiet, and an excellent escape from the city.
There were some positive aspects to staying here, such as location and check-in and check-out process. There were a couple of cleanliness issues. Specifically, two of the pillow cases on the king bed had not been washed and there was yellow discoloration on them and they felt greasy to touch. There was also something that looked like toothpaste on the side of the king bed. I cleaned most of it off myself, as I did not know what the substance was and I was concerned it was a potential health issue.
The cabin was exactly what we needed and was a nice fit for our family ski vacation. There was a good combination of privacy and seclusion while still having good access to small grocery stores, fuel, etc. The proximity to the ski base was easy at 45 minutes in overnight deep snow that was well- plowed. Access to hiking and snowshoe trails was easy. That we could take our lab Gipsy Moth with us on our trip rather than kennel was priceless. When we do another ski trip to Mt. Baker, or maybe a summer getaway, this cabin would be our first choice.
This is a sweet house just off the highway but nicely tucked in the trees. We liked that our two young kids (ages 2 & 4) could be their loud selves without having to worry about disturbing neighbors (other houses are far enough away). It's an easy run up to Mt. Baker for skiing and snow play. The house was very clean, beds comfortable, but we did find a little mouse living there and there was some mouse poop in a drawer. My kids were excited to see a mouse but if you are afraid of mice you might want to check that this problem has been resolved. We reported it to management and they said they would look into it.
Great location, easy to find, quiet, love the fireplace! The bed upstairs is super comfy! Added bonus of a little work desk with a monitor-thank you! Very clean property.
Some feedback- the heater in the upstairs bathroom turns on by itself and heats up the toilet seat and makes it very hot! I would recommend figuring out why the heater turns on (we never used it and always had it set at low but it flips on by itself) and possible move the heater in the wall up a bit where itâs not directly heating up a toilet seat - someone could get burned. Sounds strange, But easily fixed.
We spent a few nights over the Christmas holiday. It was quiet, clean and had everything we needed (that we hadnât already brought with us).
Cabin was easy to find, no issues with cell service at the cabin itself but there was wifi too.
