Peaceful Property with Extraordinary Views

We had a truly restful stay at this amazing home. There are large windows in every room that allow you to enjoy the beauty of the lake and the surrounding property. We enjoyed the way this home and hosts welcomed us with open arms.

Canandaigua Lake vacation

The house was great!! Spacious indoors, and spacious outdoors -- huge deck, large yard both on the lake side and on the road side of the house. We brought our pontoon boat, and the dock was perfect for it (we had checked with the owner ahead of time to make sure we could keep it there), and the yard on the road side had plenty of space to keep our trailer for the week. We appreciated having access to the kayak and the paddle boards. The owner was very responsive when we had a question about the trash pickup.

August 24 Family vacation

This is a great house. Beautiful views. My family (and extended family) rented this house in the first week of August 2024. The house is terrific. When we got there there was a tremendous amount of seaweed in the water. So much so we did not even get into the water off the dock. Also at this end of the lake, there is a lot of silt. Who knew? So if you go in the shallow end you quickly are above your ankles in Silt. Really bad.

Home is a beautiful property right on the lake in a nice neighborhood, Close enough to shopping, breweries and restaurants yet it feels private. Would recommend and would return.

Perfect House

I have only great things to say about this house, property, and location! The house itself was so nice and clean, and perfectly laid out for 2 families to stay in. The backyard and deck were clean and had ample chairs and tables to use. The lake is beautiful and we made good use of the kayaks and paddleboard that were available to use. The hot tub with a perfect view of the lake was also a big hit! It was also very nice to have an outdoor grill to use. The location is great too - very short drive into town and wineries and breweries nearby. We had a wonderful time there and hope to go back!

Beautiful Lake House

This property is beautiful. Well kept, clean, and the views are spectacular. We rented for a long weekend for graduation at RIT plus birthdays and Mothers Day. Had many events for the graduation that we didnt get to enjoy many amenities at the house like the hot tub or kayaks/paddleboards but they are available. Definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the Finger Lakes region. It is a gem.

This home has everything to enjoy a few days by the lake. The views are spectacular and the deck, fire pit, hot tub, and 2 kayaks are great for spending some time outdoors.

Wonderful mini vacay!

Great house!

Beautiful home on the water. Backyard with fire pit was great and the deck is huge with a great view of the lake. Super convenient to town yet still very private. House is very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable and the layout was good for our family. Lake was great for kayaking and the runners in the family loved running on West Lake Rd. (plenty of hills)

Beautiful Graduation Getaway

Enjoyed a very nice RIT graduation weekend at the Gilberts lake house on Canandaigua. The home is in a beautiful setting with mature trees, and lots of parking, lakefront and lawn. We enjoyed the lake views and many amenities of the property, including kayaks, hot tub, fire pit and indoor fireplace. The owners were quick to respond to all our questions- they were great hosts. We would love to stay here again.

Wonderful home

This was one of the best rentals we’ve stayed in. The home was exceptionally clean and had every thing we could have possibly needed or wanted. Furniture and beds were comfortable, extra blankets were easily accessible, and the kitchen and bathrooms had all the staples I could have imagined. The view was great for beautiful sunrises and the location was convenient for a day trip to Niagara Falls. Would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect family spot on the lake

Great location:right near town and right on the lake. With great views of the lake, the house appears to have been recently updated and very comfortably accommodated our family of 5. We enjoyed some time in the hot tub and taking the kayaks out on the lake.

Beautiful home

The home is beautiful and the photos are accurate. Going during the colder months we got to enjoy the fireplace and they provided lots of wood! The home is absolutely clean and well cared for. All furniture is comfortable and the jacuzzi is just close enough to run in and out for during a snow fall! Owners quickly respond, are courteous, and seem to genuinely care about your stay. We loved it so much we booked again!

Beautiful home, great view!

Very clean, comfortable home. The weather was wet most of our stay so we didn't enjoy the outdoor areas as much as we would have liked, except the hot tub which was great. But the deck would be awesome in good weather and the view of the lake is fantastic. Short drive to town, so convenient for groceries, restaurants, etc. Well stocked kitchen. I liked that there is a gas stove and a good set of knives (just something to consider if you cook a lot). Communication with the owner was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family getaway

What a great house in a beautiful location! We celebrated Thanksgiving and a major birthday for my wife with our three sons. The house was the perfect location both to celebrate the holiday and birthday and to explore the many offerings of the area. It has a nice open plan with two sitting areas and everything was convenient. Bad weather interfered with some of our plans in the region so it was a nice consolation to come back to the great fireplace (with more than enough wood provided) and the awesome hot tub. Wonderful experience!

Absolutely beautiful property and great location!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!! Four of us came and We had an amazing time! From The beautiful views of the lake! The firepit The deck! And oh how can we forget that hot tub!! The house was so clean. And it had anything you possibly could think of! Minutes away from breweries and restaurants!! We look forward to staying again!

Fall Staycation

This beautiful home was the perfect location for a fall family weekend. The home was spotless, nicely decorated, and well-maintained. The fire pit, kayaks, and hot tub made for a great time for all ages. The view is just spectacular. We'll have to come back again when it's warmer.
