This was such a nice place to get away next to the beautiful lake. Easy to access after hours arrival and then finish check in the next morning. Clean upon arrival. Pool was nice in the evening.
We enjoyed our stay in Avon! Having a pool, hot tub, and lake path near by was a treat! We also enjoyed walking to several local restaurants and found a couple of excellent hikes in the area. There is some noise of the interstate when windows in the unit are open. The kitchen was great for eating meals at âhome.â A beautiful location!
From the beginning Lorrayne & Vrbo were great. The place was easy to find, people at the front desk were professional and extremely helpful on how to get around. The condo was exactly as shown in the pictures and perfect for our family. This was our 1st time not staying ski in / out. The shuttles were so easy to navigate. Looking forward to going back next year!
I love this complex. We have stayed at Beaver Creek West many times before. This particular place would have been great but there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and no firewood, causing me to think perhaps the place was not fully cleaned. Then I got bed bugs from the sheets which I have never had and I am questioning whether the sheets were ever washed between rentals. Super disappointed and miserable 10 days after rental I have pics of bed bug bites if wanted. Will not go back
This is a nice functional cozy place to stay. The beds are good and the living area is cozy. Love that there was plenty of wood stacked and that the pool and hot tubs were open late. The management was very kind and let us stay a bit late on thanksgiving so I could have WiFi for a zoom
Call with my family. The not-so-good: Thereâs a pervasive scent in the apartment that reminded me a bit of my elderly Polish mother...a little moth-bally and a little old world-y. The carpet needs replacing as it is stained. There was a sign on one of the showers saying not to use it because the grout was wet, but we paid for a two bed two bath, so we waited 24 hours for the grout to dry and then used it anyway . The kitchen is not adequately stocked for those who like to cook. Two pots, two pans, all with Teflon coating that is scratched and should be replaced . No spatula. Otherwise, itâs fine.
We stayed 6 nights in the condo for a family ski trip. We loved the wood burning fireplace with wood provided. Hot tub and sauna areas were nice. We skied 2 days at Beaver Creek. The first day we walked out to the Lake St. bus stop which is provided by the city of Avon. (Maybe 1 block from condo- super close) This drops you right outside of Beaver Creek Village and was super easy and convenient. Second day we walked to the Westin and took the gondola over to Bachelor Gulch side. The Westin is a bit far for me in ski boots, but definitely doable. We often bring shoes and get a locker on the mountain. Our 3rd day of skiing we reserved a seat on the condo shuttle which drives you to the Lionshead gondola at Vail. It was so nice to get the door to door service. We had 2 very minor maintenance issues at the condo and they were both fixed the same day. The condo is on the 4th floor which I liked because it had high ceilings with wood beams. The elevator worked fine, parking was fine. My only critique of this particular condo is the mattresses are quite worn, we felt like we kept rolling to the middle during the night. The furniture and bedding is a bit worn. I would consider staying here again, or in another condo in the same complex. For dining in Avon we liked Bobâs place for a casual locals bar feel with tvs, pool tables, darts and foosball. For fine dining we enjoyed bin48 which has great food, atmosphere, seasoned staff. Iâm glad we chose Avon over Vail this trip, itâs easier to navigate and less bougie!
This place was totally undersold in my view. We had a total blast. Located just a short walk to the lake and beach and centrally located with easy access to restaurants, shops, grocery store. Our kids (ages 5 and 7) had an absolute ball. The condo itself is a little outdated, but it was cosy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
The condo was close but not easy to get to/ from mountain and shuttle does NOT run past 5pm which kind of stinks if you want to apres ski in the village at all. Condo was a bit dated but very clean
Our family of 4 adults really enjoyed our stay; It was roomy (the high ceilings were a bonus), very clean, and updated. The kitchen was well-appointed but could've used better pots and pans (our family cooks a good bit), but I'm sure if we had asked the property manager they would've helped out as they were very accommodating. The hot tub, pool, and sauna were amazing after a day of skiing! We didn't end up using the shuttles but they were close in the next building over, and our walk to the Landing for ski rentals and access to Beaver Creek mountain was short. Walk into town for restaurants and shopping was short as well. We definitely recommend this condo and neighborhood.

Adequate accomodations but pricey
This property is in a dated building with major repairs needed to exterior walkways. The unit looks like it was decorated 15 years ago with no updates. The kitchen had some appliance updates but then the dishwasher wouldn't open fully because the oven drawer handles stuck out. To adjust the heating in the bedroom you have to crawl under a bunk bed. The unit is fairly dark with poor lighting in living and kitchen areas. The soap and paper products provided were very cheap.
On the plus side the TV's and wifi were updated and worked well. The shuttle to the ski resorts was very convenient and worked great. Vail/Beaver Creek has become ridiculously expensive and we paid a $$$$ price for a 2 star property.
BC West felt like a ski in ski out condo - we drove in and did not have to touch the car until departure. Three morning trips to Vail on the shuttle schedule with three afternoon trips home after skiing - Thursdays through Sunday, reservation required but not difficult to obtain during the Presidents' Day Weekend; almost continuous service to BC in the morning and afternoons via the Westin Gondola. Neither Vail nor BC felt all that crowded - maybe the heatwave in Denver kept the locals at home to enjoy the Summer weather. Elevator building, but walkways were sloped/angled which might make disability access challenging. Nicely decorated unit on the third floor, quiet. We walked into town for dinners and trips to the supermarket. The Avon Rec center is nearby for more activity. Mike B (property mgr) was responsive with emails and information. The pool and hot tub were busy but pleasant. There is also a sauna in the pool area. Very nice complex.
