Very nice quiet vacation get away. Cottage we had sat right on the lake and it was very peaceful to just sit on the screened porch and watch the water and feel the breeze coming off the lake.
This two bedroom compact camp sits on the edge of a fresh water pond with a river running through property as well. In the pond we saw river otters, turtles, fish, ducks and loons. Eagles soared above. Walking on a nearby trail saw two huge beaver dams. This vintage cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The screened porch was amazing. When it was too chilly to sit there we came in and built a roaring fire. The firewood is provided...split, stacked with kindling and newspapers. The owners, Theresa and Bill were accessible and answered any questions
Lovely quiet spot complete with a pond and boats. Unfortunately we stayed only one night on our way to another location. Clean and respectfully kept up. This is a gem. Planning on staying again on the way home.
Every day, groups of turtles and one big snapper came and said, hello. My dog especially loved chasing frogs back into the water. I guess he thought they belonged there. Lol. From sunrise to sunset, the porch was my favorite spot. Or the little kitchen table. Just a great place to be.
We stayed over one night in cabin 3 on our way to Canada. What a great location! Cabins are fun and there is a pond and river to swim in and explore. Boats and life jackets are available to use, too. The beds and pillows were a little uncomfortable, but overall our stay was great and the kids had a lot of fun.
It was exactly as we expected. A real Maine camp with real Maine owners. Only the best! We hope to be able to go again some day.

Robinson's Cottages was a wonderful place to stay. My sister and I were in state to visit her son and daughter-in-law who live in Princeton. While this wasn't necessarily close to their home it worked well because there were lots of places to see not too far from the cottage. The setting was idyllic; so peaceful and my nephew and his wife loved stopping by there and visiting. We had dinner there one night (he had made "moose" lasgna and they enjoyed fun fishing and canoeing. I highly recommend Robinson's cottages if you want to unwind and relax. Thanks so much for the lovely stay.
Beautiful cabin and scenery with fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of firewood, which was important because the space heater had trouble keeping the whole cottage warm. Canoes, badminton, volleyball, swings, canoes, and kayaks kept us plenty entertained without leaving the site.
We were looking for a
Getaway spot to unplug,
Spend time outdoors and sit
In front of a roaring fire at night and read a book. This is the spot! Total relaxation and (mostly) unplugged (they do have WiFi) from the rat race. I couldnât recommend the cabins more highly. They are rustic so leave the blow dryer at home but youâll unwind and feel the stress melt off of. You.
We weren't vacationing; we just needed a roof over our heads and in Downeast Maine many places were closed for the season. We booked Robinson's Cottage hurriedly for that reason but think we'd love to go back and stay a week, for sure. We loved it and she was very gracious. Opportunity for using her husband's guide service is an additional plus and the location is great for a variety of outdoor adventures.
We greatly enjoyed the stay. we arrived in the dark and were blown away by the view the next morning. I was going crazy taking photos the next morning. The fog on the lake and autumn colors were breathtaking. Wish we would have had another nights stay.
The location and view are spectacular, the cabin cozy, clean and comfortable, and the hosts are wonderful and friendly. We are so glad and thankful that we stayed there.
Extremely cozy cottage! Great location for exploring all the excellent hikes, paddles and parks nearby. We loved having access to the Dennys to cool off and paddle around right there...would highly recommend!
This was my first time planning my own trip with some friends and i gotta say we picked the most perfect place! The cabin we stayed in was so cute and tiny and just everything we needed. A bit of a drive to get there but iâm from Rhode Island so i was expecting it BUT im also really glad you guys were easy to find once we got there. We all had an amazing time, thank you for having us as guests!
Very serene stay in wonderful log cabin at waters edge. ( our 2nd time) Bucolic setting. Punctuated by Patriotic Fourth of July fireworks too
Always well taken care of by our hosts.
Cabin in the woods on a pond. Great place to isolate and start the 'Great American Novel' but otherwise, very rustic. Reminiscient of Grannd Dad's hunting cabin. Beautiful fieldstone fireplace but ...seemed to be the only source of heat. Got cold before the dawn.
Great location. Loved the screened in porch and the peace and quiet. Unfortunately it was in the 90âs & humid. Not having tv is fine but no AC was unbearable.
This was a perfect place to get away and enjoy nature! Wish I could have stayed much longer. We plan to definitely return for a longer visit. The fireplace was prefect and cozy with the cool evening. The view in the morning sitting on the porch over the pond was perfection. Donât hesitate not to book... but make sure you bring bug spray... the mosquitoes can be a bit much. But donât worry the porch is screened in so they can stay out.
My son and I came for a mini vacation during spring break -it snowed and so we didnât do all the things we thought weâd do but we played board games and roasted marshmallows by the fire and occasionally braved to cold to sit on the covered porch and take in the view. Will definitely go back - maybe longer next time and in the summer
Robinson's Cottages is a seasonal vacation cottage business run by the same family for over 100 years. The 7 cottages and single tent site are all located on one property overlooking the Dennys River and a private pond in Edmunds Township, ME. Each cottage retains it's privacy with plenty of space and woods in between. Six of the cottages are log and are located on either the river or the pond. One cottage is a small clapboard house and is located on a sunny hillside overlooking the entrance. The tent site is located in a shady spot at a bend in the river.Â
