Garfield Guest House est situé dans le cœur du quartier historique du centre-ville de Luray, Virginie. Le centenaire victorienne est la retraite de vacances ou de week-end parfait. Notre belle Guest House est divisée en deux entièrement meublés suites à une chambre, chaque suite bien aménagée offre privée pleine grandeur manger dans la cuisine avec tous les principaux appareils, d'un salon spacieux, une baignoire spa relaxante et clé codée entrées privées pour votre sécurité et commodité.

Promenez-vous des restaurants, des commerces ou le marché de l'agriculteur local. Détendez-vous sur le porche et profiter d'un bon repas, ou aventurez-vous à l'une des nombreuses attractions locales de la ville. Profitez des restaurants, boutiques, galeries d'art, salles de concert, les théâtres, les sections locales du centre des arts du spectacle, et le sentier imbriquée Greenway tous à distance de marche.

My Wife and I stayed one night and we love it, the place is very clean, cozy and have everything you need, Shenandoah Park, Luray Caverns and more attractive places are very close, a few minutes from the guest house

We stayed at this adorable apartment for the weekend. It was close to Shenandoah National Park and it was the perfect size for the two of us. The suite was clean and nicely appointed.

Great Experience

A very nice property and perfect for a weekend away from home. You can tell the owners take great care in making guests feel comfortable and welcome. Check in was SUPER easy and there are little touches throughout that made our stay very nice. We will definitely come back.

Nice place to stay in the Shenandoah Valley

This was a nice place to enjoy a beautiful fall weekend. Clean and comfortable. A nice selection of area tourist literature on the coffee table. The shower was a little odd, and you do need to be careful getting in and out.

Perfect Getaway

Very comfortable overnight. Loved the jacuzzi tub - both of us fit in easily and totally relaxed. Bed was good; we slept well and were refreshed in the morning. If we're ever back, we'll stay here again.

Great location, short drives to shops and restaurants. Not anything really within walking distance. Only about a 10 min drive to Luray Caverns. I will definitely stay here again.

Great Launching Point

We had a good time in Luray over the 4th of July weekend and spent time hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Was also close enough to get over to Washington DC and we parked in East Falls Church, took the metro (orange line) and rode Capital Bikes (rentals) to every major site. Super easy. Great place to stay.

Lovely, comfortable getaway

What a perfect place for a weekend getaway. My husband and I were looking for a spot to celebrate our anniversary that was close to Shenandoah but with easy access to tasty restaurants. We were so pleased to find this well-appointed, spacious, quiet, and impeccably clean top-floor apartment in Luray. We really enjoyed walking downtown for breakfast at Gathering Grounds and the ambiance of our dinner at Watch and Warrant. The space was exactly as advertised and very cozy, and communication with Larry was pleasant and fluid.

Just perfect!

Stayed here for the Shenandoah 1/2 Marathon and was literally perfect in every way. Location was ideal for me and is right in town close to everything. Larry was excellent with communication. The place was spotless and loved the extra touch of having bottled water and creamer in the fridge for coffee! The tub was amazing and much needed after running the 1/2! Bed was very comfortable. The place is just adorable. Never saw the person staying below me or heard a peep from them. Highly recommend!

Garfield getaway

This was a great house that had everything we needed and more. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. the location was perfect for us and very quiet. It was obvious that the owners wanted their guests to have an enjoyable stay. We loved the backyard space as well and used the gas grill on the deck - very nice! FYI - turned the gas off at the tank when I was done, but I think I left the metal tongs from the kitchen next to the grill - sorry. We plan to come back in the near future!

Hawksbill Suite is perfect

My wife and I took a chance on a private listing for the first time. The Garfield Guest House is an absolute gem. As soon as we walked in we were pleasantly surprised. The suite was immaculate and charming. The bathroom has the biggest spa tub I’ve ever seen. Certainly big enough for two-as we later were informed by Larry the host. We slept on an extremely comfortable mattress and the decor is beautiful. My first concerns when traveling are safety and cleanliness. Both of these items were checked upon check in. Do yourself a favor-stay at the Garfield Guest House, it’s worth it.

Nice apartment

Immaculately kept apartment that was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed. The house is close enough to town to walk to dinner and served as a great base as we hiked, explored the caverns and National Park. Very comfy bed and tons of towels. Coffee supplies were very much appreciated! Wifi was fast and the outdoor space was pretty. Supplied robes were also a nice touch. Kitchen windows could use curtains as there was no way to block views from the street. Huge tub was a delight for soaking; people with mobility issues could have a hard time getting in and out for showering/bathing. Overall we enjoyed this rental and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Wonderful

The only issue may not even need to be mentioned. It clearly stated online that check-in 3 pm, check-out 11 am. Then after reading the other documentation, given after booking, stating that check-in was anytime after 2pm we arrived early & found the owners preparing for our arrival...making us early. A glitch that may have made arrival smoother? The place was just as advertised, clean, spacious and just what we were looking for. We'll be back.

We do our very best to provide every guest an excellent, comfortable and clean experience during their stay. We clearly stated on the welcome letter, check-in instructions, and website that check-in was at 3pm. We haven't been able to ascertain where they are getting the conflicting information. We work on very tight timelines between guests to make the property perfect for our next visiting guest arrival. We attempted to go above, and beyond during their stay to make our guests comfortable given their unexpected early check-in. These guests admittedly knew they were arriving early given their statements in their review.. We ask our guests to confirm arrival times to better the check-in process, but they chose to ignore that communication.

Experienced travelers learn what makes a difference between a good vacation and a great one. This property has what we want: privacy, elegance, amenities, and attention to detail. It is quiet -- so sleep in if you want to! The bed is amazingly comfortable, with soft, high-thread count sheets. The kitchen is east facing to welcome the morning sun and inspire you while you plan your day. The elegant color palette including beautiful wine, reds and earth tones flows throughout the spaces. Super fast WiFi without any issues, Smart TVs, a walk in closet, and feet friendly carpeting make this space feel like home in minutes instead of hours. Add to that your professionally prepared breakfast from locally sourced ingredients, and a relaxing option of soaking in a jetted tub and you may never leave to site see. The hosts are warm, friendly, and authentically committed to your happiness. If you're like me: travel ready and road tested then you've earned the right to enjoy places like this one.

Incredible vacation

Larry was the perfect host. He provided everything we needed, but did not hover at all. The suite was beautifully, decorated and so clean! It was a wonderful value for the quality.

Larry, a native Washingtonian grew up in the Maryland suburbs and worked for many top organizations including years at Marriott executive headquarters. The hospitality business came natural to me. I took the leap to go back to Culinary School, and wanted to put my skills to work in a business that was fitting to my personality. Since moving to Luray I have been working with many of the top Inns, Bed and Breakfast, and Spas in Little Washington and Luray, Virginia.

Janine, a world traveler and a native New Zealander came to the Washington area over 15 years ago. She works in a top law firm in Washington, and spends her weekends in the Shenandoah. Always up for the adventure of travel and her love of great wines is a wealth of information on both in the Shenandoah and around the world.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This little house in the heart of Luray had so many redeeming qualities, and we just loved it. The house was centrally located to everything in the area. We loved cabins, but found them a little too isolated. We wanted to find things to do after a day at the vineyards, in the mountains or on the river. It was perfect for having a great evening out at one of the local restaurants or events and could easily walk back being just minutes away. The house offered a perfect mix of country and town. Our goal was to bring amenities to the house that we sorely wanted while we were traveling. A place to relax, a place to enjoy with friends, and a place we could enjoy together. We hope that you will find that here and that you will love it too.
